This. These cruise lines know they cannot afford to risk another PR disaster if covid-19 spreads out of control on a sailing when they restart. They won't be restarting until they have the ability to test people and monitor people during the voyage.
They will go bankrupt before a vaccine is made. They cannot wait...so you really think cruise ships, casinos, and movie theaters are not going to open ASAP?

Ain't going to be any CCL cruise's July, Aug. Sept and on and on. Get used to it.
Arizona is opening up May 15th. Trump is also not extending his order. The Mexican Riviera appears ready for business.

Disney is one of those scenarios where I think social distancing will be next to impossible. Any theme parks for that matter, as groups of people freely wander those venues. Some areas may be able to distance, for instance the lines to ride, but the parks in general …. I can't see it happening.
they can limit capacity for the entire park and then by sections of the park. Allow 10,000 in and then assign a section and rotate that number from section to section.

Trump is not extending his order, that's great news if you want to cruise sooner than later. What that holds for everything else is yet to be seen.

The industry won't survive the amount of time required to find a vaccine. If it morphs then it's a game of educated guesses. If it becomes seasonal we will see some years worse than others. The worse scenario is it becoming seasonal.

one possibility is to limit the number of available cabins. So when you see the ship looking full it could be because they are nearing their predetermined limit.
This... plus the new sail rules might eliminate a few as well (over 70 years old, underlying medical conditions)

This is great news (doubled my money already). If they can resume cruises sooner than later it will soar over $20...

I am not seeing great pricing at all. Just tried to book our October cruise and the price is now over $500 more than it was about 3 weeks ago. So frustrating. I didn't book it then because, HELLO- Pandemic! NOw the price has shot up so much I will not book it out of sheer principle. Checking other cruise options now for our kids October Fall break from school. May opt for a land trip instead.
Demand is high, a lot of canceled cruisers are rebooking and are getting great perks.

Sounds like it....assuming the Saudis don't sell the stock at the end of the day after driving the price up. 🙂

They don't have a history of that. They own 8.2% of the company now.

I think you meant you hope they dont go bankrupt ???
Not with loans (you can't take a huge loan and then go BK) and Saudi money/stake.

You guys do realize that the price can drop to zero and never recover, right?
That's the risk, don't buy if you can't afford to lose about $700-$1000 (100 shares).

Have not been on Panorama, but on Vista the doors were not magnetic. Some walls, yes, but not the doors. We used those removable, damage-free hooks hooks, and everything either had a hole or string to hang from the hooks. Took less than 30 seconds to remove all of them at end of cruise.
Ok, thank you

Wife would like to decorate the cabin door, so are the doors magnetic? Specifically deck 14 spa rooms. Thank you!!

Our July Cloud 9 Balcony is a about $100 more per person than what we booked for.
-
8P? Ours shows 8T for Cloud 9 Spa Balcony. Maybe it varies by ship? We are on the Panorama

I may be misinterpreting the question, but assuming you are checking for price drops. I check online for prices to retreat on my July cruise, but I would think that if a section is sold out, there is no reason for price to drop....one thing you CAN do is cheeck the website daily to see if maybe an upgradd cabin drops in price enough to make changing rooms worth it....
This makes sense, no reason for prices to drop for a sold out section. Price drop on an upgrade is more likely.
