it's a poker table which deals a new 52 card deck every hand. There are no algorithms or hankie pankie. Better players usually win more than poor players who call every hand. The cruise line does take a pretty heavy rake, more than Vegas. As a poker player, I hated the electronic tables when they came out. It takes a while to get into the flow. Odd, some ships I never see players and some ships there is a waiting list

    Thanks for the info.

  2. My daily plan with Cheers

Spiked Coffee and regular coffee from coffee bar (no MDR coffee for me)

    Bloody Mary (x2)

    Water/Gatorade

    Mixed/Boat/Frozen drink

    Water/soda

    Beer with lunch (x2)

    Gatorade

Mixed drinks/Alchemy bar (at least 2)

    Water/ Gatorade

    Beer with dinner (x2)

After dinner drinks/shows/ other bars (at least 3 more)

At least 10+ alcohol drinks per day. Add Coffee,  water, Gatorade, and soda and it easily makes sense money wise.

  3. We reserved the steakhouse and prepaid. It doesn't show up on documents or planner. It does show up under Booking and Order details. Is that normal? Will it show up closer to the date? Online check in isn't available until April 19th so maybe that's the reason?

    Thank you

Has anyone had the opportunity to dine here? I was thinking about booking a reservation but would like to get some feedback before I do. The Menu looks real good and I am sure the food is great but would like to hear from some experienced dinners. Is there a dress code? What would be a good time to make the reservation for? Can I bring a "Corked" bottle of wine with us when we go or should I just get one there?

    Thanks for your input.

We booked for the 2nd night of our cruise and it will also be our first time as well. The food looks great and to be honest the price is excellent for a steakhouse. The only thing, it's not a regular reservation. I had to prepay the $38 x 2. Like I said, I have paid more for a steak with no appetizers, sides, or dessert.

You can buy cruise cash with Carnival gift cards.  Get the discount on the gift card and have the cash already on your account when you board.

This seems the way to go. And I assume the casino trick still allows you to cash out cruise cash.

    • I just started about 2 weeks ago..I'm planning on letting the huevos rancheros be my "treat" since I don't eat them anywhere else. And beyond that I plan to stick to burger bowls at Guys, Steak and Eggs, chicken breast...etc. that part is not to hard but I can't do my normal frosty beer so I'll have to find an alternative based on what's available on board.

Plenty of beers you can have while on Keto

What does FTTF have to do with a dinner choice? YTD is the best choice. I’d never switch.

I think FTTF works the same as YTD but you can set reservations with FTTF. Maybe I read it wrong. From the Carnival website regarding FTTF. I probably won't bother changing it

    "Dining Reservations

Priority Main Dining Room and Specialty Restaurant reservations (excluding Your Time Dining)."

We stayed in the Cloud 9 Spa on Carnival and loved it.  We did a review if you would like to take a look.

Thanks for the review. We are super excited for our first cruise. We are also in Spa Balcony on the 14th deck (Panorama).
