  1. Hello Everyone, Now that we are in port in Southampton for an extra night on the Splendor’s London to Copenhagen cruise (August 7th) can anyone tell me if we will have the opportunity for any excursions there? We board on the 7th but we don’t sail till the 9th due to some technical upgrade. There are no ports listed on the itinerary and I received our electronic boarding passes this morning. Thank you.
  2. Never mind - Googled it. They are pretty cool.
  3. Please forgive my ignorance, but what is a Mova globe?
  4. Thank you, Kwaj girl. That’s very disappointing. It appears then that the cruise credit is pretty worthless to people like us.
  5. Hello everyone! First, please allow me to thank everyone for their enormously helpful answers on this forum. If this topic has been addressed, forgive me for repeating it. So, because of our cruise’s unscheduled days at sea we have been given an extra $500 shipboard credit. We are not wine connoisseurs and I can’t justify the spa costs but we do enjoy the occasional video poker game. We usually feed a 20 dollar bill into each of our machines, one at a time and cheer each other on with the understanding that win or lose we walk away no matter if we break even, lose or pay for the night’s entertainment. So my question is, can we use our onboard credit for this and if we win, do we get cash or just more onboard credit? Obviously I’m being very optimistic but we’re usually about at a break even level and it’ll be much more fun if we think we might “pay for the cruise” LOL. Believe me, I know we won’t get that lucky but it’ll be a lot more fun to play for cash than for more cruise credit. Thanks so much for your responses. Kim
  6. So does Regent reimburse you for the hotel stay you missed if you’re Concierge level or better?
  7. Fudge, That’s awful! I bought the Apple AirTags that folks were talking about in the hopes that I’ll be able to track my bag if it’s lost. It’s a nice piece of luggage and it’s certainly not one I want to lose so it was worth the $27 to hopefully protect it. I really hope you get your stuff back soon.
  8. Just read that the SAS strike has possibly been settled! Yay! Now if they could just manage to find all the luggage from Heathrow!🙄
  9. Mudhen, Thank you for your advice. I must admit to being very nervous about getting into Heathrow (an obvious nightmare from what I’ve seen) and getting out of Copenhagen. If time wasn’t so short at this point, I’d postpone the trip until the airline situation improves but for now I’m just going to hope for the best. Kim

  11. We are flying out of Copenhagen on SAS on August 19th as we come off the Splendor’s North Atlantic cruise. The flight arrangements (made by Regent) still show the Scandinavian leg from Copenhagen to Newark as a go, but if that gets cancelled, does anyone know what Regent will do?
  12. Good to know! Than you. Any opinion on the deck 14 options?
  13. Hello Everyone, I have always found this forum to be extremely helpful and I am hoping this will be the case here as well. We have been offered an upgrade on the Splendor from a Concierge to a Penthouse (not free of course) and I need advice on a stateroom selection. The Penthouse A cabins are in the front of the ship on decks 12 and 14 (with deck 14 options almost adjacent to the Regent Suite.). The Penthouse C options are 900, 800 & 700 in between the two much larger Grand Suites. There is also a handicapped accessible cabin available on deck 9. In the deck plans the 900, 800 & 700 appear to be much larger than the typical PH. Is that true? Do the cabins on 12 and 14 really rock and roll due to their height (and if so, why is the super deluxe Regent suite on 14?) We have a couple of sea days on this cruise and I don’t know if we’ll get another chance at this kind of upgrade again. Any advice would be enormously appreciated. Thanks, Kim
  14. Hello Aloha 1, I’m terribly sorry about the delay and I hope there’s still time to answer your question. We were using our phones to make contact with Emed. The question was “Do you hear this sound?” and then a couple of notes were played. OK, no problem. Then for whatever reason, the website said that we needed to “turn on our microphone” in settings which we had already done and checked on several times. Eventually we were “heard” but it was very frustrating. I think next time, I’ll use my iPad or a computer instead as that may fix the problem. Like I said, hope I’m not too late to answer your question.
  15. Hello, We are currently in Civitavecchia having just spent the week in Tuscany. Yes, masks were required on the trains both coming from the airport to Tuscany and traveling to Civitavecchia today. But, we never needed them in any of the places we traveled to in Tuscany and it looks like most stores and restaurants here are becoming less strict about the process. We also didn’t need to wear them on the plane or in the airport. So, I guess it’s still a fluid process and hopefully it goes away soon. We’re thrilled we don’t have to test again to go home to the States because that eMed test we took last night was a giant pain. The test itself was easy, but getting them to “recognize” our devices was a nightmare and took multiple attempts- very stressful. At least it’s done and we’re ready to sail tomorrow.
