  1. We're Elite+ but to me personally chasing the next status level makes no sense because it would mean missing out on other lines. M and S class ship balconies probably do make a lot more sense than suites on port intensive cruises at some of the prices I've seen. :)
  2. It's not worth it to me. I think we paid about as much as I value the sky suite experience. It's not worth much more to me. But Celebrity can ask what they like. We take as many land vacations as we do cruises and are not married to their loyalty program so more than happy to cruise with AZ and O etc which can and do offer much better value for money in many instances so it's all good. 🙂
  3. I assume this will be your first time in Retreat class? Don't line up as you are not guaranteed a table straight away as a suite guest. Instead use the app to check the menus. Decide when you wish to dine in Blu and have your Retreat Host arrange this for you. You're pretty much guaranteed (unofficially) to have no issues then as the Blu maitre 'd will be expecting you.
  4. We have a package booked directly with Azamara. Our flights are with EasyJet. Not our airline of choice but our only option when booking with them. So I'm not sure why you have been told AZ don't use them?
  5. I've been cruising Celebrity for a long time now and used to think I had my head around Celebrity pricing in both the US and UK. But right now it's hard to see how they are pricing their cruises. Smart Alec's will tell you it's all about supply and demand... Obviously! But last year we booked a 10 night sky suite cruise at £2800 per person with the all inclusive package in the Med. I don't personally value it at much more than that but was comfortable with that price. Just before we set sail I checked prices out of interest. The exact same deal had increased to £9367 per person. Each to their own and people should pay what they are happy with, But I seriously doubt many will see a sky suite as being worth £937 per person per night! I assumed they had one or two rooms left and were trying their luck. Long story short, we had some issues with our suite and were immediately offered a new room. We had many sky suites to choose from.... So I'd love to know why Celebrity chose to hike pricing up by over 300% with multiple suites left! I have been surprised with some of the pricing on M class ships recently. It's been as high as comparable cabins on S and E class on some of the cruises I've looked at and as I said to friends very recently I expect that to soften in coming months as they appear far too high IMHO. Time will tell....
  6. I'm also tall. Your husband will find his feet hanging off the corner in reality. I often do. Shorter people won't notice any difference.
  7. We have flights to the US in 8 weeks time for a land vacation. Is there any chance that the testing requirements there will be scrapped anytime soon as they are in most of Europe?
  8. I was on this cruise. There were 1700 passengers onboard. The captain announced there were 3 confirmed cases of covid onboard. However all four members of our party have since tested positive after disembarking Reflection. Thankfully we all have mild symptoms but it does suggest there were considerably more cases onboard that the ship was unaware of.
  9. This got posted on Facebook recently. It is for the Celebrity Reflection 13th of May sailing this year. A 10 day S2 Sky Suite for £9367 ($12177) per person!
  10. Minor changes to some public areas. Itinerary and cost would be far more important than choosing Millie just because she's had a refurb though.
  11. If you're in the UK then you're lucky. You can choose to book in the UK or in the US depending on what deal appeals to you most at the time of booking.
  12. Hello all I wonder if you could help me with a question please? I was surprised to log into my Azamara account and find that Celebrity Captains Club points earned last month have been added to my Azamara Circle account. Does anyone know when the reciprocal agreement will end now that AZ are an independent company? Secondly we have some friends who are considering sailing with us on AZ. They have not sailed on this line previously but did book a trip which was cancelled due to covid. They signed up for the AZ circle program and are Elite with Celebrity. So they show as Discover status now despite never having sailed on AZ. My second question is will they receive the Discoverer perks? Or will they need to complete one AZ sailing first to enjoy discounts etc in the future? Thank you in advance.
