  1. Wondering if anyone might have more information on the use of hanging room dividers in cabins. I happened to notice that "Curtains, drapes or hanging room dividers" are prohibited by Carnival. Which was a bit of a surprise because I used a curtain as a room divider on the Carnival Vista not too long ago and nobody said anything to me. Plus there are numerous blogs and cruise tips articles suggesting exactly that. Is this a new policy? Or are there exceptions? I had used a semi sheer curtain panel hung from magnetic hooks on the ceiling. I noticed some of the tips suggesting this do say to use shower curtains. My family will be cruising on the Dream this summer and I was planning to do the same thing again.
  2. You both appear to be correct. Based on what I can dig up now on the Carnival website, everything says the Havana pool is exclusive to those rooms and the grand suites. I guess it's just the Havana bar that is open to others. A little disappointing, but the bar area sounds quite nice too.
  3. Thanks for the info. My family will be cruising on the Vista in early June. We have a Family Harbor cabin since we now have young children. Normally I like balcony cabins and especially the Cloud 9 Spa cabins. How was the Havana area after 7pm? I understand it's open to all after that time. I would have loved to try one of those cabins, but both kiddos are under 12. I'm still looking forward to checking it out in the evening though. What is your preferred cruise line now? I've been eyeballing Royal Caribbean quite a bit. But I would say that ships with a spa that has relaxation rooms has become one of my biggest selling points. I haven't sailed on any Carnival ship that doesn't have a Cloud 9 Spa. Texas standards, i.e. less than an 8 hour drive lol
  4. So I am booked on a the Vista in June. I'm deciding if the Cheers package might be worth it this time. Last time I cruised on the Splendor I just ordered a bottle of Vodka to the room before the cruise and mixed it with juice at the Lido deck (which was free then, not sure if anymore with the Bottomless Bubbles). Outside of that wife and I only had a few drinks from the bar. That worked wonderfully for that cruise. However now I am into different drinks like old fashioned, martinis, manhattans, etc. Then my wife likes her fancy coffees in the morning. Plus she like her fruity cocktails as well. So I am thinking the pre-cruise price for the Cheers package may be worth it. Open to thoughts, ideas, and opinions. Thank you.
