Apologies if this has been asked and answered before...but 77 pages is a lot to scroll through.

Does anyone know if any of the tax-payor funded (i.e. not free) USA government corona tests can be used to satisfy embarkation testing requirements? I've read that emed and optum are options, but I'd rather use ones that my tax dollars already paid for.

Here's another one that uses the tests you already have https://onpoint-testing.com/product/certified-teleservice-covid-testing/

Yes, LA you will have the government formalities as mentioned above.  You also will need a covid test, which PCL does complimentary because you are going on an oceanic cruise for your b2b.  So, your TA is correct.  Who knows what the rules will be in 2023?

Just hoping something will change by then.  But even with the test, the comment that we could remain on the ship is hopeful.

It depends on the rules/regulation of the turnaround port/country. We did not have to get tested for Rome turnaround on Regal Barcelona-Rome/Rome-Athens B2B last month. I know Greece had stricter rules than Spain and Italy so possibly people staying on in Athens had to get tested.

Thanks  - we will be in Los Angeles - 😉

  4. While I will have a similar situation in Jan 2023 - and intentionally have two different cabins, I think there's a 'wrinkle' that no one has covered.  As far as I know b2b still requires a covid test - which as far as my TA and Princess docs specify, means a day or so before Princess will administer the test.  If positive, I assume we would be removed from the ship (with all of our luggage) and not be allowed to return on the next leg of our journey.  Since I'm booked on the world cruise as the 2nd leg, sure hoping that's not still going to be the procedure come January.....

Interesting. I hadn't seen this before. So, is the "complete wine list book" readily available?

We looked at it every night we ate in the MDR or specialty restaurants to pick wine - even tho' on our previous trips we didn't have Plus.  On our next cruise we will have Plus but we'll pick out our favorites, if we can find them for $12 and under, and if not, pay the difference.

Sooo....it would seem like it wouldn't be too hard to tell you the brand.....and it would make people much happier. I like Chardonnays, but that doesn't mean I like ALL Chardonnays. Maybe if I knew what they were going to serve me, if I don't like it I would pay the upcharge, but to just serve me 'pot luck' is pretty annoying.....

The bin number is on the menu and one can always look at the complete wine list book with vinyard and prices listed

Thanks all.  We have 23 cruises in our past and aren’t new at this..hence wondering.  Perhaps a regional discount or like Atlanta cruiser said…targeting new  to cruising guests which they are but it’s not  a good way to treat their long time patrons…may move on to another company….not Carnival Inc.

I think @atlantacruiser72 was on the right track.  Once when my brother who lives in NY while I live in FL were pricing the same cabins and kept coming up with different pricing and obc.  It took awhile until we figured out that the state was the difference - which was confirmed when he called Princess.

Can anyone provide a list or link to what is included spirits wise etc in the two packages? Other than one is up to $12.00 and the other $18.00

What spirits are above that $12.00 threshold?

There have been several threads lately on this - just browse the list for a few pages

We were on the May 26 to June 29 sailing and our safe would not work at first.  Then DH started trying every number to see if it appeared on the display.  Only 5 and 6 appeared there so he tried locking it with a code containing only those two numbers.  It locked.  Thereafter we were able to lock our valuables in that safe.  But how is anyone else supposed to figure that out unless they are as thorough as my DH?  I asked the women at the Knitters and Natters get togethers and most of them said either their safe did not work or it was missing from their closet cupboard.  One or two said they had working safes.

On June 29 friends of ours boarded the Island as we got off.  She told me the safe in their cabin works so it's a flip of the coin whether or not you will have a working safe.  If they've been replacing the safes I haven't heard about it.

We had to come up with a combination with the few numbers that worked as well.

Sorry you were ill.  We got back 5/26 - still no response yet even after emails to the executives....credit card paid a long time ago, but not a good process.

After numerous calls to Princess, and then emails to executives (and then again when emails were updated), I received a follow-phone call from Princess Customer Relations last night and then received a copy of my folio from the cruise ending on 5/26 this morning.  Probably the emails to Carla Ramos and customerrelations@princesscruises.com worked but even that took over a month!  Shouldn't have to be so hard.

I agree with you, that looks just terrible. Like being at a cheap restaurant where the only choice is "house wine".

I'll probably order from the Premier list and pay the difference.

In the various post I noticed that the bin number is on the left of the 'plus' offerings.  At the start of my next cruise I'll look at the full wine list and look up the 'plus' bin numbers so I'll know vineyard/country of origin for my favorite varietals, especially if my waiter can't tell me.

Is there a list anywhere as to which brands are included in each drinks package? I know that Celebrity has this.

There's also a previous thread on this - prices may have already gone up with introduction of premier but check out the thread and links in it.

Not that I've found on Princess website - but this site lists prices and if it's $12 or under it's included in Plus - with anything over $12 - the difference plus tip.  Gives one an idea, anyway

Have been on 6 cruises since January.  Have not gotten any folio either emailed or printed.

I think that they are expecting everyone to use the account section of the app to check their folio.

I check it during the cruise and on the  last day I take screen shots of it on my phone just in case I need to check details after I get home.

It would be nice (and I mentioned in post-cruise survey) to allow email or pdf option on the app.  That would have sufficed.  I checked every day except the last night and did not do a screen shot and never received a folio despite my calls/chats/emails/ from my 5/26 disembark. @ldtr you're demonstrating that the emailed folio is not to be expected despite what the patter or disembark notices said.
