  1. @PacnGoNow - chat worked - unfortunately they couldn't assist me with post-cruise excursion refund issues for which I'd already filed.  I've tried via email on customerrelations@princesscruises.com which at least got me an acknowledgment response.

    I asked an assistant cruise director on the Enchanted Princess when I saw we'd turned 'yellow' on our cruise (and after I walked passed a marked off area on deck 9) - she was open that there were a few passengers on board in isolation in balcony cabins.

    On Enchanted we were told by dining room director, the captain announced it as did the captain.  Last cruise and the one we're on have just over 1800 passengers and around 1330 crew.  Full crew.  Normal Xmas cruise would have 4000 passengers.  Princess is limiting.  All the crew are thrilled to be working and service is amazing.

    Now I can direct all - instead of just the majority - of my worries to getting the Covid testing on New Years Eve or New Years Day 😐 .  That is bad timing that didn't occur to me when we made the last minute booking but I plan to be on the CVS and Walgreens sites the day they open up (CVS should be any day now; Walgreens at the end of the week) and I have received the approved proctored at-home test as Plan C. 

     

     

    I (also in FL) made reservations for rt-pcr in cvs about 2 weeks in advance.  It took us about 5 minutes to do the test and less than 2 hours to get the results.  I think the people who are saying their cvs appointments got canceled possibly hit the links on 'cancel appointment' - you will get reminder texts and emails over and over again up until you go to your appointment and the link is not to confirm but to cancel.

    Can't guarantee that all will be fine for you - but I received the same messages for ours and then suddenly it was going to be delivered the next day.  Good luck.  But if you don't receive the medallions, as long as you do everything on the app to be 'green lane', you'll be issued medallions at the port.

I can't remember from my last cruise in 2019 whether I was able to go to the stateroom immediately.  We're on group A, 11:30.  I recall from some past cruises (perhaps a long time ago 😉 ) waiting on deck with our carry on small bags, grabbing a bite to eat while waiting for our stateroom to be ready.....

     

    Luggage delivery is another story - not asking about that.

    PS. I have had success today using the App!  So wanted to go ahead and pre purchase - we are Elite so I understand we will get 50% OBC of the cost.

    We're elite as well  - purchased a single 4-device plan.  Only one plan necessary for the two of you - unless you're going to have 8 devices all signed in at the same time 😉  We each have a phone and tablet, but will also be using a laptop as needed.

I plan to try on the Enchanted Princess - I checked out youtube videos on how to access hdmi (or other inputs) at hotels without input on the remotes.  All said that if you find the part of the monitor that gets the remote signal (usually has a light), then at the back of it will find a tiny button or joystick that lets one cycle through inputs and get to the hdmi port and back to tv as needed.

    Santorini doesn't show up in app for reservations - only capri and amalfi - so just wondered what Santorini was used for looking at deck plans.  Articles before the ship was launched described it as one of 3 main dining rooms.  I'll find out soon enough when we're aboard in about a week 😉

    All is well - now says it's arrived at USPS - so I assume I'll see the medallions in a few days.

I received an email saying that my medallions were shipped on 11/30 - however they have been in limbo with this message.  So I guess if they don't arrive we'll have to get some at the port.  From everything I've read - with green lane on medallionclass ap and all completed, should not be a boarding issue.  We're on a 12/20 cruise so less than two weeks now..

    I recently purchased an inexpensive USB hub, which I can plug up to 4 or 5 USB devices into, but only uses one regular electrical outlet.  It's not a surge protector, so it's allowed. Also, they don't take up much room at all, which is much better than a power strip.  Just an idea.

    I did the same for my last cruise - ship legal and I plan to bring along again.
