  1. Ok so video won’t load. Sigh. In any event our horse #2 won. Bet was $2 and won $13. Now off to our Terrazza Steakroom special Brunch!
  2. Pool is a sloshing! Here is a brief video of sloshing pool and fog horn. Well if it will load. I’m standing by the horse race and having to actively balance.
  3. Woke up to white out fog (which I expected since K had heard the fog horn multiple times already. I felt badly for the upper rooms due to fog horn noise—not so bad on Deck 5 but very loud up here on the Lido. Also woke up to rain. Husband had cabin fever. We are up on the Lifo betting on the horse race—it is Throwback Day.
  4. There are some pics in the thread above—will add more later. So far only YT video on cabins is the Terrazza Cabana—but the room itself is the same as the balcony cabins except for a little decor.
  5. So now I”ve met everyone who has Cruise Critic Live Blogged this journey except you! We need to meet and look at cat pics or something!
  6. I use my AAA card. Bring it specifically for that purpose!
  7. Why yes, yes I could! 😂 But nope…I’m a little crazy all out there in public, but I respect St. Greg’s desire for privacy. Sometimes when I do something stupid (or drunk…or awkward ) on board, I think OH NO its going to be all over social media tomorrow!
  8. Thank you for joining us! We were really nervous about it, since it was our first YT live. I think you have to have a YouTube log in to post a chat message. Internet is great; so happy with it, but would give anything for 2 devices to be on one paid internet plan. You sail soon; I’m excited to hear how the first sailings out of NYC go. And let me know here if you still have any unanswered questions!
  9. No, these were not provided; I haven’t seen these for quite some time. There were very clear maps at all the elevators, and I used those and the app.
  10. Ahhh! Was very nice to meet you!! And now I know what you look like! Your secret is safe with me!
  11. If we did not have to be somewhere I would have sent it back. DH likes it that way so I knew it wouldn’t! kill me, but chefs//waiters need to learn the difference between rare and medium rare ASAP!
  12. We were up on Lido for the Italian Festival and the Fog Horn was regularly blaring—looked out window and it was all white again. Was that you I met at the elevator today? I know another Greg on the ship from online and thought that’s who I met, but then at dinner I was like—WAIT—was that Saint Greg earlier? I’m a little slow on the uptake sometimes!
  13. Rest of meal—braised rabbit in puff pastry extra yummy, soup was nice, dessert very similar to last nights and no rum taste
  14. The siren song of Deal or No Deal has called. We have avoided Bingo though. also a photo of the rare roast beef.
  15. Prime Rib in MDR tonight and it wasn’t a formal night! I did ask for Medium Rare and got “possibly able to walk off the plate” rare. They did say they would re do it but would take time and we didn’t want to wait. So I slathered on the Horseradish and went from there. Served with nice baked potato and fixings and a coiple broci sprigs
  16. It was lovely! Walk in closet, lots of closet space, bath tub, larger balcony. Eventually I’ll get the videos up, here are a few stills—evidently there are only 24 suites on the ship, so you are lucky to have it!
  17. Heading out for an early dinner so we can do Deal or No Deal and also the Italian Festival on Lido afterwards. Dinner last night was OK. Not bad or anything, but also nothing to write home about. We had the wild boar appetizers, and my husband had the carpaccio. Wild boar appetizer were tasty but not hot. No photos of the wild boar because we were hungry; it was cut in pieces with barbecue sauce. For mains, I had the Spaghetti Vongole. It had 3 clams—yep, 3. Tasted fine, was hot and spaghetti properly al dente. Russ had the Pollo Diablo—it was hot and tasty; as mentioned before, they do chicken justice on this ship and no “unidentified” chicken parts. The dessert, a shared Torta al Miele e Polenta was very nice; part of the Italian specialties, it was a no-added sugar desert and i really liked the citrus and almond flavors and consistency of the polenta base.
  18. Ok its sill overcast and chilly at 2:30pm. Only 55 F. Hands haven’t warmed up from being outside; time to go get some coffee.
  19. Here is my baby Loki at home (photo from my son who is house//pet sitting):
  20. A wise choice. Karaoke is only fun if one is participating, IMHO. Later in the evening the Latino music duo in the Carnivale lounge is quite nice.
  21. Free! And I believe it is every sea day, but I have to confirm that for you (since I found out about it yesterday!)
  22. Zora is the best! I’ve been getting most of my drinks here, but then again its just steps from my Terrazza room. As far as the Karaoke—TERRIBLE place to put it. DH and I like to relax at the bar or right outside in the late afternoon with a drink and BAM, the karaoke drives us away. Plus being a Terrazza guest, it kind of makes the back “exclusive” area non-inviting—sigh.
  23. So my brief “run up and try the Chinese Buffet” ended up in a nice odyssey. First of all there was a huge line for the buffet! Like Teatro Rosso entertainment line long. Evidently everyone just found out about it like me, OR its just popular! I got tasting size portions of the Pork Stir Fry, the Vegetables, the Shrimp Lo Mein and the Orange Chicken. Menu below. It is served to you by the servers (you don’t plate it yourself) which is nice. Line went quickly. And it was quite good! I’d love some chinese mustard or something around to spice it up a bit, but as good as my local Chinese take out! Then as I wandered back to my room, I came across the Lido all decorated for the Italian Fiesta tonight, plus the ice carving! Dolphin in 17 minutes. Quite fun. And popular. Also ran into Derek from Island Time on YT. Genuinely nice guy! Ran into Intrepid from DC a couple nights ago. He is doing fine and enjoying his cruise. Now I’m back sitting in my hammock. It’s still overcast and chilly; the fog has mostly lifted. Couldn’t sit on the loungers cause the pads were wet, wet, but the hammock is dry, so I’m cross-legged, wearing my nice warm sweat shirt, and typing this to you on my iPad. Which is why the spelling is good. When I mis-spell everything you can be sure I’m on my phone with my fat fingers and bad vision. Internet continues to be overall AMAZING. This Starlink is the best internet I’ve had on ANY ship on ANY cruise line. Ever!
