You get 1 free bottle if you are red or up. You can use the bottle in the room. There is no charge for the first one on your account. It doesn't matter where you get it from. The ones at the bar will be cold.

I'm glad you posted this since I prefer to drink my water room temperature so i'll just swipe 1 bottle from the room.

Also you need to call room service to get your "Chocolate Delight" or cookies if you don't want that.  We have received chocolate covered strawberries in the past but the last couple cruises we received an assortment of truffles and macarones.

I didn't know that was a free perk too. I already ordered a Bon Voyage vanilla cake and a medium finger sandwich tray for the stateroom so I doubt i'll have room left for a Chocolate Delight. But i'll remember this for next time.

Yes, Carnival clearly is trying not to provide this perk unless you know about it. I bet it really does save them a lot yearly though. Just a really sneaky way to go about it.

This is my thought as well and I guess after the past 2 years it's understandable. I'm just glad I asked here so I know what to do to get them.

I was specifically told by my room steward that the water of bottle in the room did not count as my free one and that I would be charged for that one.

I'll be sure to confirm it with my steward before opening the room water and if I need to use a coupon or my S&S card at the bar to redeem it, i'll just do that.

The “coupon” is loaded to your sail and sign card, and you can either take one from the cabin or go to any bar.  On my last two sailings when I went to the bar they told me to take one from the cabin.  I did, and there was no charge.  Apparently when the cabin steward puts through the charge, the “coupon” is recognized and so no charge goes onto the account.

This is good to know. I'll confirm with the cabin steward as well. It would be easier to just take one of the bottles in the room and be credited for it. I'll still have to schlep to Pixels for my pin though.

There's no casino credit for Gold. Platinum/Diamond only.

I didn't know about this. That's something nice to look forward to when I reach Platinum.

The same applies to your pin. It is no longer placed in your stateroom. You need to swing by Pixels and ask for it if you want it.

Wow. I wouldn't have known that if you didn't mention it. I love collecting the pins. I guess there's instructions for both the water and pin left in the stateroom?

    Hi @OceanZena🙂

Recent live reviews have been showing two bottles of water provided in the stateroom.

I'm sailing solo this Friday so i'm only expecting 1 bottle in the room, but 2 would be a nice surprise. If it's not there, i'll look out for any coupons to redeem. Thanks.

We went to their casino a few years ago when it first opened.  We took the bus (no. 10?).

It is a beautiful property, but we did not eat there.  It's supposed to be very expensive.

Incidentally, we did well at their casino.😀

How does the Baha Mar casino compare to the one at Atlantis? I've been to the Atlantis casino a couple of times but never the one at Baha Mar and i'm debating if it's worth visiting over returning to Atlantis for my next sailing in Feb.

If I were him, the first thing i'd do when I got released from hospital is not volunteering  for a mental evaluation, it would be to go and buy a Powerball ticket. This guy is one lucky dude.

He'll need the winnings to pay for his search and rescue. Doesn't it cost something crazy like $100k+ and would his travel insurance cover it if he has any?

The ability to use OBC for pre-boarding purchases is relatively new.  Indeed, it was not like that before.  But I think the glut of OBC caused Carnival to change their policies because too many people complained they couldn't easily spend it all onboard, or were "laundering" it through the casino.

Can you still pull OBC as cash from the slots? I usually gamble it all away anyway, but hope they haven't stopped the ability to withdraw it if you prefer to have the cash.

  10. Thanks for posting this info. I had no idea it came back and just went and bought it for my Feb sailing and was able to purchase it with the onboard credit given at time of booking. I don't remember being able to do this in the past, but I was able to buy a bunch of stuff like the wifi package, treats and drinks for the room and now FTTF all with the $200 OBC they gave me when I booked the sailing. I always thought you couldn't use that until you were on board but very happy to discover you can use it for all this stuff!

I'm glad you got your answer.  But mostly for my satisfaction, let me try to elaborate on what's going on.

Those pretty penny video slots that have become ubiquitous over the past 25 years are mostly not available to be bet for one penny a spin.  There's a minimum number of lines required to be bet (mostly 25 to 100).  And yes, I've seen penny slots where the minimum bet is $1.  That could have been what your friends saw, but it seems that a poster here has countered it.

The more traditional reel slots, which mostly have 1 to 9 lines per spin, haven't been seen in pennies for some decades.  Even for quarters they're becoming scarce.  I wouldn't be surprised if the minimum bet size for those were $1.

As for the shows, dance club, and piano bar all being shut down... I've heard of each of those, individually, being shut down on ships on other cruise lines - mostly in the beginning of the year when Omicron was running riot.  Lately I've heard of spot shutdowns due to illness/quarantine issues and the occasional visa problem.  I think having one or the other being shut down plausible, but all of them... not plausible.  Perhaps they only looked during daylight hours, or maybe they're (making finger gesture around ear that's probably been canceled these days) showing their age.

Yes, I know those penny slots are always 50 cents to a dollar a spin or more and never actually one cent per spin. I go to Tampa Hard Rock Casino with one of them regularly and we've talked about that while playing them, so that wasn't what she was talking about.

She said all she saw was $1 and $5 machines throughout the casino and I pressed her about that saying she had to be mistaken but she swore up and down yesterday over breakfast after I picked them up....I think you are right about the age thing lol...she's 82, but sharp as a tack....(or so I thought).

I did go straight to the source yesterday because I love the low denomination slots and asked Carnival directly and they replied back to me that my friends were definitely mistaken and they do have the penny and 25 cent slots in their casinos and shows were not shut down.

I sail in February on Liberty and all these things they mentioned scared me and i'm so relieved that none of it was true.

  12. Thanks everyone for easing my mind. I don't know what the hell they were talking about....maybe they dreamt it lol. It did seem absurd to me that they'd make everything $1 and up slots, but they both insisted that's what it was in the casino. They probably had too much to drink. I'm just relieved it's not true!

  13. 23 minutes ago, mz-s said:

Well it’s not a penny per spin because you can’t just bet one penny. Maybe that’s what they’re talking about.

No they play in Tampa all the time and know the penny slots aren't actually a penny lol. They specifically said all they saw were $1 and $5 slots. I joked that maybe they stumbled into the high limit room but they said it was all through the casino...all $1 and $5 denominations.

  14. Thanks for confirming. They swore up and down this morning that they looked everywhere and couldn't find any penny, nickel or quarter slots and that everything was $1 and $5. They're not the type to lie or make up stories, so I think they had to have just overlooked them....but those denominations are everywhere so it's hard to do that which raised my concern. I love the penny and quarter slots and would hate to see them gone.

  15. I picked my friends up this morning from Liberty and both tell me that the slots in the casino are now minimum $1.00 and nothing less than that which I find incredibly hard to believe. They said all they saw were $1 and $5 slots and nothing of lower denomination. Are they blind or is this true? With the popularity of penny slots, I can't believe Carnival would take them away and that would make going to the casino less fun for me.

Both also said there were no shows all week which I also find hard to believe...and also that the dance club and piano bar was shut down all week too. I asked them what did they do all week, and they said "ate and sat on the balcony". They are up in years and i'm wondering if they were just not looking or basically out of their minds.

I can't believe Carnival would do any of these things and I did an internet search and came up with no news of any of it. Please tell me they're just blind lol.

I get it that you wouldnt get the vaccine and respect that.

Just dont get it. Why argue about it? I'm good with you not getting it. I just dont like the arguing.

Everyone is free to do as they want about their decision. It's up to you and everyone else. I'm just hoping once carnival puts out a position the arguing is done.

Tbh I dont even care why or why not. Once carnival decides then everyone can move on and comply or not. I get it you are not getting it ok? What I dont get is telling us10 times a day. You made your pt. I hear ya.

You're 100% right. Why argue about it? And thank you for respecting my decision. I appreciate that. You are also right that this whole conversation died down yesterday until people decided to come back to specifically target me in their posts and I have the right to reply back in response if I wish.

If everyone really wants this conversation to die down, then they should just stop coming into this thread and resurrecting it. I don't do that but merely reply to those who are directly quoting me and/or asking questions to me and as I stated, I have the right to give a response when directed towards me, and to try and shut me down and tell me i'm not allowed to do that is bullying.

I understand your point that you don't want to discuss this topic any further, so I politely suggest you just refrain from entering this thread. I'm not saying that rudely, but constructively, because if someone here has a question or a post directed towards me, I have no issue with replying back. If others do, then just don't enter the thread. There's a plethora of other topics here to discuss in other threads.
