  7. I currently expect the following ships to be in Europe, so likely to carry out both a WB and EB transatlantic, possibly with the exception of Allure that will likely sail empty to dry-dock. Obviously, this is always subject to change and far from confirmed though, but I will keep you updated if I see anything change. Brilliance OTS (Amsterdam) Odyssey OTS (Civitavecchia) Voyager OTS (Barcelona/Civitavecchia/Athens) Explorer OTS (Ravenna) Independence OTS (Southampton) *Maybe* Allure OTS (Barcelona/Civitavecchia)
  8. I’ve done the same! I’ve got to tick them ports off my list before I’m not able to! 😅
  9. Yes, I imagine that Oasis class might be in the region when Lelepa is open, similar to the many cruises that go to PDCC.
  10. Probably a high chance in the future, especially as Icon class continues to grow. It will take time for all ports to adopt an Oasis standard, but the latest Brisbane cruise terminal was built to handle Oasis class, so it is likely that it would homeport there. As Wonder was originally supposed to go to China, maybe they would consider doing a split deployment where an Oasis class spends 6 months in China and then 6 months in Aus.
  11. The new legislation only permits cruise ships that have zero-emissions into certain ports. However, there is currently no cruise ship that meets this standard, which means it is impossible for any line to continue Fjords cruises from Jan 2026. Check out this article for more info: https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidnikel/2023/03/16/why-norwegian-fjords-cruises-will-soon-change/amp/
  12. Just to confirm, Royal is still planning cruises to Norway in 2025, but this will likely be the last year. Brilliance is currently scheduled in some Norwegian ports throughout the summer, likely replacing Jewel in Amsterdam.
  13. Oasis looks to be staying in the caribbean for Summer 2025. In my opinion, Allure *may* get her amplification, as her last cruise currently ends on 10th Feb and a maintenance dry-dock only usually lasts around 1 month at max, so this would leave plenty of time before a potential Europe season. However, I think she will be based in Barcelona doing the usual 7-night med cruises, as I don’t think there is an Oasis class market in Southampton. As I have mentioned previously, OC could only fit into very few ports on the ex-Uk sailings, with the exception of the 14-night Mediterranean cruises. In reality, Royal just wouldn’t fill the ship if it was doing the same 2 week itinerary all season long, plus they could make quick money elsewhere.
  14. I’ve just got off Anthem this morning and NextCruise advised that they ‘expect’ Odyssey to be based in Southampton, as she is the one replacing Anthem in NY. However, Athens Port have just updated their 2025 cruise schedule, which shows multiple calls for Odyssey throughout the Summer. Also, Odyssey is now listed in Haifa port schedules for 2025. Put this with the port bookings for Indy and the fact that Odyssey is performing well from Civitavecchia, I think it is now definitely looking more concrete that Indy will be heading for the UK. 😢 I would believe port bookings before I believe NextCruise, as they often don’t have any knowledge of upcoming deployments, especially this far in advance.
  15. I have dreamed of this! BUT, it will stay a dream! Wake me up the day we get a different ship in Southampton and I’ll be on like a shot! 😂
  16. It was originally Odyssey for the following; Villefranche, France Le Havre, France Funchal, Madeira Gibraltar, UK They have since all been changed to Independence, so it looks like it’s going to be Indy now.
  17. Just from Captains Corner on Anthem about her repositioning. It looks like she is going on quite the world tour! Summer 24 - Southampton, UK Winter 24/25 - Singapore March 25 - Dry Dock Summer 25 - Alaska Winter 25/26 - Australia
  18. A strategy which seems to be all about money, money, money! 💰💰💰
  19. I believe that Icon is going straight from Turku to Cadiz, Spain, where Central Park will have its plants installed due to warmer weather. As a result, it will have to bypass Southampton as it won’t be fully ready, so I can’t see them bringing her back up when it’s much easier to go straight across the pond. Although, there could possibly be a trade event in the Med (Barcelona) like there was for Wonder pre-revenue sailings, which would allow them to show off their new toy to Europe and UK agents.
  20. I get that there will still be fans of Indy, much like how there will be loyal fans of Anthem. Although, since the Covid restart, a large percentage of passengers are ‘new to cruise’ or at least new to the brand. I can’t see people being attracted to what will be a 17 year old ship in 2025, which lacks many of the thrills that Royal are known for, especially with the likes of NCL Prima and MSC Virtuosa/Euribia being homeported here. Also, if they continue to price like 2024, but on Indy in 2025, I could see their market share going down significantly as much better deals are to be had on newer ships, like those mentioned above.
  21. Personally, I think Icon will stay in Miami and think the chances of a UK deployment are very very slim. Depending on at what point in 2025 Icon 2 is delivered, I believe it may be positioned in the med carrying out the usual 7-day cruises. This would give Royal an opportunity to showcase Icon class in Europe.
