Wonder has lots of booking in St Maarten throughout 2024 and early 2025, which all follow the same rotational pattern as we see now, while they also tie in with the latest itinerary that can currently be booked. Therefore, I think it is highly likely that Wonder will remain in PC until at least April 2025, especially with Icon taking the prime Miami spot.

Odyssey does have the cascading indoor pools in the adults-only solarium, as shown here: But it doesn’t have a family solarium/indoor pool, like Anthem. This has been replaced with another outdoor pool. See photos. Anthem: Odyssey:

Odyssey has various bookings in St Maarten throughout January 2025 and February 2025, with no mention of Anthem, unlike previous years. 9th January 2025 - Odyssey OTS 20th January 2025 - Odyssey OTS 4th February 2025 - Odyssey OTS Two of these calls are 11-days apart, which would tie in with the 11-night Southern Caribbean cruises Anthem carries out in early 2023. I think it is likely that Odyssey will replace Anthem for the full Winter 24/25 season, rather than for just a short period and carry out similar itineraries to what is currently on offer.

AquaDome Market There was a video online showing a new venue within the AquaDome, known as the AquaDome Market. This is probably going to be a solarium bistro replacement. The name makes me think we might see a concept like NCL’s Indulge Food Hall, with different stands that serve a variety of cuisines. Surfside Neighbourhood The video also showed a few venues for the Surfside Neighbourhood. There looks to be two restaurants, ‘Pier 7’ and ‘Surfside Eatery’, along with a quick-service ‘Surfside Bites’ counter and ‘The Lemon Post’ bar.

Here are the test itineraries for anyone who may be interested. This does make me question what will happen with Utopia when it is launched in Spring 2024. Usually, the newest Oasis class ship does the 7-night med itinerary, but obviously Oasis is scheduled for this due to dry-dock. Icon has already got the prime slot in Miami and Wonder in Port Canaveral, I wonder if we could see her in Europe 👀.

Remember those good old days, when we had two ships from Southampton! What a luxury that seems now! I really think they could grow the ex-UK market by having two ships once again. One designed for colder climates, like Anthem, which can offer cruises to Northern Europe and Scandinavia/Baltic, which would also serve as a replacement to Copenhagen homeport. Along with a Freedom or Voyager class for warmer climates, like France, Spain, Canaries and Med. I know this is a long shot, but one can dream! 😅

A glorified staircase by the looks of it 🙄. Surely there must be a surprise somewhere! There is a cafe and lounge behind, known as ‘Pearl Cafe’, which has views out to the sea. There are also windows at the top, looking down from Central Park.

Crown’s Edge - Description ‘Dangling high above the ocean, this fear-facing challenge is part skywalk, part ropes course, part thrill-ride and an all-out test of your courage.’ Also mentions that it is 154 foot above sea level! I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere near that! 😂

Icon of the Seas - More Renderings! Remember when I said the Icon page was removed from Royal’s Meetings and Incentives website? Well, it’s still not back, but now shows a video instead! I think Icon has some huge changes compared to Oasis class. The whole redesigned pool/sports deck has a better connection to the sea, with outward facing pools and great aft views. Also, the Royal Promenade now looks to be over 2 levels, similar to Quantum class, while still incorporating some of the most loved venues amongst their fleet. Wonder was the first ship to incorporate a suite neighbourhood, similar to ‘The Retreat’ on Celebrity, while Icon is an evolution of this and now includes ‘The Grove’ sun deck, snack bar and private pool area.
