  1. We were in Bermuda June 15-17th and used the shuttle bus as well as the taxi. We waited about 15 min for the van to fill up. The smaller the van the quicker it fills up most of the vans seem to seat around 20ish people - but there are some vans that seemed to be bigger. The day we used the taxi we had got off the ship at 8:45 and it was $32 for 3 of us to taxi to horseshoe bay. It was well worth it we got there very quickly - it was a good choice as there were few people getting off the ship at that time so we would have waited a good while for shuttle bus to fill. We used the Shuttle bus to return. There are plenty of taxis and shuttle busses at the port and at the bay to come back. We had no issues.
  2. We were on the Summit June 12-19th and this was our 3rd time on the Summit. 1) Pool band daily was Hey Mamma - they were quite god I thought. We had no issues finding a lounger on deck 11. The pool deck is deck 10 - it appeared to be more crowded. 2) We never ate at any of the surcharge restaurants. Honestly we only ate in the main dining room 1 night. We prefer the OceanView Cafe (It is not self service BTW). 3) There are a couple of stage shows by the ship singers and dancers - "LIFE" was one of the shows - I thought it was very good. There was a comedian who was very good, as well as a Female impressionist and a performer named Matt Yee ( I think) who was very funny and really got the crowd involved. They did a version of the Liars Club which was hilarious as well. 4) We had the basic internet included in our package - you seemed to have the best connectivity in your stateroom. But we only used it to do basic web surfing, no streaming or work. 5) The pastries at Cafe Al Bacio are free and very good. Spa Cafe has some healthy food options, but we did not try anything there. Ship is very clean, and the crew was excellent as always. The cruise director is very personable and very good. We have never had a bad experience on the Summit. Also I recommend the Movie Screen at the back of the ship, the seating is very nice - enjoyed it on every cruise. Hope that helps.
  3. Does anyone have pictures of the MDR menus from the Summit from a recent sailing? We are on a 7 day Bermuda cruise on the Summit leaving June 12th. Thanks in advance.
  4. Thats the plan, proof of submission, proof of payment not much else we can do. Fingers crossed. Hope you get your approved form soon as well.
  5. How long after applying for your Travel Auth and paying your $40 do you receive an "approved" form via email? We sail June 12th so a little over 2 weeks out and applied for and paid a week ago. We have emails with our application numbers on them and have verified that our charge card was charged the $40 per application. How close to sailing would we expect to receive our "approved" forms prior to sailing? If we don't receive them I guess we will just go to port with the proof we have that we applied. I have tried calling the 800# for the Bermuda TA and cannot get through. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
  6. Cruising out of Cape Liberty Jun 12th on Summit. We always stay in Parsippany the night before then its a 30ish min drive in to the port. Any changes/construction along I-78 and exit 14A to be aware of? Last time we did this in 2019 I think we stayed left at exit 14A thru the toll booth to get to the port - does that still hold true? Thanks in advance!
  7. Have many restaurants and shops on closed post-covid due to the lack of cruise ship traffic the past 2 years? We have always enjoyed spending time in Hamilton and the Dockyard on past visits to grab a drink, eat and do a little shopping. I saw the glass works had closed, any others? Thanks in advance.
  8. Has a ferry schedule been posted yet for 2022? Was interested in cost and schedule from Dockyard to Hamilton. We were last in Bermuda in 2019 and if I remember correctly we were able to pay as we needed for the ferry but I cant recall the cost ( It may have been tokens that you purchased). Any info is appreciated. I think there was also a transportation pass for the buses and the ferry for like 2 or 3 days use, but I think it was much cheaper to just pay for the ferry as we needed. Thanks in advance. We will be cruising to Bermuda June 12th on Celebrity Summit.
