  1. I am so enjoying your review, and especially ALL the pictures. That was such a neat picture of the seahorse (actually sad in one way of how people treat the beach), with all the trash they had collected from the beach to make the seahorse.
  2. Thank you for the responses to my question about the Havana, and the Panorama ship as well. I DID get my answers that I wanted to know. 🙂
  3. As I'm following along (I just posted earlier I am in the "thinking" mode of doing the Celebration with 7 other people), the name Havana has been mentioned more than one time. I that a special area for people that have PAID more, or what???
  4. I am starting to follow along like some of the other posters here. I am in the "thinking" mode of doing the Celebration or the Panorama in February next year with about 7 other family members. This will give me an IDEA of what the Celebration is all about. 🙂
  5. I will say in regard to some of your comments of NOT paying a fee to the TA I have had for several years, I do agree. When I started out with the company they were NOT charging a fee for each person they were booking, but some way or another they are doing that now. I DID take the plunge and called Carnival about getting PVP, and spoke to her, and got the information I need at this point (still have to check with the other 7 as well), so when we're ready, I can call her directly.
  6. I just made the phone call today of getting a PVP, and talked with her, and told her once I got ALL of my ducks in a row (getting the other 7 people to go along with this as well), than I would call her.
  7. Thank you EVERYONE for your replies to my question. I have used a TA here in KC where I live and have not had a problem, and then a few years ago I had a PVP with Carnival, and she was very good, and I believe in the long run, she was a little cheaper than the TA. I know the TA here in KC is good, but they do charge $35 per person's booking. I did received an email from someone that may have seen my name when I posted, and that is how they got my email address. I think they were a PCVP as well. I did note that on their email there as a "highlighted" area that said, Caution: This email originated from outside of the organization. I guess what I'm trying to say is I want to find someone I can trust, and STILL save money too.
  8. Thank you EVERYONE for giving me an idea of how you go about booking your cruise. Yes I have used a TA with our local company here in KC, which has been here for years. I have never had a problem with them, but even when I booked a Carnival cruise a few years ago, I wound up with a PCVP, and she was very good too, and I believe she helped me save a little more money than what the TA here in KC would have done, as for each person they book, they get $35. I did hear from someone from Princess (may have seen my question and that is how they got my email address), and gave me a quote on a ship that I had ask about. I did noticed there was an area "highlighted" and said: Caution: This email originated from outside of the organization. I'm thinking the man was a PCVP and did give me his phone number, etc.
  9. You may have seen me asking this question in another cruise line, but I'm asking here as well. If you have booked a Princess cruise within this last year, did you use an agent that you knew, booked it on line, or called and got a personal Princess agent?
  10. You may see me posting more than one question in a couple cruise sights, and I have another question here. Within the past year when booking a Carnival cruise, did you use an agent that you knew, booked it on line, or called and got a personal Carnival agent?
  11. CruzinSusan70, I just seen another posting by you. You mentioned about not doing the Jubilee because of Jubilee's embarkation area. I know the Jubilee has not come out as yet, and I DID think about it, but I remember years ago we went on another cruise line and it was a brand NEW ship, and I could not believe all the BAD that we found, as well as many people complaining not only on the ship, but even on our flight home, so I think until it has cruised a while, I probably will be staying away.
  12. CrusinSusan70, you have responded to my question before. I see that you have done the Carnival Celebration. I know this is just YOUR opinion, was there anything in particular that you didn't like about this ship, and I understand it is a pretty large ship (people) as well.
  13. Steeles36, NO formal nights is NOT my only reason I LIKE to cruise, but that is one "option" I like to know about!
  14. Topnole, thank you. I have cruised several lines in my over 15 cruises, but never that one, so I may checked that one out as well.
  15. Once again, thank you for your replies!
  16. To each of you who has replied back to my question, thank you! Yes firefly333, I did post this question on more than one sight, as I DO cruise on more than one cruise line as well. From those of you who posted here, I get your feedback of how RCCL is doing now.
  17. Thank you ALL for your responses to my question. In regard to someone who mentioned that they had "already" answered me, that was only in regard to one or two ships, not the "whole" cruise line of HA, which I was asking about.
  18. Thanks to a couple of you that "responded" to my actual question about "Carnival" ships. In response to one of your comments, no "pops" does not mention this, as he is a home body, so it is just my 3 sons/wives and friend, and as I mentioned I do NOT ask my sons to dress up for formal night, they just enjoy making mom happy and looking exceptional nice. Obstructedview2, I appreciate your input too. Now that I have read your responses, I can start 'looking" at Carnival ships as well for our cruise next year. 🙂
  19. Oh my, thank you ALL for your wonderful compliments, as this is what I wanted to read, but I will have gone with the flow, if there wasn't formal nights/dress up nights as well. Actually one of my 3 sons was visiting with me last night (I had seen the other two earlier in the day as it was Mother's Day) and we were talking about all 8 of us cruising, and I mentioned I had ASK about formal nights and that my 3 sons didn't have to do it. He said, "mom we love doing it, as it makes YOU happy!" Someone mentioned that I had ask this same question all over the board, and yes I did, especially with the cruise lines I have done for my 15 or more cruises, as we are trying to decide which cruise line/ship we are doing next year.
  20. I know things have changed over these past few years. If you have cruised on RCCL within this past year, did your ship still have formal nights? If RCCL no longer has formal nights, would you tell me the name of these ships?
  21. I know things have changed over these past few years. If you have cruised within the past year on one of Princess ships, do they still have formal nights? If not, would you tell me what ships on Princess that no longer do this?
  22. I know many things have changed for cruising over these past few years. If you have cruised within the past year on one of HA ships, do they still have formal nights? If not, would you tell me the name of the ships that don't?
  23. I know many things have changed over these past few years. If you have cruised within this past year does Carnival ships still have formal nights, or are there some Carnival ships where they have done away with formal night, and if so, what are the name of the ships?
  24. To those of you who replied to my question, thank you as I was wondering if Princess had done away with formal nights all together, or just on the Sky, but you answered my question here.
  25. Yes I would prefer the "up to date," but it looks like some of the things I did over my 15 cruises or more, or starting to decline, and that is a disappointment to me, but maybe not to others.
