Yes you are right about the luggage taking quite a bit of room in the MDR, especially if we cannot get into our room, until after we eat.

I agree, do NOT cancel the other person ahead of time. I knew if my friend was not able to go (thankfully I found another friend at the last minute 🙂 ), my PVP told me I would lose at least $500 or more.

I'm enjoying reading your review, along with pictures, and hope to continue along for the rest of your trip. I'm still trying to get all the information on the Regal I can for the 8 of us, who plan to cruise in February. So you are from Salina, Kansas, my grandparents lived in Ottawa, Kansas. We live in K.C. (Gladstone), Missouri not far from the airport, which comes in handy at times. I was sorry to read that quite a bit of your itinerary had been changed because of the weather conditions, but I understand the captains report, as he wants to keep his people safe. My son and wife (they are going with the rest of us) did some searching a few months go in Roatan, Honduras. I'm hoping we will be able to do that, as he was talking with someone who is to take the 8 of us around, where ever we want to go for a reasonable price for the whole day. I knew I had been to Mahogany Bay which is nice, but when he told me of "other" things that he wanted me and others to see, I was all for it. My friend who will be in the room with me, this is her FIRST cruise, so she is getting excited, and I hope she is not disappointed, but knowing her, she will be happy with anything as long as we are all together. 🙂

I believe I may have posted something like this, but my son/d-i-l just got back from some of this area. Since they knew less than a month we would be in some of this area, they decided to check some things out and see what they could find. My son did say he talked with someone ahead of time and they exchanged phone numbers, and for a reasonable price, this driver will be our driver all day for the 8 of us, which will really come in handy.

OK, guess we'll just have to WAIT and see what time we get on the ship, and it it is after that time, we'll just have to LOOK for another place. 🙂 I was just looking forward to checking out one of their dining rooms for the first time, but it may not happen.

All I can say is this ALMOST happened to me, but I was able to make a BIG change. I was counting on my friend to go with me, but to make the long story short a few months ago she got sick and kept getting worse, and she just found out she has leukemia, and had to start treatments, so she couldn't go. I knew I would be fine with the room (I had paid for all of it), and I do have a Princess CVP, so I contacted her as soon as I knew my friend was not able to go, and what would the options be (losing money or etc.), or what if I could get someone else to go in her place. My CVP told me that I would probably lose about $500, but if I could find someone to take her place, she didn't think there would be any charge for changing the names, and thank God I was able to get someone to go, and her name was put in the place of my friends. Now I don't know if you booked the room on line, or if you have a CVP, but I will say she has really been a blessing when trying to book for the 8 of us.

I will have over $100 OBC when I get on the ship. I really don't know what I will be purchasing, since most everything I will want I will be getting with the Premier Package. If I didn't use any of the $100 OBC, do they apply that to my bill at the end, to subtract what I owe?

Yes I believe the 8 of us would really like going to the MDR (which ever one, although the Concerto is in the middle of the ship on deck 6) on our first day on the ship, instead of the buffet, which we can do any time. My only reservation is, will we be on the ship before it closes at 1:30. I guess if we are not, then we will have to go to the buffet or Allegros, or some place else.

The reason I am asking about "two" people is that we have separate accounts, even though we are in the same room. I guess???, if the medallion recognizes my friends medallion first, instead of mine, then does that mean she will be the winner, or is the prize "IF" there is one, split between the two accounts?

I'm not for sure, and that is why I am asking. I know in the many cruises that I have done in the past, when we first get on the ship and go eat, we go to the buffet area. I thought I read some place that instead of doing this, we were to go to the Concerto Dining Room. If you know one way or another, please let me know.

OK, so my friend and I are rooming together in the room, and have separate accounts. If there is a prize, does the prize go to the one that recognized our medallion first? I know if we went in "individually", it would just recognized just one of us, right? Someone also mentioned about looking for a P on the door, what is that in reference to?

If I do the Princess Premier package, will that help me get a better seat, or make sure I get a seat in the Princess Live Theater? I know is is smaller than the larger theater, and there will be some things going on there that I want to make sure I see.

Hello, I just happened to see that you are starting a review, and I hope to be following along. Did I see you are from Kansas? Where about? The 8 of us are to do the Regal (first time) on the 25th of February. I had just read recently that it was chilly there in Galveston as well, but I'm sure it is NOT as bad as here in Missouri (I call it MISERY 😞 ), as we still have at least 1 or 2" of snow on the ground, and still quite a bit of ICE 😞 on our long driveway. I was glad someone had mentioned about the pillows, as I had just read that you could ask for another type of pillow as well. I am going to think POSITIVE about our trip that everything will be fine, and if there is a kink in the road, will just go with the flow. 🙂

Well my curiosity is up. 🙂 The reason I say this, I "watched" the Love Boat TV show, but we are getting ready to do the Regal Princess next month, and for some unknown reason, they seem to say THIS ship had something to do with the TV show or something like that. If any of you who have been posting here know, I sure would like to know, how the Regal is connected to the TV series?

I also called and left a message on her extension to let her know I had sent an email with the new information. I will give it till tomorrow, and if I don't hear back, then I'll just check (as was suggested) and see if she is on vacation, and if someone else is filling in for her. She has been very helpful for the 8 of us, and as this is winding down, I want to make sure everything else goes right as well.

To make the long story short, a dear friend was to cruise with me (February 25th) and my PVP had her information all put in, as being in my room with me. She has been sick for several months, and is not able to go, so I just found someone to replace her in the room with me. I "notified" (eamil and phone call message) my PVP on Friday. If you have gone through something like this before, how long should I wait before contacting my PVP again?

I may be wrong, but I was thinking The Sanctuary was for "adults" only. If this is the case, is there any type of charge to use that area?

Actually I have NO clue how far we would walk, but thanks for filling me in on this.
