Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We are going on the West Indies Explorer cruise next winter and our documents say you need a US passport, but just wonder if Canadian is also excepted without an visa required to enter any of the islands?
  2. Last May we went from Bergen to Stockholm and we were on the starboard side, cabins with the odd numbers. We like that side because it was usually the side we docked on and my husband liked to watch them dock. I liked to watch the groups coming and going.
  3. Thank you very much CurlerRob. My husband was able to get insurance through ManuLife. You saved the vacation.
  4. My husband’s doctor just decease his blood pressure meds which my husband thought wouldn’t be a problem but it is with our insurer. Does anyone know of any insurance that will cover you if your meds change less than 3 months before your trip?
  5. Thanks. I know I asked on Viking cruise and they brought a kettle to our cabin and teabags.
  6. Do they also have kettles available? I am a tea drinker.
  7. We prefer a door too. I like to be able to sit on the sofa and look out the window when the weather is not warm enough to sit outside.
  8. We are looking to book a cruise around Japan in 2025. I see that Regent has several cruises that include Japan. I would like to hear from people who have done one of the Regent Cruises in Japan, about which cruise itinerary they chose, why and would they recommend it. Thanks
  9. We have gotten our own wine as well, especially if we are going to eat in the world cafe. I’ll get a table and my husband gets the wine from the bar. Then we can relax and have a drink before taking turns getting our food. No need to wait for the wine menu and service.
  10. My husband wore nice black Sketcher running shoes with his black slacks to dinner and no one said anything.
  11. Were the Guaguins’ talks in English or French or both? Perhaps if they were only in English, the French could not understand.
  12. We did the Homeland cruise this past May. it was cool and sometimes rainy in western Norway but the rest of the time it was pretty warm. No coat required.
  13. Ok, thanks. I will check to see if I can get a direct flight to Miami and then that AA flight.
