  1. I have NCL cruises booked through 2025 and they are all at reasonable prices. I book early and often. By booking early, I don't have to "worry" about noise like the DSC going up (again). I also have the promos locked in. I really don't understand what the fuss is about. If another cruise line offers a better value for you, then book it now! 😎
  2. That sounds reasonable. Once you catch your Uber, it will be about a half hour to the airport. I never really timed it, but it’s not a long ride. They’ll drop you right at your terminal and, unlike the NCL shuttle, you won’t have to make multiple stops and wait while luggage is pulled by the driver.
  3. If you can’t find the pedestrian bridge, you’re still on the drink package. It’s that huge thing going over the road right where you exit the terminal. At least two elevators about 20 paces South (I have no idea how far that is, but you could easily crawl to it even if the drinks were recently flowing). Elevator to the top. Don’t cross the street and take that elevator or you’ll find yourself trying to find the way out of a parking garage. Walk a couple hundred feet due East and you’re in peace land ready to call your Uber/Lyft. I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes. Have fun!!
  4. Yeah, I only suggested that the bird should already know, as she weighs in on most of these threads to tell horror stories about Alaskan Way.
  5. I’ve posted it several times, and you should already know the answer. Has nothing to do with Alaska Way. Take the pedestrian bridge to Elliott avenue. Most calm Uber/Lyft ever. Do you really not remember this??🤣
  6. You won’t have this problem if you do it right.
  7. According to my math, it's at least 7:20 before you even order desert. Are you talking about the 7 o'clock show the following day?
  8. Plan? Yes. Commit? No. I routinely book a bunch of 5:30 slots as a standby for nights when there are shows I want to see at 7:00. If I change my mind, I just cancel. No commitment.
  9. Which cruise were you on where all the bars were closed in a US port?
  10. Yeah, I got that. It's just a stupid idea that doesn't work.🤣
  11. I believe that there were, but I really don't pay much attention to that stuff (I do shower every day, before anybody asks🤣). Just curious. Why would that matter?
  12. If you already know you have Covid, and are not experiencing any bad symptoms, why go to the doctor?
  13. A fine example of Government stupidity. Why? Does some bureaucrat who has never set foot on a ship in his/her life think that this will change human behavior for the better? "Oh darn, I would have to walk 100 feet now to get my free drink. I guess I'll drink less and/or leave the ship and spend money (i.e. pay taxes)." If I have to walk further for my free drink, then I'm getting two to make it worth the "effort." 🤣
  14. I play it safe and just grab a double Vodka neat before heading back to the room. That will kill the germs just fine. It's around 40% alcohol, which seems to do the job. Of course, what do I do with the leftover?? (disclaimer: that's never really been a problem)
  15. Why are you trying to buy two packages that don't provide what you want?
  16. We sailed her on a ten day in late July. It all depends what you are looking for. It had the best entertainment I've ever had on an NCL ship. I don't really want the big shows, just quality performers in the various lounge venues. We also had the nicest inside cabins we've ever had. Crew was great. Drawbacks would be a) very small buffet (food selection, not seating), b) Sports bar is no substitute for The Local on larger ships and c) no Brewhouse. The OL was fantastic, quiet and relaxing. All that said, I much prefer the Bliss or Encore (not so much the 2024 version of Joy). I've yet to sail on the Prima.
  17. I've sailed inside, balcony and aft balcony on numerous NCL ships. I've never seen a robe (nor have I missed them).
  18. Uber has 6 passenger vans? Why not just divide up into reasonable size groups?
  19. Because you can't swing a cat without hitting one. Seriously, I've used Uber and Lyft many times to/from the Port in Seattle and the average wait time is under five minutes. Have you used Uber or Lyft before in a metropolitan area?
  20. You do not need to book an Uber in Seattle.
  21. Same here. I don't buy at booking, but tend to buy at final payment. Some policies have a very favorable 60 day look back for pre-existing conditions. I consider that very "safe" for most of the health chapters of my life. If I was in stormy times, I would either just cancel the cruise prior to final payment or risk losing the base fare (which is usually pretty modest for this steerage sailor).
