  1. I've sailed three times this year in steerage and received luggage tags in the mail each time. I guess NCL likes me more than others.😎
  2. Thanks @complawyer. I've been mostly lurking lately. Busy with a lot of "life."
  3. I haven't heard of this. What did the sticker look like? What was it used for?
  4. I think it's the same stick-in-the-muds who don't like birthdays. 🤣
  5. It is obvious from reports here on the forum that most people have never had a problem. That said, it is good to hear if/when there are problems so we don't all just assume that it is perfect.
  6. We just used that service earlier this month. It worked great. We checked the bags and then walked down to the area with the aquarium/wheel/harbor tours/etc. Good way to spend a few hours if you have a late flight.
  7. Thank you for sharing that. We've had at least one other report of the service not working.
  8. Booking date and final payment date are usually two different dates.
  9. That's a great list friend. Subract: and add slippers and sweats, and we're on the same page. I can always tell folks that the sweats are for my morning power workout!
  10. I can only speak from personal experience, and the answer is "none."
  11. I just got off the Sun. I drank wine, coffee, water and soft drinks and didn't have to upgrade anything I have no idea when my cabin was ready and really didn't care. I was on the ship eating, drinking and having fun. I had some of the most amazing entertainment I have ever had on a cruise ship. My nights were over booked with excellent shows/musicians (Matthew, Ed Kelley, Nico Duo, Rock you tonight, and several others that I just didn't have time for. We headed out for breakfast/bloody Mary's every morning around 7 or 8 and the cabin was always ready when we came back. Never interfered with those valuable 1:00 PM naps. If they keep doing what they were doing in July on the Sun, I'll be a happy sailor. 😎
  12. Thanks friend!! I was blissfully distracted by ten fantastic days on the Sun (photo in "another place") 🤣 More recently distracted by some of that "life" stuff, but the Chief is alive and kicking! 😎 It's hard to keep a good 🐀down. Some very memorable moments on the Sun. Nicos Duo became good friends with the Chief, and even sang him happy birthday (not something I thrive on, but it came from a good place). Best performance was "holding back the years" by Simply Red. They absolutely nailed it. Nicolas actually spotted me on the streets of Seattle after disembark and gave me a nice shout out. Fun times. Matthew played me "wish you were here" about four times. It was a standing order and every time he spotted me in the audience, it was one of his next songs. Great guitar players do NOT require any arm twisting to play a fantastic David Gillmore song, and "wish you were here" has developed a special meaning for us friends of Marty. Ed Kelley was fantastic on the piano. A great guy from the great white north (like yourself) who knows a lot of great songs and can play the heck out of a piano. He played me Bach. He played me Cat Stevens. He played me Harry Chapin. He played me Ray Charles as an "inside joke" as his final song of the cruise. I'll fill you in sometime! I actually struggled (good thing) to figure out which of those three I was going to attend every evening. A fabulous cruise, and the weather was even nice enough for us to see hubbard glacier (many recent cruises have been blocked by ice or fog). Nice to see you too! ETA: Ed even played Enya Orinoco Flow upon request of DW or DD (I can't remember which). It was one of those situations where it was requested one night and he came back with it the next. I really like these NCL performers and give them the proper rave reviews in the post cruise surveys. Hopefully everybody does. Orinoco Flow also has some history among the pack.
  13. It may be port specific, but I did a NCL Bliss B2B in April and never had to step off of the ship.
  14. It will vary from cruise to cruise. We did the Bliss twice in April and had a fantastic Piano player (and others) in the OL. Her name was Oana, or something like that. I look forward to listening to her again. She did great Bach, but only upon request, which i did, which she really seemed to appreciate. Talented piano players really like requests for amazing piano. 😎 I just spent ten days listening to Ed Kelly on the Sun. He also did great Bach, but only 1.5 times, as the second time the crowd was baffled/confused/etc. One dude thought that "Jesu Joy of Man's desiring" was "just a wedding song." I try, but I can only do so much. 🤣 He also did a lot of other fantastic stuff, as did Matthew and the Nicos duo.
  15. Very true friend. Btw: I’m on the Sun right now and our friend Zandy was at the Great Outdoors bar yesterday. She asked if I had been on the Bliss before I realized it was her. Fun times!!
  16. Bingo!! I’m not really sure what the point is here.
  17. You're funny friend. Someday I'll meet you and fill you in. Until then, let's just say that the Chief continues skating away (on very thin ice at times). Feel free to reach out to me (see my sig). 😎
  18. Why is that a "fine balance?" It just sounds like smart booking to me.
  19. What if being warm and having the same views is what a passenger wants?
  20. 🤣The Chief was on a well earned "holiday." ('nuff said about that 😎)
  21. Yep. It varies. Overall, it seems like the Encore almost always goes to Glacier Bay while the Bliss is more of a mixture.
  22. Yeah, me too. Much as we would like to give you "credit," my guess is that it was the idea of some bean counter in accounting who doesn't understand how folks enjoy a cruise.
  23. We have, but I don't recommend it. We took that brewery tour, which was all indoors. It was fun and basically all you can drink free samples. Unfortunately, it didn't get us back on the ship until about 11:00 pm, which was too late for my tastes. This April, we just stayed on the ship in Victoria both times.
