  1. Yep. It kind of deflates the "OMG, out of control!!" reactions. I guess maybe the answer to the original question is now obviously "no."
  2. Yeah, maybe. I haven't paid anything for specialty dining for years. The FAS and Platinum+ benefits are enough for me. I guess I pay a few pennies for gratuities, but that doesn't motivate me to chew on a cold hunk of steak in the middle of the night.
  3. That was real nice of you!! Do you wind up talking to different people? My contact list has some other number (800-327-7030). Have I been calling the wrong people all of this time? They still answer promptly and do what I need them to.😎
  4. Why would an exalted Platinum even consider sailing with a lowly Gold? 🤣 (jk: both DW and I are now Platinum or above, and we sailed with DD even when she was bronze. Surprisingly, it was all still the same amount of fun)
  5. Is this the one? Price per person, $679 in Oceanview. $1687 after FAS gratuities but before taxes and fees? Are you certain that yours was $1500 PER PERSON? 7-DAY ON NORWEGIAN BREAKAWAY Caribbean: Harvest Caye, Cozumel & RoatanfromNew Orleans, Louisiana 1. NUMBER OF GUESTS & DATES 2 Guests Feb 25 — Mar 3 2024
  6. I have a hard time understanding the concept of eating leftovers on a cruise. Am I alone here?
  7. I've been around. Sometimes, I have to go on Holiday for a few weeks.... 😎 Love you brother!
  8. I've been "frowned" upon for many things, but I've never to the best of my recollection been one of the grammer (sic) police.🤣
  9. Is that different than the normal NCL reservations number?
  10. Yeah. I like to encourage folks to at least consider Uber/Lyft because they have worked great for me. I am NOT an early adopter of anything. Late to get a PC in my home. Late to get a smart phone. I finally just "forced" myself to try both Uber and Lyft on a Seattle cruise and I've been hooked ever since. They sure beat those shared airport shuttles or NCL transfer busses. That said, if somebody is in a hurry to get to an airport from MCT, then good ol' NYC cab driver is the only game in town. I had my first experience getting off the Joy last October and it was Mr. Toad's wild ride! Really nice driver. Got us to LaGuardia mid-morning in what had to be close to record time. Only one life was lost (a too-slow pigeon in the street).
  11. Yes. Mine is several months after yours and there are 60 excursions listed.
  12. You just need to order an XL. Those are always big enough for three adults with luggage. If you have "lots of luggage," then you may need to consider something else (perhaps taking less luggage next time). Have you used Uber or Lyft?
  13. Yeah, I hate the NCL transfer from port to airport. We've waited around for over an hour in different lines and then at the airport you stop at each terminal and, if the first is not your airline, wait some more. Folks need to wake up and join the Uber/Lyft world. It's a nicer world. 😎
  14. Perhaps if you told us what "KPIs" were, it would make more sense to us.
  15. Yep. The rumors of NCL putting the screws to their guests (again) were apparently greatly exaggerated. Imagine my surprise.
  16. Why are they stubborn? Can't they decide where they want to eat? If I were traveling in a large group, I would likely look for opportunities to get away from the group.
  17. Did you see a credit on your final invoice?
  18. Next time, take the overhead pedestrian bridge to Elliott Ave and call an Uber. Absolutely the easiest debarkation anywhere. No crowds. No traffic. No wait. For our next AK cruise, I'm going to reverse the process for embarkation. The trains can't even screw this up.
  19. Who posted that the buffet was only open two hours for breakfast?
  20. Following along good friend. Wishing a wonderful time for both you and your great father (I look forward to greeting you both face-to-face one day)!🐀
  21. Thanks for that. I can't spend time in the sun. I really don't miss it, but understand that others do enjoy it. I would recommend they review this with their PCP at their earliest convenience.
  22. Thanks. There are many who for medical reasons (either past history, or just being educated) avoid significant amounts of sunshine. I would suggest that those who find great enjoyment in being baked by the sun should probably just go and lay on a beach somewhere. Does that other poster really think that this is what cruising is all about?
