  1. It makes absolutely no difference how it is assigned.
  2. There is a very well accepted saying on that major investing forum. "Once you know enough to select a good financial advisor, you no longer need them" This is VERY true.
  3. I don't tip the Concierge or Butler a dime!! I do tip the Steward if the service is good. Not as much as others do (or claim to do), but I don't stiff them. I do tip the persons who prepare and bring me drinks, because they make me happy and I want them to be happy too.😎
  4. If you book early, you can book an inside that doesn't have pullman beds hanging off the wall. Otherwise, just have the steward separate the beds.
  5. Fortunately, a Guinness is still a Guinness, and they were at almost every bar on the 16 day itinerary I disembarked last week. 😎 A few ran out temporarily, but I may have had something to do with that.... No worries, I just ordered a Blue Moon.🐀
  6. Works for me! Of course, I'm in the minority who couldn't care less if they want to retake my photo. I'm about to get on a cruise ship! Ain't nothin bringing me down.😎 Perhaps the problem occurs most with those who don't drink?
  7. Yeah, I'm just not seeing it either.
  8. Like many, I have never smoked but grew up in a house with a parent who smoked. The smell has never really bothered me. In fact, on my last cruise I spent some time in the enclosed "smokers" casino room, to play a slot machine that was only there. Most of the time, nobody was smoking in there. There was one guy who came in occasionally to smoke but not gamble (yes, that's against the rules, but since I was gambling without smoking we had an offset 🤣). I'm not a believer in the hazards of occasional secondhand smoke. I'm sure it is more dangerous than bubbles on my balcony, but we're splitting hairs.
  9. You left out the worst of all, often discussed here in the past. A balcony near people who have the nerve to blow bubbles off their balcony. According to many experts here, if one of those bubbles pops on your balcony, it will create a tremendous mess that will take hours to clean up and, even worse, an immediate safety hazard for anybody who foolishly enters that hazard zone. The horrors.😱
  10. He might have been a bit wiser if he said to "focus on how to use the money you've saved." Unfortunately, there are many, many people who think that the only thing they can use money for is to spend it on themselves. Whatever makes them "happy."😎
  11. What? I'm pretty sure than I'm one of only four or five who actually answered the question asked in the OP. Did you?
  12. At all ages, life is too short to not enjoy every minute that you can. I enjoy every minute of my cruise as long as I'm on the ship.😎
  13. The dailies from my most recent cruise don't specify a time that several bars close. They just state "until close." Since the Local generally has food 24/7, the bar may remain mostly open. Somebody else may have better info for you. Since the party starts at around 7:00 am, this old guy is usually ready for bed when the music stops. You could always stockpile a few drinks for another hour or two. Most of the ship never really closes. Pro-tip: Last week, the night before the cruise ended, we ordered a few double-vodka neat's before the bar closed and had our screwdrivers at breakfast without relying on NCL's cooperation.
  14. No afternoon nap?! I guess that explains the late start in the morning....😁
  15. They sometimes go to the naughty room if you don't attach at least three tags to each bag and take more photos of it than they do at the dealer when they check my car in for service. You then have to spend half your cruise trying to get them back. Or, at least that's what I've been told.....
  16. On most cruises I've been on, there are usually one or two bars with live music until midnight. After that, the ship is pretty quiet. I'm usually in bed by midnight and up at 6:00 to get my Bloody Mary with Breakfast at 7:00. That's when a couple bars will open. It's also when an MDR opens up, which is where we tend to enjoy breakfast.
  17. Yep. It's my favorite game in the casino. No matter how many dollars I pump in, I always break even.😎
