Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. It shouldn't make a difference. He pays for the difference between the two rooms. Room 1 + Fas Tax = Money Paid. Price of Room 2 subtracted by Money Paid = Room 2 Price.
  2. I see what's going on. The question is whether the $350 was included in the difference between the two rooms. (Original Room + FAS taxes) = Amount Paid. Upgrade = Room #2 Upgrade Price Upgrade Price - Amount Paid = Total paid. From my math, it doesn't matter since if they didn't include the FAS taxes because you weren't charged for it. I'm guessing you would have paid $350 more the first time around if you were charged correctly.
  3. The admin fees are the same as deposit fees on other cruise lines when you hit Sapphire. You get it back as OBC.
  4. You save $40 if you wait until Day 2 to activate.
  5. Hi all, I know that there is way where the FAS internet minutes could be applied as credit on Day 2 if you decide to upgrade to Unlimited. Does anyone know if the CAS Ruby benefit of 400 minutes works the same way?
  6. I love the Haven experience. Every morning, my iced coffee is ready to go in my fridge. Custom snacks at the same time each day. I also love the specialty dining in-suite. Big perk is that you can order even if the specialty restaurant is full.
  7. IIRC, CSM blackjack was $10 min and 6/5. And $25 for the 8-deck 3:2.
  8. What I'm thinking is the line item on the receipt is 18% "Service Charge" that is added to the bill. I'm guessing one spa employee said this wasn't a tip and then the cruiser signed for more $$ on the tip line.
  9. This is correct. There is only one discount to use. You were not scammed.
  10. Got it. If Blackjack is your primary game, Celebrity is probably the best. Freeplay at the beginning (% based on your last trip or freeplay bonus offer) and they take off the back-end. Getting the Sky Suite includes the Retreat which will net you a free bev and internet package. 20 hours at $100 per spot on UTH netted me around 3k in free play for my subsequent trip. Free play could be used for slots or at the tables (play until it loses, not a one-time bet).
  11. What's your game? Royal and Celebrity are great but the Ultimate Texas hold'em payouts have been modified (e.g., 4-of-a-kind pays 20:1 instead of 30:1). I'm surprised you want to move from NCL. They have offered me better rooms (they gave me a Haven Owner's Suite for my next trip) and the admin fee was just added as OBC once I hit Sapphire. Royal, Virgin, Celebrity, MSC have all capped the comped rooms at a junior suite with the same play. The only thing that Celebrity does better is the free play based on your past trip. But, as a UTH player, each bet is a max pay of 5k, so there is no upside for me despite getting 3K in free play each trip.
  12. Got it. Have you used freeplay at the tables? I'm just wondering if they acted like Celebrity on the tables (freeplay chips are action until it loses).
  13. No, I mean comp money. NCL, Celebrity and Royal, and Virgin all comp charges on your bill depending on your play. Does Princess do that?
