Just completed 7 night cruise on Princess - my casino gifts and offers

we were on a VIP cruise.  We received, chocolates, strawberries dipped in chocolate, free dinner in the Italian restaurant with a bottle of wine (total value over $100), and final gift was a princess logo over the shoulder fanny pack and two coffee/water containers.  Part of VIP is free drinks from the casino bar - we did not have a drink package, so any other drinks ordered from somewhere else we would be charged.

Today is the final day of the cruise - we dock in L.A. tomorrow - we received our come back and play offer -

my husband and I both received the same offer - free inside and $250 free play up to 15 days on select Alaska, California Coast, Canada & New England, Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, Panama Canal sailings only  offer good through March 2, 2024, must book sailing within 45 days, new bookings only

my husband had 4,035 points, and I had 4,178 points,  During out time in the casino, we did not see many big winners.  yesterday a woman hit a $3,500 jackpot but told my husband that she needed to hit 3 more to break even.  The next best winner had $1,400+ the rest were a couple of hundred dollars.  We are leaving with no winnings.

offer not good enough for us to book a future cruise.  We have a certificate from a land base casino and we are going to try HAL next.

Update.

Had our final dinner tonight.  One of the other diners shared that they had over 7,000 points and their come back and play offer was a free balcony and $600 free play

between my husband and I we had over 8,000 points, but that doesn't increase our offer

We got the same offer but are having issues in trying to get everything. Our CVP has been trying to get the casino department to get their act together for 2 weeks and she shared with us that she has another client with the same issue

Memoak, If we meet on a cruise I would like to get YOUR CVP info. I have asked my CVP on two different casino offers for help and she said that she only sees my free inside cabin offers. She could transfer me to the casino call center though she said it wasn't possible to know whether it was the Philippines location. I was on the Royal Princess July 15-22 inside passage RT Seattle. I had never done a VIP offer until this one and it was called an Ultimate VIP cruise. It was "ultimate" for me! This was the first time I won 2 jackpots and my come back and sail offer is for a mini-suite,princess plus and $1500 free play. It can be up to 15 days and has to sail by February 17,2024.I finished with 11,000 points. Every day we received a gift. A magnet with my name and the cruise on it was on the door, Chocolate strawberries, bottle of Prosecco, 2 steel water bottles, a waterproof bag (like for fins and the beach),dinner for 2 at the Crown Grill w/ bottle of wine up to $60 (isn't all wine $60+ now?),drinks free in the casino, and the big gift on the first at sea day:drawing an envelope,I drew a middle offer, which gave me a choice of a roomba vacuum,a fan or $650 free play! Honestly, I saw quite a few jackpots happening on this cruise. I won my second one on the last day when they announced you needed to cash out your casino bank before we got to Victoria,BC. I knew I had less than a dollar in mine and wasn't going to stand in the long line for that! Then I decided to "charge to my room" just $40 more and won $1400! Then I cashed out 2 more tickets of 4&6 hundred more before I finally stashed it all in my safe!! It was fortunate for me that the casino was closed for that last 12 hours of the cruise or we know I probably would have lost it all! A lady told me her granddaughter bet 50 cents and won one of the $10,000 jackpots!

Money for taxes? No, I will have to ask for a win/loss record for the year. This was the 3rd of 5 Princess casino offers I am sailing in 2023.

No, I mean comp money. NCL, Celebrity and Royal, and Virgin all comp charges on your bill depending on your play. Does Princess do that?

I think just the $300 they gave me at the beginning of the cruise and the $200 deposit that was credited to my account. Then I chose the $650 freeplay because I don't need a vacuum cleaner or a fan(the other options). So actually, that means they gave me $950 for the casino and I could use that other $200 for gratuities and excursions. The offer I left the ship with for my next cruise with $1500 free play to begin is the most i have received.

Got it. Have you used freeplay at the tables? I'm just wondering if they acted like Celebrity on the tables (freeplay chips are action until it loses).

No, I haven't played the tables on Princess. I think you may get some table players replying if you make a new topic question.

The free play chips are like any other chips. You are paid in standard chips and can remove the free play chips before the next deal. You don5 have to keep them on the table.

You can pick the freeplay chips or slot credit for your casino credit comps.

I heard that VIP and Ultimate VIP cruises have their casinos full all the time. Was that also your experience roxievegas and pootsien2?

I would hate to wait for BlackJack tables to get empty as there are not many of them anyway.

May I also ask that those "points" (7000, 5000 etc.) you talk about, are they redeemable to anything tangible or they are just to measure your play level?

We have done cruises that were slot tournament cruises with money prize of $10,000 for the winner - that cruise was totally full of gamblers for the whole trip.  another cruise was $75,000 for the winner and that full of gamblers also.

any of the VIP cruises have been busy, but not as bad as the tournament cruises. this past cruise we were able to get machines whenever we went to the casino.

we do not play the tables so I don't pay attention to how busy they are.

the points are how they measure your play and that is how you get your future offers.

I am booked on a VIP casino cruise in February.  Did you know you were getting free drinks in the casino before you got on the cruise?  I've been trying to figure out if I want the Plus package and that would make a big difference.  I booked totally online through my offers without going through a casino rep so I'm not sure what is included other than $600 in free play, a dedicated host (what do they do?) and "special prizes".

I just got off a Prestige Cruise on Princess. The casino was busy. The raffle and events were at 1130 at night, which was too late for me. The commemorative gift was some spices and cutting board. The best perk was the transportation to and from cruise.  It came with a spa credit, but it wasn't enough to cover a massage, so that was a joke. So far my favorite offer I got was the 100k slot tournament. I didn't go to this year because I had this Mediterranean cruise booked and I don't particularly like Mexican Riviera.

All VIP cruises we have taken, free drinks in the Casino only - either from the server or you go to the bar and get it yourself.  They will have a special badge for you to wear while you are in the casino to get your free drinks.
