Thank you rakkor, enjoyed reading the review so far. if you get the chance could you kindly take a picture of the drinks menu in the Commodore Club? We are thinking of taking the drinks package for our cruise on QE next month but I heard some of the cocktails prices have increased, so if our favourites are now over $12 we won’t bother.

Now that Princess have brought in a bidding upgrade system will Cunard be next? Perhaps Cunard don’t need to introduce the ability to bid and upgrade as they already sell the Grills cabins quite easily looking at future bookings. Also it may cannibalise their customers willing to book the more expensive cabins from the outset?

I also wish I’d booked a balcony for our upcoming QE cruise. Lesson learnt…. book the cabin you want at the time of booking! Any idea on the cost to upgrade onboard from an inside to a balcony if available?

Is there any update on FCDs being offered onboard again or do you still have to book a specific cruise to get the OBC? Thanks

Each to their own I suppose but the quality and flavours have always been delightful (although I will say that I don’t think the lunch is as good). Certainly above that of our usual London go to steakhouses (Goodmans and Hawksmoor)…. In fact my partner prefers a visit to the Verandah over a visit to Le Gavroche!

Is this a permanent change? I hope not as the Verandah is one of our favourite parts of a Cunard cruise!
