  1. Somebody recently posted the current drinks menu but I can't see it now. Any ideas?
  2. Turns out the reminder to pay was in my spam folder 6 days ago🤣 it comes from arnact@carnivalukgroup.com
  3. A contract in UK law is simply whatever was agreed/promised - written or verbal. It doesn't have to be something entitled Contract or Ts&Cs. The brouchure is the contract if relied upon to make the decision to purchase. I agree with windsurf, extra charges have to be disclosed upfront. This is the reaon we, thankfully, do not have to put up with the sordid concept of 'resort fees' at land-based hotels.
  4. Our first ever cruise is in November. I have a few questions: - Are Cunard going to send me an email asking me to pay the balance? Nothing recieved yet, I'm 98 days away from sailing (i know I can just log in and pay but didnt want to pay before I actually need to) - we are going to Rotterdam and Bruges. Will I need an internet package in order to stay online or will normal reception/roaming work (I don't know how far offshore mobile networks can transmit)? - we are in BC. Is breakfast and lunch served in BC dining on port days as well as sea days? - what time will we be able to embark? Thanks
  5. If departure is shown as 'early evening' from Rotterdaym, what time is this approx? And if departure is shown as 'afternoon' from Zeebrugge, what time is this?
  6. Ive been looking at obstructed view. Looking at a lifeboat doesn't bother me so i think it could be a good option for us. But, is there any noise from it - im imagining (based on nothing but my imagination) it swaying in the wind and creaking or squeeking which would irritate me.
  7. Is your cruise in November? Mine is and looks like the others are too. Not sure why.
  8. I am on a 4 night QV cruise to Bruges and Rotterdam in November. I'm a bit confused about what order the ports are in. Maybe I just assumed that because it is called "Bruges and Rotterdam" they would cone in that order, but the calendar in MyCunard suggests the opposite. Or did they switch? Not sure. Anyway. The first full day is a sea day. How on earth will it take from departure time on Friday until the early hours of Sunday morning to sail the short distance from Southampton to Rotterdam (or Bruges)? What time will we be docking?
  9. Next are similarly priced and good quality. Personally I wouldn't leave it until you are in Southampton - they may not have your size in stock then what will you do?
  10. I had an email today with $30 OBC. I assumed it was $30 for the cabin until i just saw your post and happily it is indeed $30pp. I didn't recieve a second email. Is there somewhere on Cunard website you can see your OBC balance?
  11. I think it does what it says on the tin no?
  12. I have zero desire to be in a lift with children😆
  13. Serious question - ignoring the nonsence above about brainwashing - if a passenger is unvaxed but you are vaccinated, does the risk to you increase? Or is the risk wholly theirs?
  14. So, i dont really understand what that means because i havent been on a cruise ship yet (ever). So on this deck plan at Southampton, when embarking, where will I enter the Queen Victoria?
  15. Where is the passenger entrance to the ship (QV)? Im looking at the deck plans and don't see it.
  16. Does testing happen when onboard? Im curious about people who test positive and get quarantined - what are the circumstances that led to them being tested in the first place - is it only when showing symptoms or are there other testing points during a cruise?
  17. Are there any cruises to and around the Faroe Islands from the UK? I'm not looking for a cruise that calls at Torshavn on its way to Iceland, I want something with more time there. I noticed Fred Olsen had one, maybe two such cruises recently but I dont see that itinery for 2023.
  18. We intend to book and take the cruise-express bus from Zebrugge to Bruges (because it is one third of the cost of the Cunard organised bus). Maybe a silly question but we havent cruised before - how do we get from the QV to the bus outside of the port? Do you walk through the port area? Is there a shuttle bus?

    QV spa

The Cunard website is totally confused about the spa. It contradicts itself in every paragraph so i don't know what to believe: Firstly, 2-hour spa passes are available online: But they must be purchased onboard And then it turns into a day pass rather than a 2-hour pass and can be used at anytime, not only at the "desired time" indicated in the first screen shot so what's the actual situation and how much does it cost, and for what?
  20. Iceland is a very expensive country. The cheapest entry to the Blue Lagoon is about £52 pp by itself and a return coach from Reykjavik to Blue Lagoon is just under £40pp if you were doing it youself so thats £90 and of course I don't know if you had any other extras included such as food or drink. Agree £165 vs £90 seems steep if they are comparable experiences.
  21. Please can you take some photos of menus?
  22. Where can i find a BC QV room service menu?
