  1. Everyone who has taken the tour has had so swear on a stack of Bibles to not tell what goes on "behind the scenes". The Knights Templar and the Illuminati have their tentacles in everything, donchaknow...
  2. Go to Bellini Bar and have Christian serve you a drink. He's a great bartender!
  3. I have watched a Princess desk clock move one hour ahead at 1200 hours (noon) as we sailed east on the TA. It suddenly became 1300 and the hands of the clock moved forward automatically. And yes, Millennials, since we know you can't tell time on a clock with hands, they weren't digital... 😄
  4. Well, I got the confirmations last night that had $1.00 deposits for 3 2024 Australia voyages, so I guess he was not wrong.
  5. From what I've seen, the 5:30 pm dinner arrival time in the MDRs is PRIME TIME for a certain age demographic on the other end of the spectrum from children as well. 😄
  6. From FLL to the Azores, the internet wasn't too bad, but went downhill rapidly the further east we got. Once we got into the English Channel and up towards Denmark, it went to hell in a handbasket, and didn't get much better. A crew member told me that the crew also has to pay for internet and since the passengers got it free on the TA, so did the crew. That really clogged up the upload/download capacity and caused no one to have decent service. Sounds like Princess needs to talk to Elon Musk and use Starlink...
  7. I've booked six, two for summer 2023 (Northern Lights and Iceland/Greenand) and 4 in March-April 2024 for Australia/NZ. Trying to decide if I go Sydney to Hong Kong and fly home or do a trans-pac from Sydney to SF as the concluding cruise. I booked both and have over a year to decide which to do. However, unless the website's been u[dated, the 2024 cruises are not showing as $1.00 deposits, although my PVP assures me that this is not the case.
  8. Since you have to list the booking number on the form, you might have an issue with getting the SH OBC for each leg of the B2B. You might try to put an explanatory note on the form or the cover email you send. Good luck.
  9. I sent an email on June 14 for a Sept. 2 sailing. Got the credit yesterday (6/25).
  10. Given the Crown has had propulsion issues, perhaps Coleridge is more appropriate: Day after day, day after day,We stuck, nor breath nor motion; As idle as a painted shipUpon a painted ocean.Water, water, every where,And all the boards did shrink;Water, water, every where,Nor any drop to drink.
  11. When I attempted to sell life insurance over 40 years ago, I remember being told that New York had laws/regulations on all insurance that were different from almost every other state and that the big life insurance or property and casualty insurance companies had to set up a New York only subsidiaries to sell to customers in New York State. I'd guess that the cruise insurance is similar.
  12. I'm not understanding your problem. Wouldn't your sister and her husband book their own cabin? How would that impact a cabin you'd already booked for yourself, unless you're wanting to get adjoining cabins?
  13. You forgot Ford vs Ferrari, Yesterday, Marigold Hotel, and the Freddie Mercury bio-pic. Those were in heavy rotation on Enchanted in April.
  14. I had soot on the balcony in R734 on Enchanted on the April TA. The aforementioned black particles on the deck, which could be tracked into the cabin on feet. Seldom smelled exhaust fumes based on the wind and the ship's heading. I had the steward put a bathmat inside the balcony door as a place to wipe my feet, but otherwise it was a bit cool for a lot of balcony sitting during the cruise. They did hose down the balconies during turnaround day.
  15. You can also go to either a website like Kayak, Travelocity, or Expedia and get a general idea of fares and compare to the EZAir prices. I'd also look at the airlines own websites, especially if you have status with any of the major carriers across the Atlantic.
  16. I've been considering booking some Australia/NZ/Asia cruises for 2024. For a deposit of couple of bucks, I might just do it... Wall Street analysts like to see future bookings when they review the financials, right?
  17. I had been using a pair of 12x25 binoculars from Occer which I got from Amazon at cost $45. They were satisfactory, especially being only 11.75 oz so easy to carry on shore excursions. However, I've just ordered a used Nikon 10x42 from B&H Photo since I'll be doing a Panama Canal and then South America cruise at Christmas and then March and wanted to upgrade my optics without breaking the bank. The used binocs cost $157, with a retail price of around $200. After reading the reviews and testimonials, I think I'm going to like them. I'm hoping to see a lot of wildlife on these cruises so better optics was important to me.
  18. I found the sweet spot, I think. It's watch the first 5 minutes or so which is usually some banter (think the Today Show or Good Morning America) between the CD and one of his/her minions (shout out to Nikki on Enchanted!). Sometimes, they do an interview of a department head or an officer and these can be interesting. Then turn the TV off and go to breakfast when they start pushing products/services or doing pre-recorded videos of upcoming shore excursions. Anyway, while a lot on the Wake Show can be learned from other sources, you can get some entertainment from the show if you limit the amount you actually watch.
  19. The rumor on the ship was that it was Deck 9, the Dolphin deck. There was never a formal announcement that anyone was quarantined, but on certain elevators the 9th floor button was greyed out. These were mainly the aft elevators (my cabin was in the stern so I used these often). IIRC, the midships and forward elevators did stop on Deck 9. However the ship was only at about 60% capacity so there could have been other reasons for no elevators stopping on Dolphin. I hope this helps...
  20. I hate lanyards too. It would be nice if Princess let you decline to order a lanyard when you get a new medallion, but I guess they've got a warehouse full of the damn things somewhere and need to get rid of them somehow. The silicone rubber FitBit holders that clip to a shirt pocket or collar work best for me.
