  1. You are not alone my friend. The U.S. postal service is completely unreliable. We have two houses about five miles apart (long story - retired - day house/night house - didn't want to move old cat - nice to get up and out of the house first thing ready for the day...). For about the last six years at the newer house we constantly get mail for other addresses and often don't get mail we know is coming. The old house we have lived in for almost forty years and had perfect (I mean perfect) service until our mail carrier changed a couple of years ago. Now for both houses hold mail may or may not work, at least twice a week we get other people's mail. At least once a month things like our electric or water bills never turn up (thank God for auto pay). We are starting to go paperless even though we don't want to as we are getting old. Why not paperless? If you have ever been the executor of an estate you know why getting paper bills in the mail avoids a lot of headaches. But these days anything sent to you in the mail has a high chance of ending up in the hands of someone else. And the post office does not care. Try to complain. We gave up when every avenue led to a generic "we have noted... we compile statistics... reliable postal service is our highest priority..."
  2. Thanks for having us along Saint Greg. It has been great!
  3. Are you suggesting that he suggested that you suggested he suggested you suggest they make one?
  4. It was never a big deal but used to be nice. Then several years before covid it went down hill. Before that there was a very nice selection of finger foods and we went mainly for that, a place to sit and relax and to have a couple of drinks. Then they started serving almost nothing but sushi which we don't eat. So, with free drinks elsewhere we stopped going. I think folks bring it up because it adds to the long list of things Carnival no longer provides.
  5. An informative list that I assume you found somewhere. Thanks! But I have to ask, is there any other kind of diarrhea? 🤣 Inquiring minds want to know...
  6. That has been our experience also. The closest we have ever had to a search was sniffer dogs looking for agricultural products. They asked us to put our backpack down low so the dog could sniff.
  7. Looking at this latest set of pictures I have one question. Where is everyone? It looks like a ghost ship.
  8. Geez! Might want to look before you jump on a cliché. OP already said the cruise was booked long ago at regular prices.
  9. Oh! I often keep late hours and sleep through the CD announcements, but I did say "except drink or gamble." That's our thing and I did say we enjoy ourselves. But for those who just want to party? You can have a poker game in your room in the assisted living facility with a few of the live guys, but it is still a nursing home. 😁
  10. Carnival folks really don't have any room to talk. Try sleeping past 9am through all the CD announcements. Try finding anything to do except drink or gamble after 11pm. Try finding food after 10 or 11pm. Hey! I'm all over the Carnival deals and we really enjoy ourselves, but they keep nursing home hours.
  11. I have said it before and I'll say it again; I'm looking for a cruise with a big Southern Baptist convention on board. The less gamblers the better. The worst cruise we ever went on was a $100,000 slot tournament cruise. No empty machines till after 11pm.
  12. We got an Elite offer today that was a lot less than past offers - no casino cash. Just free balcony and the Elite perks. We have other much better offers. For Elite think a regular Premier cruise. The gifts are a bit better. Then you have free airport shuttle or free transportation from hotel to terminal. Then you have two one liter bottles of alcohol of your choice (from a not extremely small or big list) along with your choice of mixers (pepsi, orange juice and the like) waiting in your room upon arrival. Then you have one free excursion, drinks on us all over the ship (cheers for you and a companion), and social wi-fi. I probably forgot something.
  13. Count me among them! I always figured that was one reason they didn't sound very good - you try dancing while singing. Though I also figured it was whoever operates the mixing board on the Glory. Heavy on high and low frequencies, almost missing the midrange.
  14. Whichever one's current home port is an hour from my house. Currently Glory.
  15. You really confused me with that line. I was wondering "what kind of cruise is this?" Thank goodness when I read it again I saw you said "naturalist" not "naturist."
  16. Not really. She calls us cousins because we have the same last name. Apparently in Jamaica it is unusual and anyone with that last name is a relative.
  17. I assume what the OP called the "reservation number" would be the booking number if it is a legit email. I have never heard of a reservation number with regard to Carnival. Whenever we book, from the first email acknowledgement onward, they always refer to the booking number.
  18. About the last thing to do with a possible scam email is respond to it. Go to your Carnival account on-line. If the booking is not there try adding the booking. If it comes up check out the details. If it doesn't come up then it was just spam and forget the whole thing.
