  1. I would kindly suggest you thoroughly look at everything you can find about Voyager and lack of kid activities before booking. Not knowing your kids ages it may work for you. Our 3 year old was mildly amused. Our older kids 11 & 12 would have been board to death. Again, my opinion and experience.
  2. It was $23.99 PPPD on Voyager, We paid $24.99 on Odyssey and $22.99 on Symphony. Yes, the bartenders will need to fill the cups for you.
  3. FWIW. We have cruised with our 3 kids 4 weeks this year. It may seem like (and it is) a fair amount for the DBP but as is often pointed out on this forum it only takes ~6 to 7 drinks to be at $65 to $75 dollars PPPD. Even with all that's included with the refreshment package once you add those 2 or 3 or 4 adult beverages during dinner or a show or family movie on the deck or brunch day it negates the savings in most cases. We always get our value out of the DBP. It's nice to try different adult drinks and not feel like you have to finish it if you don't want to. IMO...
  4. Just off of Voyager 3 weeks ago. There are NO Freestyle machines on board at this time. Several beverage staff did mention it is in the plan to add them in the future. Just be aware at this point in time you have to go to any bar/venue that offers soda to have the cup filled.
  5. No, Adventure Ocean strikes again! That's the way the most likely timing works out any way.
  6. @Momof3gurlz all three of us also came home with souvenirs other then our obligatory refrigerator stickers and t shirts. Positive Tuesday mid morning with rapid symptom on set Monday mid afternoon. That's now all three cruises this year.
  7. I had mentioned in @Momof3gurlz live last week were weren't really impressed with our JS. This being our first time in this category I had expected our room to be in better shape. I had mentioned the issues to our deck supervisor on day two of the first week and no progress had been made by day 4 of week two. On one of my trips to the R bar the hotel manager happened to come by and I politely explained the issues and showed him a couple photos of my concerns. I acknowledged they were cosmetic and the ship was older but it seemed odd to me that the issues existed especially in a suite albeit a JS. He asked permission to enter our room the following day and view for himself. I of course agreed and thanked him for his time and attention to my concerns (some are attached. Not shown is every single cabinet in the suite and bath had extremely loose hinges making it difficulttoclose the doors correctly). The following day everything was rectified complete with a new shower assembly. I hope the next guest will enjoy the improvements. Evening of day 6 the deck supervisor and House keeping manager knocked on our door with sincere apologies and a nice gesture of FCC to insure we remain "loyal to royal". The gesture was nice and I'm thankful for it. They are clearly still under staffed in every department and trying really hard not to let it effect the guests as much as possible.
  8. I had scheduled an UberX for our 4:45 am pick up and transfer to the airport and surprisingly it showed up at 4:15. (The driver smelled like he had just left a smokey "herb" party) but he was early and got us to the airport safely. All 4.2 miles of it. Easy security and had plenty of time before our flight. We flew Spirit direct with "big comfy" seats. My legs don't fit in the standard seating on Spirit. My knees are crushed against the seat back in front of me. Safely back to Boston 3 hours and 45 minutes later we boarded a 90 minute bus ride to our home town.
  9. Disembarking was definitely challenging. Maybe the smaller ship creates the 45 minute line to get off but I had never experienced that before on the larger ships. We grabbed a porter for our 6 large suit cases and he helped us to the curb where we waited about 20 minutes for the UberX I had called. Nowing now a taxi was readily available I will probably do that next time we port in San Juan. It was a quick 11 minute ride to our Airbnb near Isle Verde. Our check-in wasn't until 3pm. We were so lucky the people hadn't shown up the day before so we were able to check-in as soo as we got there at 10AM. The property was a nicely decorated modern esk penthouse with two floors, two bathrooms and two bedrooms.... pool and views to match.
  10. We wrapped up our evening with finishing our packing and giving out our "thank$" to all of our favorite staff that took care of us for the two weeks. Off to bed with a 9am departure time.
  11. Sorry for the extended delay everyone. Day 7 was St. Kitts & Nevis. We did another catamaran snorkel beach tour. At this point I think I've had my fill of "booze cruises with a little snorkeling" It wasn't quite what I thought I was signing up for. Live and learn as they say.
  12. I purposely chose not to include any MDR photos as most following already know what the food looks like and nothing was different this week.
  13. One thing I noticed last week and it happened again this week. The other Royal Caribbean cruises we've been on the luggage tags come the night before departure (day 7). On this ship they distribute them on day six. It feels like we're being rushed off the ship and brings a sense of early closure to the vacation experience. Maybe no big deal but it seems premature.
  14. I took a look this evening and I didn't see any $.25 slots. Only .01, .02 & .05 slot machines.
  15. Today was Barbados. We did a catamaran snorkeling tour. It was fun but I don't think I would do it again. Only a small amount to see under the sea. We did see a turtle.
  16. We were lucky to have the repo cruise the week before to decompress and "get ready". I don't think we would have done it otherwise. Definitely a packed week!
  17. @Coralc I brought my underwater camera with me today. The photos will have to wait for edits after we get home next week.
  18. Thanks for letting me know. I think we expected it may happen. We have tested positive after each sailing this year. General cold symptoms each time. There are lots and lots of people hacking on this cruise now that we are on day 5.
  19. We had a great time on our excursion today! We did the kayaking and snorkeling in St. Lucia.
  20. A pipe burst on deck 8 today. It shutdown all of the seating area in the R bar. All of the water was draining down through the decks.
  21. Last night was actually perfect. We actually got our entire order and our drinks! The guys at the R bar say hi!
  22. It was a nice surprise to come back from dinner and find this very nice gesture from the F&B manager.
