  1. The day started with breakfast in the Windjammer and we went first thing at 6:45. It was very easy to get everything we wanted with no lines and no waiting. We had a snorkeling excursion scheduled for today. We lined up at 8:15 on the dock but were advised due to nicole passing it had created low visibility conditions and we may not be able to see much so we canceled and brought our gear back to our cabin. We decided to head into town and do the touristy thing and sit on the beach for the morning. We took the water taxi ($7 round trip PP) from the pier and then pushed past the "beach chair special" guys and walked down the beach a ways. Near the end we found a very nice man cleaning up seaweed. We chatted for a few minutes about how the environment has changed and how they have to clean everything up every day. The pile he had cleaned up this morning just from his section was up to my waist (I'm 6'4"). It was actually sort of shocking! After chatting we continued on but quickly turned around and asked if his chairs were open. Absolutely no pressure or pushing. He said two for $20 with the umbrella. I would highly recommend this spot.
  2. The snorkeling was nice. There was a decent amount of marine life. It is sad that the coral is in rough shape. I would say it was about the same as Roatan. My apologies on the underwater photos. I forgot the underwater camera in our room. I also didn't bring a method to transfer from the camera to CC on our trip.
  3. Our table was ready and available tonight for dinner in the MDR. We have new servers this week so they don't know our families groove. We connected so well with last weeks servers and I find it hard to adjust "be patient" while our new servers learn what we need. This is especially hard as our 4 year old can see our server's from last week in the dining room. The repeat of last week's menu makes our choices easier this week. Our service team today was definitely mis matched. Tomorrow is a new day!
  4. To spite the forecast today ended up being a fantastic day! We did the Buck Island snorkeling tour in St. Croix. It was a 40 minute ride over to the other side of the island. We then boarded a Coast Guard inspected vessel and got on our way! Our tour operator was great and made sure everyone was accommodated. While the operator did an excellent job with the time allocated i do wish we had one more hour to explore....
  5. Un requested both the Windjammer manager and the deck 5 MDR maitre d had advised the food and beverage director of last nights events and our experience. He was kind enough to trest us to dinner at Chops with his sincere apologies.
  6. Today was a beautiful day in St. Thomas. The weather held for rhe entire day and while it was very humid it was really nice to have some sun. Our shore excursion to St. John "Trunk bay beach and snorkel" was canceled for operational issues so we walked around down town today.
  7. Thank you so much! We are currently in the most beautiful lighting storm. It's amazing! The week looks a bit soggy. I'm certain we'll make the best of it.
  8. The first night's dinner was definitely challenging. When we arrived for our 6PM seating in the MDR we found another couple sitting at our assigned table. The staff tried to seat us at 2 other tables but they also had been occupied by other guests unexpectedly. We chose to go to the Windjammer. Upon arrival at the Windjammer we were shocked to find a line that stretched toe to heel out the door. It seemed everyone on the ship went at the very same time. We decided to leave as there was no room to even walk in the venue. When we went back it appeared a tornado had gone through the entire place. There were no less than 75 tables heaped with dishes. We ended up clearing and wiping our own table.
  9. Our stops this week. Embarkation - San Juan Day 2 - St.Thomas Day 3 - St. Croix Day 4 - St. Maarten Day 5 - St. Lucia Day 6 - Barbados Day 7 - St. Kitts Day 8 - San Juan We have snorkeling excursions scheduled each day this week and I am excited to share all the photos this week!
  10. All 168 B2B cruisers gathered in the Star Lounge at 9:15 AM. On board staff gave us our new Seapass cards and asked us to have a seat.Coffee, tea and pastries were provided for everyone to enjoy. Roughly 40 minutes passed and CBP boarded the vessel. We were asked to line up and scan off the ship with our old cards and circle around and reenter the Star lounge. Upon reentry CBP checked our passports and we needed to sit back down. After all Pax were completed we then returned to a line and scanned on the ship with our new cards. We were then free to roam about the ship.
  11. After many technical difficulties we seemed to have resolved the photo upload issues. I will attempt to resize my photos and start from where @Momof3gurlz departed Sunday morning. I hope you will enjoy!
  12. I think we've figured out the problem! Here is a test photo of St. Thomas.
  13. You may have been lucky to not book the extra week. 3600 PAX this week. It's an absolute zoo. After our table was taken by another couple in the MDR last night they tried to take us to two other tables and those also had people unexpectedly sitting at them. We gave up and tried to go to the Windjammer. From 6:30 to 7:30 the Windjammer manager said they did 2400 people. I've never seen anything like it. We left as we could not even walk in the venue. The line was out the doors and around the stations toe to toe. When we went back at 8:30 there were more than 80 tables stacked up with dirty dishes. We cleared and wiped down our own table to have a spot to sit. Very similar this morning. It's definitely a very different week and a VERY different crowd.
  14. Yes, I have tried all over the ship. I was able to upload text after again clearing all cookies per the directions possible after only I had connected to 4G in St. Thomas. At this point I'm certain it's a CC server issue. I don't know what the issue is but I can upload to another Royal cruise board with no issue. I'm currently on 5G in San Juan and still have the same problem.
  15. If you have any insight.... I still can't upload photos. I can now post text only. I've cleared all cookies, restarted my phone and am using Chrome. At the end of the photo upload I just get (server error -200). Next week is island hopping every day and really was looking forward to sharing photos with the group. The only successful photo upload was cruise port boston on embarkation day.
  16. @Momof3gurlz I'm finally able to login in to CC after connecting to 5G here in St. Thomas. For some strange reason I could not login after 11/2 and the update. It was very nice to meet you and Andy last night and chat for awhile.
  17. Funny, we have used every inch of storage and closet space but we are here for 2 weeks and have a 4 year old with lot's of dresses. I just think I had different expectations on what the JS would be. Even with pre cruise reaserch. I do really also enjoy Derek at the R bar! He is fantastic. By the looks of your cruise port boston photo you appear to be on the same deck maybe 10 doors down or so. I have random photos to supplement different things you're posting (younger family POV/things I find interesting) but I can't get any of them to upload. I just get (random server error-200) at the very end of the photo uploading. It's so frustrating. Hope you enjoyed your perfect day yesterday and I hope you enjoy the sea day today!
  18. Same for me... it appears we are still strapped to the ship's internet. It seems the coco cay network is just a repeater network of the ship you are on. I did a speed test next to a couple on Liberty with surf and stream. They are getting 38mbps down and 8.5mbps down on the Liberty network. Sitting directly next to them on the voyager network I'm still getting .5mbps down and .12 mbps upload. So frustrating!
