Thanks for the question. I love this room. Apparently you cannot ever turn off the balcony screen and it has blackout curtains which are needed as I like dark sleep space.
The idea is very interesting. Because it’s not a real balcony it can be set on one of the longer walls and not on a short one opposite the entry door. It’s located where a sleeper sofa would be if this cabin held a third person.
This leaves the back wall open for the bed. One thing I often dislike is the need to walk all the way around the bed to get to the window or balcony. It makes an already small space feel crowded and cluttered. This layout is great.
I have a decent amount of open floor space. Lighting is thoughtfully placed and the room, though an interior, feels luxurious. It’s as silent as a tomb, just the white noise of the HVAC, if not quite as dark.
There’s a European style electric water kettle provided, with English Breakfast tea, instant coffee packets and sweetened condensed milk pouches. I am enjoying a cup this morning after the kind of deep sleep I seem to get only on cruises in inside cabins. 🛌💤😴Thanks for the info. Kind of looking forward to it......we do have a balcony room too that i can use as well..so best of both worlds.

How do you like this room? We actually have two rooms booked on our July Alaskan cruise. My hubby snores terribly...so we book a sleep room for one of us lol. The other is a balcony. The other room is one of these.

Informal poll:
Does baklava, by any chance, happen to count as a fruit or maybe even a vegetable?
Select your best answer:
1. Yes
2. No
3. Well, it’s not meat so maybe
4. One piece per day is fruit, two is cheating
Yes ! The flour and sugar are all grown by farmers ! hence it's a vegetable !

Bumping this thread back up to garner any recent experiences. As @CruiserBruce pointed out, there are several threads on the topic, including the one I started a few minutes ago, but finding them via the search function is a pathetic undertaking, at best. As it is, I stumbled across this thread via google...
We just signed up for luggage valet service and I am hopeful it is as good and reliable as it seems. Our confirmation indicates that airline baggage fees will be billed to our cruise folio. However, we have 2 comped bags due to first class ticketing so we shouldn't get a charge to our folio. How reliable is this? I DID indicate an exemption to the bag fees when I signed up.
I just signed up too and i marked exempt . We have free bags as we are flying first class. It showed a zero balance at checkout, so i hope that holds up.

We had planned on using this as our flight wasn't leaving until 1:30pm. Our flight now got moved to 12:30 pm, and not sure if that is too early to use this service. Would love to use it.

Can you use the dollar value to offset the price of a newer ship (Icon) when casino offers aren't yet valid for that ship?
Yes you can. Just call Casino Royale and they will use the dollar value towards another cruise.

I don’t know what is happening. I’m an early riser. It is 5 am and I’m up. I head down to the lobby in my pj’s. I do this all the time and normally just see staff. Now people are every where in their PJ’s. I eventually decide to follow all the people to see why they are up. They are all coming down to the pitch dark beach. I’m not sure why yet.

DUPABLE here
Decided it is time for me to jump in on this. Not sure how long everyone has been following denversail but I am her mother. If you followed her on her February cruise on Odyssey you have heard me mentioned before. I had to step in and support Mr IT. He truly is an artist. I have been seeing his photos on Facebook for years and am constantly in awe. He deserves all the likes he gets. And ……. I now totally understand how he has felt as she cruises off into the sunset and he is left home with the dogs. That is exactly what has happened to me. Now I’m not saying I don’t like the dogs - I know some of you may have bonded with them as you heard their problems before, Its just that watching the dogs isn’t very exciting - I want to be cruising !! But no, I wasn’t even invited - just informed that I would be helping Wolf care for them while she was gone. However, no hard feelings - I truly hope they have a great time and I will be with them in spirit as I read the blog. I do have one question for her followers - don’t you think she should have a catchy name like she has given all of us? Post your suggestions ! Based on her last post how about Tipsy Cruiser ?
I just don't think she can change her name now.........it's her brand ! 🙂 Enjoying this thread immensely !

This would be so amazing to see. It looks like a SpaceX launch. Has anyone seen these launches before? Do you think we will be able to see it from the ship? That would be so cool.
I think the time has been updated to 3 pm on the website. Would love to hear about anyone’s experiences seeing these from the ship.
Just sailed on Mariner from PC on March 21st, and we could see it very well. Was amazing !

That is patently false. Show me the perfume-induced emphysema or lung cancer patients. 80% of lung cancer related deaths are thought to be caused by smoking.
I didnt say they caused it...i said it affects them in an adverse way. sheesh..chill out folks

Probably because the smoke from smoking just doesn't stay with the smoker it drifts into non smokers. I think there would be less of this if there were like smoking boxes where the smoke stayed with the smokers everyone would be happy.
So does the perfume and aftershave that people bathe themselves in daily. Those fumes are just as detrimental to people with lung conditions as smoking is!

One of my favorite services when sailing from SEA. And, if you have status with any of the airlines, where they give you a free bag(s) check in, the service is free.
Set your bag outside the cabin the night before disembarkation and you don't see it again until baggage claim at your destination.
So glad i saw this thread. We will definately use this !

Clearly, the answer is yes, or they would not be asking. It's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be- as we've been carrying on for +60 cruises now.
But that's also not the question the OP was wondering about.
Exactly 🙂 Since i am cruising solo...i figured it would be easier for me to get everything in one, and I think i can get everything in a medium suitcase for 4 nights. Certain things i don't want to "check" , so i am going to try this.

The question is...do you really want to drag around your full luggage until your cabin is ready to let you in?
I won't be getting there until about noon anyways....I wont have to for more than an hour .
