You would bring your Roku streaming device with you and connect it to the TV and then the ship's internet. We were on the Discovery and the internet was terrible in November 2022, February 2023 and April 2023. I have heard that they are installed the new Starlink so that may make a difference.

We are similar. We live in Southern California and the Port of Los Angeles is about a 24 mile drive. So we have done many Mexico cruises. We did not even get off the Discovery this past four day cruise.

It would be great to meet you as well. We only have one cruise booked on the Majestic in September out of Vancouver. this will be our 3rd time on the Majestic. I have sailed the Ruby several times (2016 and 2018). Nice ship. TV was easy to connect unless they have changed them out.

We have no plans for the Enchanted at the moment. Our next cruise will be on the Majestic again. The Majestic has a button on the bottom of the TV in the middle to get you to the input menu. Someone has made a video for the Majestic. That is how we found out for our January 2022 and April 2022 voyages. You could always invest in the $8.95 remote and check it out for yourself and report back to us. I did look at a couple of YouTube videos on the Enchanted and it looks like the TV might be the same.

Yes, we were on the Majestic Princess twice last year and used that little toggle button on the bottom. It did not work on the Discovery. The little $8.95 remote was a gem. We watched lots of our own content that we brought on our laptop. We have watched all of the Love Boat episodes and wanted something different LOL. Very spoiled we are...

We have sailed on the Discovery three times now. Twice, we could not figure out how to get the TV to connect to our laptop and iPad. We just disembarked the Discovery Princess, our third trip, yesterday, April 26th, 2023. Thanks to the person who posted the TV remote from Amazon! I purchased this remove and brought it with us on our voyage. My boyfriend sorted how to do it easily. I then made the video below to help others. Enjoy! You will need the remote and the HDMI cable.

We have found that with our OBC - (FCD, plus my Stockholder OBC, and my Princess CC OBC) plus the two bottles of wine you can take onboard at embarkation have worked for us. I do not drink alcohol but my boyfriend does. I enjoy a couple of fancy mocktails while BF has several glasses of wine. We no longer get the photos. We pre-pay our tips as well. the internet if half price. We have been able to take our last couple of voyages with about $20 that we owe at the end. To each his/her own. One needs to do the math to see if it is worth it. For us it does not add up. If your voyage has lots of port days, you may not get your money's worth. A trans-Atlantic with lots of sea days may make it worth it.

We have found that it is not worth it for us. In order to break even, you need to drink too much.

Hey, Thanks for your review. We live in SoCal (about 30 minutes from the port of LA) and did the (4 day) 80's cruise in February on the Discovery. We are going again this Saturday for the exact same 80's cruise on the Discovery again. I need two more cruises to become Elite and this made it easy. We enjoyed our 80's cruise and wore our themed shirts and outfits. Well, I wore the 80's outfits and my boyfriend wore the couple of MTV shirts I bought for him. We had Hollywood U2 but I am not a U2 fan so we skipped this show. We had DSB (really good) and Wanted (pretty good) as well on our voyage. I had seen DSB on land a couple of years ago. They will be on our Saturday voyage as entertainment. We will also have a Pat Benatar tribute band. Leo Rossi was our guest lecturer as well in February and again in April. We first saw him for the first time in January of 2022 on the Majestic. He is a great speaker. We love listening to his adventures of touring with bands. I bought and read his book. I hope that princess will do more of these themed cruises. It makes it fun. I overheard an older couple talking about the outfits and why people were dressed that way. Someone told them it was the theme of the cruise. LOL I loved your review. Our voyage has been sold out for about six weeks now. The Discovery is a really great ship. The food has been really good to great. We are not big buffet people. We usually eat in the MDR for most meals. We have eaten a couple of times in the buffet and it has been pretty good. We will be on the Majestic in September 2023 for 10 days. I am looking forward to going to this restaurant. I did not enjoy Sur Le Mur as much as the Crown Grill.

I think that Princess does not want everyone bum rushing at 11am and overloading the process. In January 2022, it was extremely crowded everywhere. The Suite-Elites area is not very big but does have some snacks and drinks. It looked like there were so many people there that some were left standing as there were not enough chairs. The platinum area had plenty of chair when we arrived but it soon filled up as well. We only had 974 passengers and it seemed like everyone came early. The rooms are not ready until about noon'ish. Enjoy your suite. We are in a Mini suite for our next voyage.

Hello, The last four cruises that we have sailed out of San Pedro, there was a little area for the Suites and Elites. They get on first. Platinum has another area and gets on once the Suites and Elites have moved out of that area. In January 2022 and April 2022 - they started boarding around 11:45am. In November 2022 and February 2023 - we arrived at 11:10am Suites and Elites were already gone so we (Platinum) just walked on once we were checked in. It was super quick and easy. Two more cruises and I will be Elite. My boyfriend will be Platinum after our next cruise (April 2023). Enjoy, Christie

Hey, We have found that the price is the same. If you are Platinum or Elite, you will get it half price. Our 10 cruise in September 2023 will be $200 total for four devices. We were on in February 2023 and it was the same price so we use our OBC to pay for it. It is $15 per day for one device It is $20 per day for four devices Enjoy your cruise
