    Menus were given out on Ventura pre covid.

    Have the app on the smaller ships too, but it is superfluous on those as they can manage the numbers on board with no need for pre booking everything 😂

    Notice the use of "we" a lot. Cruising solo is a different experience and much more suited to smaller, friendlier ships. Nothing to do with technology, just the overall ambience created by smaller passenger numbers on board.

    If P&O depend on younger pax (who work) and families, they will come unstuck when trying to fill the mega ships during term time, winter, etc. We "oldies" are the ones with the funds, and time, to cruise all year round. Dismiss us at your peril!

    Only one special drinks event I have seen was on Britannia many years ago for Baltic and Ligurian only. Did not even get Peninsular cocktail party on this Arcadia cruise due to norovirus, just one free drink voucher.

    Have not recieved a proper survey for any of my 13 cruises since covid. Only the feefo star rating one.

    You seem to be relatively new to this forum. I have always found it to be fairly positive, informative and balanced with posts about all the different types of ship. A bit confrontational at times, but on the whole friendly and useful. Don't stop posting just because some of us have different opinions. That's what forums are about.

    The current price reductions show that maybe some cruises are not selling as well as they might. Some good deals around, particularly for solos.

    Board about 1230 to 1300 usually. Relax, now on board. Peninsular lunch. Lots of wine, meet people. Snooze, get ready for dinner. Eat. Sleep. Feel lucky to be still cruising.

    I do not like dining alone, so never use speciality restaurants. Fixed dining in MDR is much better for me.

    Laundry is best bet. Sometimes special offers. Not overly expensive.

    And the brunch. Bit over the top though!

    Never had a problem changing once on board. 2nd sitting is usually less popular. Go and see the Maitre D when you board.

    When I began cruising on Celebrity, all behind the scenes tours were free. Even got strawberries dipped in chocolate at end of galley tour. Tours on P&O pre covid were chargeable. No tours now. How things have changed.
