  1. You will be hooked. Believe me!
  2. No. And who wants to do washing on holiday?! Take enough clothes or use the laundry.
  3. Have done a Randox test run. Very easy and result in 15 minutes. Lloyd's chemists need to stop offering test they cannot do. Surely they do not need their own tests and "qualified clinician" - you could do it yourself with an NHS test kit supervised by a member of staff who checks results and issue certificate. This process could be far easier and less stressful.
  4. I have a Lloyd's test booked in 3 week's time, local and convenient. If they cancel I have a spare Randox test. Long shelf life so can use it for one of my other cruises this year if I do not need it (belts and braces!)
  5. No, only one free tin. The other one is one of the six you order and pay for. Extortionate price for water. Tap is fine if chilled!
  6. What about the busker? Awful. Murdering good songs!
  7. No mini bars now. Drink is ordered via room service, but I get mine from the bar and put it in the fridge. Plus of course you can take some on.
  8. Don't worry, Randox use GMT and we are on BST at the moment, hence the hour difference. Does not matter.
  9. 6.30 and 8.30 if the same as Ventura.
  10. Yes, although Solstice class are smaller than Iona. They both have azipods I believe. Loved the likes of Eclipse (especially happy hour in Sky lounge!) but they got too expensive for me.
  11. It is now Peninsular Club. Must have been Portunas before I started cruising.
  12. My obc never lasts for the whole cruise so on the rare occasions I want to do an excursion I pre book to get 10% off. Prefer to keep my obc for cocktails, etc!
  13. Randox testing is 24/7 including bank holidays so you can do it any time on the day before.
  14. Someone just got off Ventura having spent second week of cruise on deck 9 in isolation. Said at least 8 cabins occupied. Another just got home and now has covid. Says people had it but said nothing so spread around. Bound to happen and just hope people were not too ill. I caught it on Ventura in March but had no symptoms until day after I got home.
  15. Your obc has to be used before the 10% discount applies. But if you book excursions, etc. pre boarding you get your discount!
  16. Mask wearing was compulsory in theatre two weeks ago. Has it changed now?
  17. Not seen any theme nights on 4 cruises recently.
  18. Randox tests can be done any time. Not just during "opening hours".
  19. No booking for MDR as it is fixed dining. Only Freedom dining can be booked (or just turn up if not busy).
  20. Also, as ships are not full at present there is always plenty of room in MDR especially in 2nd sitting I have found recently. Should not be a problem.
  21. NHS tests at home are merely to see if you are positive or not. They do not involve scanning your passport and result and uploading the scans. Totally different and well worth doing a test run to put your mind at rest before the real thing. If you are paying thousands for a cruise, a few pounds spent on a spare test is insignificant.
  22. But having visited several times (and never had good weather!) I can assure you that they can have significant winds, snow and fog. Never had a port cancelled though. Must be lucky!
  23. Go and see the Maitre D at the restaurant when you board and he will do his best to accommodate you.
  24. But the whole point is that the Randox one is done via their app on your smart phone and you may want to try it out. Totally different to doing a home test just to see if you are negative or not!
