  1. Have had no extra offered for next cruise on Arcadia but have paid balance. Have had two cruises cancelled and done 6 in the last 12 months. Can't see the logic. So much for loyalty! 😒
  2. 🙉 Ignore the sarcastic ones on here, they contribute nothing to the forum. 🙉
  3. Usually the last formal night. Not advertised as such but lots of ladies in b and w on Britannia last week.
  4. Funny that we were all issued with masks night before arrival in LA Spezia. Coming out of terminal, policeman said "take that off, you do not need it here"! Just the ship covering itself probably.
  5. Agree. Overnight stops do not interest me. Hope Arcadia in August sticks to advertised itinerary. Fingers crossed!
  6. Not missing much! Calendar was poor this year, jut pics of Iona, food, etc. In the bin, do not need it, have a phone and a diary.
  7. Hate them! Always give them back to steward.
  8. Sunset Bar is nicknamed "The Fridge" as it is practically unusable in cold or windy weather! But at least it is a better area than on Royal Princess which was merely a huge open space with fake grass, some sunbeds, tables and chairs for smokers and a chap serving drinks from a trolley!?
  9. Yes, we used to go to France several times a year on Dad's sailing yacht and package holidays to Spain. Happy days!
  10. You do not understand. It is not the buffet food that is the problem, it is the whole buffet experience, which is why some of us prefer more relaxed and sociable dining. Each to their own.
  11. MDR lunch was available every day for the last two weeks on Britannia and same on Ventura in May. Hope it stays as I do not use buffet.
  12. Did we have to have visas to holiday in Europe in pre EU times? I don't remember having to get one.
  13. Agree, but informing about an outbreak and advising mask wearing at least makes people aware of the risk and the need to be more vigilant, which is not a bad thing. One of my table mates was feeling rough and subsequently isolated with covid, poor thing. Luckily I seem to be OK!
  14. Do not worry, a couple of people on this forum just like to be rude and sarcastic. It is a sad trait in some! Just ignore their posts.
  15. Absolutely, and very well attended. No sign of staff shortages either.
  16. Obviously, cruise ship environments are different to on shore establishments. When captain asks you to wear masks as there is an outbreak on board, as on Britannia last week, he is only trying to protect his crew as much as possible, especially with some staff shortages already.
  17. Came off Britannia today. No complaints at all and I thought she was in pretty good shape, and very clean. Much better condition than Ventura last month although much younger of course! Food was very good and service excellent as usual. My best cruise this year so far.
  18. Yes. My friend left her phone on during GiB transit and lost 52 quid credit!
  19. Last week was quoted £8500 for a balcony single occupation in October, 19 nights on Arcadia. Won't be going!
  20. Itineraries Offer Nothing Appealing! Any other good acronyms out there?
