Ours still looks that way too and is mildly annoying. Oh well. -
NCL Introduces new "Free At Sea Plus" Packages
cameronp12 replied to BamaCruiser39's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Also, just as an FYI, I added FASUP while already having 8 excursions booked for our upcoming sailing and wanted to do an experiment on whether the $50 per excursion refund would automatically be processed or if I would have to call the excursion department and have them do it manually. I waited a few days and then this morning I check my credit card statement and each refund is pending being processed. That was easy! -

Just to chime in here, I've never paid them on Celebrity out of Florida or on Royal out of Galveston, so my guess would definitely be that RCI just eats the taxes and doesn't pass them on the customer - a much better feeling IMO. I have also noticed that with both RCCL and Celebrity, they don't always even ring up every drink, since the packages are truly "unlimited", so that might have something to do with it, as mentioned above.

Haha! I actually hadn't refreshed this thread when I went to my email for the quiz, so didn't see the answers in advance. This one was even easier than others though I think.

Just finished mine. Easy quiz this time!

We are on the sailing after yours on the Star - 9/26-10/6 starting in Copenhagen. When did you find out Warnemunde is cancelled? I just looked on the cruise planner and ours still shows it will be going there. We already have an excursion booked there as well. Weird they would cancel it for one of the cruises but not the otherā¦

I got 3 points added as well! Hopefully there will be another power-up activity this month or next?

Appreciate your insight...as long as the shore excursion refunds process, this upgrade will be a no brainer. -

That's what I was afraid of. Not the end of the world, just requires talking to multiple reps when it seems like only some of them even know about FASUP to begin with š Curious if anyone else has a different experience? -

Has anyone upgraded to the FASUP while already having excursions booked? If so, did the $50 refunds for the second guest on each excursion automatically process or does it involve a call to the ShorEx department and cancelling/rebooking? -
Just looked in my cruise planner online for my upcoming September sailing and it looks like Moderno and Teppanyaki are now listed at $58.80, up from $49.00.

New Sail Safe Covid Polices Effective 9/2/22
cameronp12 replied to hernando52's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
NCLās website does not mention Netherlands, so Iām guessing they donāt require anything additional for it? We will be on the Star in September in Northern Europe with a stop in Amsterdam. We are fully vaccinated, so no issues there. I donāt get the impression Netherlands requires testing, just vaccination maybe? -
Star Dailies -Iceland, Ireland, England

Appreciate the response. I figured given the relaxation of requirements in general. -

Thanks! Will be on the Star 9/26 out of Copenhagen, so this is super helpful. 2 questions: I see on the first page, it mentions masks being required at all times - is this based on the ports you are going to or the ship itself? Only reason I ask is because other cruises, masks have been optional. Second, do they provide a clean KN-95 each day or just the one on the first day? I donāt have a problem at all with masks, just want to understand the requirements on the Star as well as how many masks I will need to bring myself. -
You had me worried a second hahaā¦we are supposed to be on the Star on 9/26 out of Copenhagen. Whew!

The infamous Batchelorette is now airing!
cameronp12 replied to johnnylikely's topic in Virgin Voyages
Agreed. And this was the 3rd week (?) of the show I think and the first episode it was featured. They started in Le Havre and are doing a private cruise through Northern Europe it seems. The preview for next week alluded to them being in Bruges next. -

I watch the show with the wifeā¦Iām mostly just there to laugh at the drama (and the trade off is that she watches some football with me in the fallā¦lol). Anyhow, I think they did nice last night (the first episode the ship makes an appearance) on showing lots of beautiful shots of the ships and did a shoutout to VV. We canāt predict whether this will drive more bookings, but the average demographic who watches the show is definitely who VV wants to market to, so this probably makes a lot of sense to them. Iām just not sure that demographic wants to cruise as much sadly. -
Just to hop on this thread, is this unique to NCL? Iāve been on other cruise lines all over Europe and never paid taxes on a drink while having their drink package. Not sure if NCL chooses to āpassā it on to the customer and other lines just āeatā the taxes or what. But I promise Iāve never been charged for a drink while in a port if I had a drink package. I look at my tab religiously to make sure I am not being charged for anything I shouldnāt be.

Recent Equinox Cruisers - Renovation completed?
cameronp12 replied to Oceangoer2's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We were in a C2 cabin, but I would assume no different than C1, other than location on the ship. Ours was deck 9 aft starboard, # 9326 to be exact. I would say that overall, no renovations to the cabin itself, but furniture and soft goods were updated a little, giving it a cleaner appearance. Balcony furniture was in good condition as well. Bathroom shower has a glass sliding door. I donāt recall if S class ships have always had glass showers, but I know M class had curtains pre-revolution. No complaints about the room honestly. -

We were on the Equinox in June and felt like it was in really good, but not great condition. We were in a concierge balcony cabin on deck 9 for reference. The public areas largely look great and the crew was great as always! I think you would have a great time no matter what. The cabin is just somewhere to sleep at night. Our balcony railing was a little worn, but nothing to complain about. Sheās still an excellent ship!
