  1. Oh Romco….so sorry you got your first case of Covid on cruise vaca! You know better than most how to protect yourself and did welll. You deserve a wonderful cruise after going thru this pandemic as a healthcare provider for Covid patients!! My heart goes out to you! Hoping you have had some joyful time this cruise and no regrets! As my prior reply said we have managed to avoid infection thus far. I read how this latest variant my infect those of us who haven’t had it yet. Could that be your case. We were willing to take our 3 cruises during Covid…having insurance and plan B and C…just in case. Knowing full well it’s definitely a risk! Be well and hope husband avoids it!
  2. Wow…ok…thanks. I thought at least the veranda at may be larger?
  3. We have a Veranda stateroom booked for July…V2. What is the difference between basic Veranda stateroom from a Deluxe Veranda…other than price? I keep looking for this info and just cannot find. If this question has already been posted…I have not seen it. Thank you!
  4. We have cruised 3 tx during Covid. Each time a different line. We have worn masks on flights, inside airport, outside of our ships cabins, walking around inside ship, elevator and into dining areas. Did not do any shows. Ate outside in good weather. But did do bus excursions…masked. Outside unmasked. Very few worn by others…unless required. More staff did….sometimes required. We managed to avoid Covid to this day….and have tested often. We know we have had much exposure..Spoke with other passengers that were out of quarantine. At this point of time…we may not be so careful. Have a March cruise. But we do think it likely helps. Worth wearing while traveling? We don’t love it and enjoy not wearing them lately….other than nursing home visits. Maybe this newest highly infectious variant will finally get us. Well….maybe we will wear our masks on March cruise….???
  5. We have 5 school age grandkids with us for our July Med cruise. 6-12. What you post was a main concern for us. From various threads and posters with kids on recent cruises, the kid’s programming has been a hit. Many preferred Celebrity over the larger ships very geared for kids that they have cruised. Kids often preferred the less crowded activities and the closer attention they were given. Likely more families with kids during school breaks and summer vaca. Anyway.…Hoping that positive reports are still the case!
  6. I keep hoping the Oceanfront buffet keeps going! I can understand possibly offering a few less options….but we are a large family group cruising this coming summer on Reflection. We need food options and esp for kids! Will also eat in MDR….but…Will not pay extra for specialty dining. Even when it’s just my husband and myself…no specially dining! The one time we did was a disssappointment.
  7. Are there self laundry options? Washers and dryers we can use?
  8. Hello teacher! You so deserve this awesome trip! We are doing this same 9 day itinerary this coming July 8th 2023. They have recently changed our first 2 Italian ports. We too are expending our trip at both ends. We like you…. need to travel in peak summer season as we have five grade school age grandchildren…and 6 adults. We have recently booked all shore ex all thru Celebrity. They had a 30% off cyber deal 2 wks ago. We were able to stay in the $80-$110 price range pp for ours and just feels more comfortable thru Celebrity for such a lg fam group. I do realize we will be on larger tours and less flexibility. We have cruised before and done both independent and ship tours. Also just recently booked our open jaw flights thru FBC for us all. I was often checking airline websites and Kayak. Celebrity got us good pricing and reasonable times and connections. As much as these flights total…so nice to hold off paying till March when we have final payment!
