What about the larger Carnival cruise ship that was rumored?

The rumor was 2029 so the large ship could still be in the works. Carnival did say that there would most likely be a ship a year starting in 2027

After the last fire, did she immediately get repaired or did she sail with a half burned tail? Any photos?
Carnival Conquest had to come down to Grand Turk to bring the guests back to Port Canaveral. Freedom then sailed to Freeport looking like this:
After 4 canceled cruises, they made a temporary repair
And then here are the new wings at the shipyard in Cadiz before it was put on the ship in October

Carnival Corporation ships, including Carnival Cruise Line, dock in all three berths at Puerta Maya, not just the one you circled.
Yes, but the question of this topic was asking where Jubilee docks so I circled the one where Jubilee docks

There probably wouldn't be a market for a world cruise, but what if Carnival tries something new like send a (older ship, not talking about the 4th Excel here) to South America or even Antarctica? Maybe for a season

With RCCL announcement that sometime this year a new class of "smaller' ships will be introduced. We know "currently" CCL has no plans for smaller ship builds. I know this will be few years down the road, but I wonder how CCL will market their older ships to the newer RCCL "smaller" ships. I believe RCCL effort would be to attract the seasoned cruiser not looking for the mega ships while enticing new cruisers at the same time. I understand cruise lines market new cruises dollars to expand their clients base and profits, but it appears to me RCCL understands new cruises become seasoned cruisers and seasoned cruiser provides a reliable base for the industry.
Its important to remember that Royal Caribbean's thought of a small ship is still big. The rumors of Project Discovery say that it will be 130-140 thousand gross tons, which is the about the size of the Voyager class.

Why do the cruises from Baltimore start on days like Thursday? It makes it hard if you don't want to take more than 5 days off for a 8 day cruise. I know Carnival departs on Sundays but I feel like there should be a better way around it.

I always used to use the calendar view option...but lost the link when my computer crashed.
Is that still a thing?
I can't find it anymore. It was pretty nice to have

That number would buy a full set of 6 new engines for the ship. Considering that the engines get a complete teardown and overhaul every 2+ years, there is no way they needed new engines.
Yeah, I'm starting to wonder about that number too. I do remember it was millions of dollars though.
Edit: I found it. John Heald said it was over 20 million dollars in repairs

Carnival just ordered a fourth excel class ship, so there is a possibility that it could bump another ship to San Juan, would probably be a smaller ship

I wonder what condition Sunshine is in places like the engines. I think they wanted to keep Ecstasy for longer but it needed 20-40 million dollar engine repairs (I can't remember the exact number) When it was beached it was all bright and in great condition from what you could see at least

The 200,000 GT class was supposed to be delivered starting in 2029, (according to the reports) but Josh Weinstein was saying 2027 one would be order for, so this makes sense.
For names I think maybe Holiday, Tropicale, or Festivale to keep the former ships names going like the other excels have had.
The 200,000 class (don't know what to call it) might be a little early for Fantasy class? Destiny could be a good idea since the original crossed the 100,000 line and this one would cross the 200,000. Sunshine might still be in the fleet but the Destiny name was retired 10 years ago.
There could also be a new name for either of these classes, but I think the 4th Excel will have a former ship name

How much are taxes and port fees? I was doing a few mock bookings and I couldn't view them unless I put names in and went to the final page.
Thanks in advance!

It would be nice if they added a date range option on the booking engine so you can look for cruises on a specific day

Also confirmed to receive the new colors/livery like the rest of the fleet that has gotten it during drydock.
Can't wait to see, she's gonna look great in that!

Do you have to pay for Guy's pig & Anchor smoke house?
Nope! We found that to have the fastest service out of all the restaurants.

Carnival doesn't need to replace the Fantasy, Spirit and Sunshine class yet. They still have years left in them, some way more than others of course.
