  1. There is a rumor that Margaritaville at Sea is adding a 3rd ship, sailing from New Orleans, and it is between the size of Paradise (52,926 GT) and Islander (85,700 GT) Sounds like a match to me
  2. Panorama actually in Alaska next week as a part of it's transpacific. Perfect time for an announcement?
  3. Looks nice! Adventure and Encounter will probably get this as well
  4. Somewhere (I can't remember where) Christine Duffy said that the cay in Half Moon Cay is pronounced as it looks. (Rhymes with day) Of course, that probably doesn't mean much🤷
  5. With the exception of Toscana and Smeralda, the remaining Costa ships were designed by Joe Farcus. They would probably have to be normal Carnival ships (or Luminosa type) rather than Italian style.
  6. Before the fire(s 🙄), Freedom was 208 feet tall. The bridges have a clearance of about 170 feet.
  7. They replaced the capacities of the six Fantasy class ships with just Mardi Gras, Celebration and Luminosa. (With Celebration and Luminosa joining the same year Ecstasy and Sensation left) They then added capacity with Venezia, Jubilee, Firenze, and now Adventure & Encounter.
  8. Take a look at this: Adventure can fit under the Sydney Harbor Bridge, which has a clearance of 160 feet. If Encounter can do the same, then Carnival just got two more ships for the 3 height restricted ports while increasing capacity. Of course, if they did that, it wouldn't be without sending other ships to take their place in Australia.
  9. Deliziosa, Luminosa, and the Spirit class won't be available until the 2030s to 2040s
  10. If anyone is interested... Here is a proposal for the new bridge. The clearance would be 230 feet, up from the old bridge's 185 foot clearance. Also, the main span would be 2230 feet, almost double what it was before.
  11. The rumor was 2029 so the large ship could still be in the works. Carnival did say that there would most likely be a ship a year starting in 2027
  12. Carnival Conquest had to come down to Grand Turk to bring the guests back to Port Canaveral. Freedom then sailed to Freeport looking like this: After 4 canceled cruises, they made a temporary repair And then here are the new wings at the shipyard in Cadiz before it was put on the ship in October
  13. Yes, but the question of this topic was asking where Jubilee docks so I circled the one where Jubilee docks
  14. @Cruisegoer More specifically, over here:
  15. There probably wouldn't be a market for a world cruise, but what if Carnival tries something new like send a (older ship, not talking about the 4th Excel here) to South America or even Antarctica? Maybe for a season
  16. Its important to remember that Royal Caribbean's thought of a small ship is still big. The rumors of Project Discovery say that it will be 130-140 thousand gross tons, which is the about the size of the Voyager class.
  17. Why do the cruises from Baltimore start on days like Thursday? It makes it hard if you don't want to take more than 5 days off for a 8 day cruise. I know Carnival departs on Sundays but I feel like there should be a better way around it.
  18. Yeah, I'm starting to wonder about that number too. I do remember it was millions of dollars though. Edit: I found it. John Heald said it was over 20 million dollars in repairs
  19. Carnival just ordered a fourth excel class ship, so there is a possibility that it could bump another ship to San Juan, would probably be a smaller ship
  20. I wonder what condition Sunshine is in places like the engines. I think they wanted to keep Ecstasy for longer but it needed 20-40 million dollar engine repairs (I can't remember the exact number) When it was beached it was all bright and in great condition from what you could see at least
  21. The 200,000 GT class was supposed to be delivered starting in 2029, (according to the reports) but Josh Weinstein was saying 2027 one would be order for, so this makes sense. For names I think maybe Holiday, Tropicale, or Festivale to keep the former ships names going like the other excels have had. The 200,000 class (don't know what to call it) might be a little early for Fantasy class? Destiny could be a good idea since the original crossed the 100,000 line and this one would cross the 200,000. Sunshine might still be in the fleet but the Destiny name was retired 10 years ago. There could also be a new name for either of these classes, but I think the 4th Excel will have a former ship name
