Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I would love an adults-only cruise. I like having mature, upscale, or relaxing adult fun but I like rock walls, water parks, go-karts & ropes courses too! Surely the lines would be shorter on kid-free cruise. And maybe more adults will actually do these activities because there won't be kids hogging them all day. Not sure about the little kiddie clubs but Club 02 could definitely be used for adults as another nightclub/lounge/game room
  2. I don't think I've ever seen shorts in the MDR at dinner, except on women & children. On the first night, they're more lenient so I wouldn't be surprised if some men were in shorts. On a few cruises I've had to wear what I travelled in (gym clothes & sneakers) because the suitcases hadn't arrived. Lots of other cruisers are dressed down too so I didn't feel out of place. Some people really push it, especially on the short cruises. I was on Liberty recently & witnessed the hostesses turn away multiple people in swimwear on the first night. One family had Mom & the 2 little girls in coverups that were passable because they weren't sheer, but Dad & the teen son had no shirts on!
  3. Vegetarian lasagna (Lido & MDR) Shaq's french fries (only on Mardi Gras) Gelato (had it on Horizon & Mardi Gras) Baked Alaska (MDR) Nonna's Meatball (Cucina) Everything from Street Eats (only on Mardi Gras)
  4. Experienced the smell on RC Mariner & Carnival Mardi Gras, inside the bathroom. I can't remember much from Mariner but on Mardi Gras I only remember the smell on embarkation day. Either it went away or I just got used to it. It was a faint odor so it wasn't a big deal.
  5. Breakfast- Banana bread! Usually take a few slices to my room that evening. I rarely see any desserts I like in the MDR, so that's my go-to sweet. Lunch- Gelato. If they have a good cake that day, then I'll take it to my room to have after dinner. I loved the lunch buffet when we docked in Ocho Rios on Horizon. The curry goat, jerk chicken & ital stew were amazing. They also had the best hummingbird cake that day and one other day. Haven't seen any of these items on other trips. You didn't miss anything. Mardi Gras buffet ranged from just ok to lousy. Thankfully there were lots of complimentary options. I mostly went for the salad, fruit, and gelato.
  6. Sailed out of the terminal twice in April (Liberty uses the same terminal). Check-in times were 11:30-12 (Mardi Gras) & 10-10:30 (Liberty). For Mardi Gras, we were running behind & didn't arrive to the parking garage until about 11:40. Long line at check-in but it moved fast & we were onboard in no time. For Liberty, we arrived at about 9am. Some people started lining up outside of the terminal but no point in doing that since the previous cruisers were still debarking. We just sat in the car until a few minutes after 10. No line at check-in. We sat in the waiting area until about 11am when boarding started
