  1. Duh. Which if you had read my entire l post, that WAS my point. Pick and choose which cruise lines seemingly offer the best value/cost/experience for you. Then check it out. Seems like you think NCL is a good choice for you. Which is perfectly ok. 😊
  2. Congrats…you win for the FIRST and ONLY 🤣. I expected more. But…not from the simplicity of Hash Browns and Cookies. On their own…not a big deal. I guess you failed to see how far down the “change chain” this element resided. It is a culmination of change that creates the outrage around Hash Browns and Cookies.
  3. NCL really is pushing more and more people towards other lines by messing with the quality, quantity, and availability of one of the elements needed for human survival…FOOD. (Okay, I’m ready for the 🙄 and 🤣.) And, while we all know no one will starve on a cruise, food offers comfort and enjoyment to most of us. Cruises have historically been a place where we can indulge beyond our norms with food items we don’t typically eat at home. IMO, NCL has gone overboard. First it was quality, then portion size, then reduced operating hours in buffet, then the elimination of crowd favorites (hash browns, crepes, cookies)…now reducing the number of venues offering food & beverage. My prediction of next to go: bacon (less often in buffet, fewer pieces put out at a time), French fries (they will be frozen baked not fried), specialty dinner bread will be now basic dinner rolls, butter will be margarine, half and half will be coffeemate, OJ will be cut with water, ice cream will carry a charge. There is a reason I still have unused CF certificates. We have two NCL cruises booked, but more snd more we are checking out competitive cruise lines, with 2 already booked on MSC.
  4. YUM. I’m impressed. Lucky bakery to have you at the oven.
  5. This is true. I accidentally added $500 CN to a booking that already had a $500 CF as the deposit. While it was never caught by NCL, I checked daily after final payment to make sure they hadn’t canceled my reservation. The worry wasn’t worth it.
  6. Well they sure have improved the Platinum tender process. Our cruise in November there was almost a mutiny with a room full of Platinum +. The entire tendering process was a total cluster.
  7. That is a true. When we upgraded from OA to BA, I saw a lot of cabins on NCL.com that the WP rep couldn’t see.
  8. We booked an Oceanview where as we typically do balcony for the exact reason. And…to save a few $$, too. Wishing you a fabulous time regardless which one you choose.
  9. I thought of something that might make a decision a little easier. The NCL cruise is on the Sky, which is one of their older ships. From what I seen on YouTube videos, the cabins are extra small. Also, if you like a more active cruise while onboard, it seems like Virgin offers more to do like yoga sessions, onboard parties, dance lessons. While NCL does have some activities, IMO the activities are more subdued on NCL.
  10. Ignore my comment in #4. I realize now that must be the Virgin itinerary. Sorry about that.
  11. I noticed in your highlighted text you show Agidar but on the visual itinerary it doesn’t show.
  12. We are also booked on the 9-day Lisbon-Canary Islands. My perspective is this. Final payment is not due until 120 days out. So we have plenty of time to monitor the good and bad of NCL before shelling out final $$$. I am not 100% sure with NCL, but if you think you may want to cancel, don’t buy the NCL travel insurance until final payment. I ran into an issue with MSC where I cancelled a cruise six weeks after booking and they wanted to reduce my refundable deposit by the amount of insurance. Evidently you only have s 30-day cancellation clause for the insurance.
  13. We have an unused CF that also has a 2099 expiration date. And as magnoliablossom stated, there is no double up for he CF. We are also doing a Lisbon - Canary Islands cruise in Nov. ‘25. It’s so far out…but I still get excited thinking about it!
  14. They better not touch the French Fries 🍟. @OrcaGirl is on the Bliss right now and just reported that there are no hash browns, cookies anywhere. Waffles and Eggs Bennie only in MDR. This is such a stupid way for NCL to save pennies. They are denigrating the brand bite by bite.
  15. That post was from 2007. In regards to NCL WorldPoints, there are no certificates.
  16. What a wonderful accomplishment and accreditation. I don’t know if you know this, but if you run Gand over the screen it makes the bees buzz. We accidentally created a hive. We had put pineapple in our wooden compost box and by the time we realized we had a full blown colony. We found a local beekeepers group that came and rescued them. I’m really enjoying your posts…and your zoom seems like she’s full of young fun.
  17. I LOVE Honey Bear…we always get a little win on it. And, that clapping bear and buzzing bees are too cute. This was our score last November on the Bliss.
  18. It’s there on the Sun. B2B, Honolulu to Papeete to Honolulu, 10/23-11/20…and it can be yours with an additional 25% off. Nice!!
  19. The ones I’ve seen were AK to Japan and the reverse. You might try Cities in Destinations search for Seward and Toyoko. Good luck!
  20. Yay!!! So thrilled your journey onboard continues.. and yhe Bliss is such a beautiful ship to be on. Is your Mom still wheelchair bound or did she get a walking cast?
  21. JACKPOT!! I would be thrilled to get a coupon like that.
  22. I love the Bliss and I love Alaska…but not as a pair. The port times of Bliss in many of the AK ports are not very long. At least the Latitude cruise goes by Glacier Bay…which most itineraries don’t. But a Hard Pass on the cruise based on the high prices you mentioned.
  23. Your vow renewal pic is do cute. Y’all look so happy. 💘
