How Strict is the Dress Code on a Nude Cruise?
jrt.mom replied to littlegit's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I love to skinnydip but have no interest in just being naked all day. Furthermore I couldn't afford all the sunscreen it would take to protect my lily white lady bits. -
Whooo! I'm glad you were able to change your flight...I was feeling stress just lying in my bed reading this thread!

I was wondering the same thing...even if they were wearing drysuits I don't think it would be pleasant sticking your face in that water!

I'm doing an Alaska to Hawai'i repositioning cruise in October, I can't wait to see the juxtaposition of items in the gift shop.... -
Just got screwed out of nearly $500 can.

Being a solo on this trip I was elated that NCL gave me 50% off my airfare. And their rate even before the discount was far lower than the cheapest flight I could find. I might be seated on the wing or in a bathroom, but I saved close to $1000... -
This is an udderly silly topic...

This is very helpful. I agree that Cagney's doesn't sound vegetarian friendly but I have had some great meals there made up entirely of side dishes while my traveling companion ate cow.

That does it, I'm moving to Bird's house...

What he said...I've always felt like I need a vacation from my vacation!

Wow, I hadn't thought about the slow roll "jet lag" you would get on a transatlantic crossing...at least on this cruise it shouldn't be a problem, other than the real jet lag flying from West Virginia to Vancouver the day before.

POA (Pride of America) Excursions in Kona and Kaua'i

To add to omahabob's post, the helicopter tour I did met at the shopping center a short walk from the ship and shuttled us to the airport. It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny, especially now since NCL has dropped the Na Pali sailby portion on the trip. We booked the tour after finding out we were to miss it due to "maintenance issues" and really wanted to see the cliffs and the helicopter is a great way to do so! -
I did this on the last cruise. Wasn't cheap, but worth every penny! My roommate didn't, but loved the benefit of having the shower to herself since I used the roomy luxurious rainshower in the spa.

Haha! I wondered the same thing. I chose it because I couldn't decide whether to go to Alaska or Hawaii, and since this cruise goes both places I didn't have to pick. I also wanted to give sea days another chance and I DO need to learn how to chill...I figure this will cure me or kill me!

The sea day in Alaska was so foggy you couldn't see 5 feet from the boat. It was so disorienting it felt like we were going in circles. If it's clear I do enjoy watching for whales. Thanks!

I don't drink and the pool deck will be too chilly until we get far enough south. But I love the gym suggestions, I've never been on a ship long enough to visit them. I walk every day on the promenade deck, so I'll do it twice instead of once...got to work all that extra cruise food off!

I've done the zodiac snorkeling tour in Kona and had a blast. We visited two snorkeling spots, took our raft into sea caves, and saw dolphins. On Kauai I did the zip and dip trip and it was top notch. You also get to see some of the movie locations that the directors cut tour takes. -
Hi y'all, I'm going on a reposition cruise that will have FIVE consecutive sea days. I went on an Alaskan cruise that only had one, and I was so bored! Can y'all suggest some fun sea day activities to do so I don't lose my mind? I'll be on the Norwegian Sun so there's not a lot of outdoor activities like on the larger ships...thanks in advance for helping keep this West Virginia gal sane!
