  1. So it sounds like there is disagreement about whether RC uses real crab lol.
  2. I mean, the easier thing would be for RCI to require that all its passengers be vaccinated, which would obviate the need to check vaccination status individually to board the tender. Would you prefer that solution?
  3. I am not sure what is ambiguous or confusing about the wording. Unvaccinated guests 12 and older cannot disembark at Grand Cayman.
  4. When? That does not bode well lol.
  5. I am wondering whether the crabcakes and other things that include crab meat (e.g., soup) use real crab or imitation crab. I suppose the question could be broadened to any other food as well. Insight appreciate. Thanks!
  6. Thanks. Again, just looking for the answer from RCI's perspective. If my neighborhood pharmacy supervised a rapid, non-lab test, would that satisfy RCI's requirement?
  7. I am wondering about RCI's policy, not whether a particular pharmacy will do this. Assume for the sake of the question that my neighborhood pharmacy has already agreed to supervise a test.
  8. Basically title. Trying to understand RCI's policy. I would rather not shell out $70+ bucks if I do not have to. Pharmacies in the area offer lab tests, but it seems like RCI is okay with rapid at-home tests if they are supervised (e.g., over video feed). Does this mean that I can just bring a rapid test into a pharmacy, have the pharmacist supervise me/it, and get appropriately formal confirmation (e.g., memo on pharmacy stationery) of that fact, along with the negative result? It seems like that would be free or only cost a nominal fee if I bring my own test. Any insight appreciated!
  9. Not OP, but basically the same question. Considerations: Quiet-ish (for reading) Near pool where we can swim If those point in different directions, we would appreciate the best spot for each. Ideally, not too far from a bar.
  10. Oh, I thought maybe you had a response to my responses. But to squarely address the issue, I would gladly pay $70+ for a dry-aged A5 wagyu filet even if I were getting a free meal at Outback, which I would probably turn down anyway.
  11. You still have not identified a different frame of reference that you seem to think is more accurate or passenger-friendly.
  12. August Symphony varied between $68 and $78, with $73 or $78 being the most frequent prices by far. Would be worth it for my group at any of those prices.
  13. I love that stating that you did not get food you ordered at a restaurant is now “complaining about everything.” Maybe I should thank the waiter after he punches me in the face, too. People are unbelievable. Get some self-respect and some standards, geez. It makes me wonder how many people have actually experienced good service lol.
  14. Again, this is definitely city-dependent. It is way, way easier for me to get craft on tap in Seattle than it is to get Bud (or any other big brewery) on draft. Except maybe Dos Equis at Mexican restaurants.
  15. I absolutely did not accuse anyone of lying. If any statement of mine led you to believe that, please let me know which one so I can clarify or retract it as necessary.
  16. Where? That would get you laughed out of business in craft-heavy cities like Seattle or Portland. I have literally never even seen them on draft here.
  17. It's not. And if it were, I would opt for something other than an old-fashioned, which inlcudes non-alcoholic sugar!
  18. I created a thread a bit ago about beef dishes in the MDR, and someone mentioned that the stroganoff had additions like pickles and other...interesting choices. (Upon research, it looked like the pickles were a Finnish variant of the original.)
  19. In brief, craft beer does not taste like water, which in my experience almost all "big" brewery beers do.
  20. Actually, no. I have not had that happen to me, except for people who have allergies to things like nuts or take medications that interact with, e.g., grapefruit. But I am also not a fan of lying, so take that as you will. Anyone, we can end here and let it go.
  21. No, I do not, but I also do not live in a particularly rural area where hunting is common. If anything, people prefer wild-hunted and free-range meat products where I live, since they are viewed as higher quality and status symbols. If the objection is ethical, that seems categorically different from someone not trying it because they are freaked out or whatever (especially if they have eaten that same food in another form...).
  22. Right, but @Ret MP had already stipulated that not only did the people involved eat pork, they ate pork belly in the form of bacon! It just seems weird for a grown adult to not even try it, especially if it is free and/or a taste off someone else's plate.
