  1. You are way overdue for a nice warm, relaxing cruise. Enjoy and Bon Voyage!
  2. First, Vanessa @JazzyV I believe I forgot to mention you this morning. Thank you for the Care and Celebrations lists again today. Always a great job! I do hope you had a little better night and can find relief from pain soon. Does anyone know if Volendam went to Alofa yesterday? It looks like it skipped there on cruisemapper. I haven't had time to read all the threads yet. The beef looks delicious! Glad I chose it. And the dessert deserves to be shown three times. Have a great day! Joy, for some reason I awoke at 2 (after going to bed about 10:15) and didn't sleep after that. Up at 5 to exercise, breakfast, Daily and now I am planning my afternoon nap. The napping room is blessedly dark! Posting for Dixie was no problem. She did all the work! It was my pleasure, Jack. Thanks to you and Paul @kochleffel for letting us know about skipping Cartagena. That's a real shame since it's a nice port. I really, really hope Pat's statement doesn't come true!🙁 Good wishes for you and family as you prepare for your celebration of your DD DH Lou Saturday. Seeing your out of state family again will be so good for you.
  3. Since Dixie is unavailable this morning, here is the drink of the day for your enjoyment. Long Island Iced Tea A Long Island iced tea is a type of alcoholic mixed drink typically made with vodka, tequila, light rum, triple sec, gin, and a splash of cola, which gives the drink the same amber hue as iced tea. A popular version mixes equal parts vodka, tequila, gin, rum, triple sec, with 1+1⁄2 parts sour mix and a splash of cola. Wikipedia Main alcohol: Vodka, Tequila, Triple sec, Gin, Rum Ingredients: 1 oz Gomme Syrup 1 oz Lemon juice, 1/2 oz Gin 1/2 oz Tequila 1/2 oz Triple sec, 1/2 oz Vodka 1/2 oz White rum splash of Cola Preparation: Add all ingredients into highball glass filled with ice. Stir gently. Garnish with lemon spiral. Serve with straw. Served: On the rocks; poured over ice Standard garnish: Lemon spiral Drinkware: Highball glass
  4. Good morning friends! It is all the way down to 30 degrees now! Today will be sunny again though and about 58F for a high. I should just be happy with that and bundle up when we have these cold spells. Thanks to Rich @richwmn for the Fleet Report and Daily. I see today is All Souls' Day. Growing up that was the name of our Church, All Souls. Yesterday was All Saints and my twin's church is named that. They were celebrating the church's 200th anniversary yesterday with a dinner last night. Ironic! It's also Plan your Epitaph Day. Yikes! Let's move on. Hurray for Men Make Dinner Day! My DH makes dinner almost every night. Lucky me! I know for a fact we wouldn't enjoy the Curried Chickpea Stuffed Acorn Squash recipe. Too many ingredients on our dislike list. The drink of the day is pretty potent from what I've heard. No thanks to the pinot noir. And this day in history was a good one for Indonesia. Thanks to our Food and Beverage ladies Debbie @dfish and Ann @cat shepard. Today I'll post the drink recipe for Dixie but on every other day I give my thanks to Dixie @summer slope for taking on describing the drinks. You are all three appreciated. Prayers for the Care list individuals and their families, my family and friends in need of them, and all at war as well as hostages. The news these days is so depressing you can hardly stand to watch it. Prayers for all! 🙏Hurray for the Celebration list people! Congrats to the Texas Rangers for winning the World Series. 🥂 I wonder if my newly minted Texas family members are fans already? Will have to ask! My thoughts to Graham @grapau27 on your late mam's 12th memory. She must have been a wonderful woman. Happy sailing to those on cruises, whether HAL or otherwise. 🚢 The port today is Kochi City, Japan. It was listed here once on May 31, 2022. I have not been there before. Here is the link to that date so you can retrieve your photos from there. Thanks in advance for taking the time to show us Kochi City! Hoping all here enjoy their Thursday. Stay safe and well!
  5. We certainly did not. They would come to your table and offer wine, both red and white. If you looked at the bottle and didn't care for that wine, you could just ask for a different one. We found a white wine we liked just because it was offered to us one day and we tried it. It was a Gavi white and sometimes we would order that instead of our usual. They have no problem bringing you a different wine than what they have open at the moment. However those very expensive wines, no I guess you would have to pay for that! My palate isn't that particular!
  6. I'm very happy to hear you have approval now for your dental benefits. Having these types of problems hanging over our heads makes for too much stress and at our age, we don't need any more stress! Good luck today.
  7. Oh, well if that hot tub is for guests you should plan on getting in after lunch! No crowds!😆
  8. Terry @smitty34877 I sure hope someone comes soon to take a look at that boiler and it's an easy repair. The weather is much too cold to go long without that boiler! Bruce @aliaschief I bet it's chilly out there today. Even being in a hot tub might not be warm enough. Seems like I remember that is the crew area out on the bow.
  9. Thanks for your collection of botanical garden photos in Juneau. They're beautiful! A totally new look at the city for most of us. I love botanical gardens! Thanks for that update. I'll tag @richwmn so he has that information available for his Fleet Report. Debbie, thanks for the recipes and explanation of why spatchcocked chicken is a good way of cooking it evenly. The first one with the brussels sprouts, potatoes and carrots looks very good. I will give that one to DH. We're having roast in the crock pot today. Sounds like you had a good Halloween. I'm sure you and Sue are both looking forward to having River stay over this weekend. She will love it, too. Thanks Graham. I'm so glad DDIL thought about an Alaska cruise way back then. Look where it led us!
  10. For a lot of cruisers, Alaska is their first cruise. It was for us. I remember back in 2001 at Thanksgiving dinner. DDIL said “I'd love to take an Alaskan cruise”. DH said “me too”! DS and I looked at them and said, "uhhh, okay!!". DDIL contacted a travel agent and set it all up for July 2002. We were such newbies we didn't even know we should fill out all the paperwork online ahead of time so it took us a while to get checked in. But we had a wonderful trip and that is what got us started on cruising. Way back on July 17, 2002 we were in Juneau on Star Princess, where DS and DDIL went horseback riding at the Mendenhall glacier. They were wearing rain capes since it was a little showery at times. They enjoyed it a lot! Aww, they look so young. Some of the scenery along the way. Not to mention the glacier! Meanwhile DH and I walked around town and went up the Mount Roberts Tramway. Here's the Star Princess below us. A wet downtown. The sun came out as we prepared to leave that day, of course. Doesn't it always happen that way? Here I am watching the sea planes take off and land. I remembered something about our first cruise to Alaska in 2002. We were out on the decks in Glacier Bay moving about the ship to get different views, when I looked down and saw a diamond tennis bracelet laying there. I put it in my coat pocket and finished watching the glaciers. A half hour later I went to Guest Services and dropped off the bracelet, giving my details. Right in the middle of it all, another clerk was taking a call from a woman who was distraught over losing her mother's tennis bracelet which was quite unique. It was passed down to her. They had her describe it and it matched the one I brought in. So she came down to retrieve it, and sent DH and I a bottle of champagne as thanks. I always hope someone will do the same if I lost a piece of jewelry or a camera, etc. This is where I found the bracelet, either just before or just after the photo was taken. In 2009 we did back to back Alaska cruises on Sapphire Princess. That worked out very well since the first week the weather in Glacier Bay was so bad, and we had to turn around and leave to try to beat a huge storm in the Gulf of Alaska. On the second segment of our cruise the weather in Glacier Bay was sunny, windless, and almost warm. The photos turned out great! We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on these cruises. In 2009 in Juneau we took a long walk around town, and even walked to see what the Governor's Mansion looked like. After our tour about town, we boarded a local bus that took tourists out to Mendenhall Glacier since we hadn't seen it in 2002. Here is the glacier again, and an interesting display of glacier ice. The next week we docked in Juneau on Sept. 16 but the weather was rainy and miserable, so the only photos taken that day were of another ship coming into port, and our Captain’s Circle party followed by formal night dinner that evening. Looks like the alternating weather forecasts for the two week cruise was still holding true. For our 50th anniversary (actual date) we did the 14 day Amsterdam Alaska cruise in August-September 2019. It was a great day weather-wise when we visited Juneau. The seaplanes are always fun to watch. We got off to walk around thanks to that great weather. Besides you have to work hard to burn calories while cruising! Tram shots Another HAL ship arriving We had a great day!
  11. Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit! Good morning friends! Oooh, it's cold outside! 36 degrees with a high of only 55 today though we will see loads of sunshine thankfully. Thanks go to Rich @richwmn for the Fleet Report and Daily for November 1, 2023. It's All Saints Day by the way. Nice days to celebrate today and an interesting quote. I bet the chicken dish is good but why so many extra ingredients in the mojitos? Not sure about the wine. It's always good to celebrate vaccines that save lives. Thanks to Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope and Ann @cat shepard for their food and beverage reports. Prayers for all our Daily friends, my family and friends with serious concerns, victims of shootings, and of course those involved in protecting themselves and their countries overseas. Congratulations to everyone enjoying cruises, birthdays, anniversaries and the assorted celebrations! Our friend Annie @marshhawk and Chuck @catmando are going to be in Funchal, Madeira today as they make their way across the pond to HOME. Hoping they are well and enjoying themselves. Thank you Vanessa @JazzyV for your Care and Celebration lists. Praying for you to be pain free very soon. The port of the day is Juneau, Alaska, a nice port of call during the Alaska season. It has only been our port of the day one time before, believe it or not. And that time was March 14, 2021 - 2 1/2 years ago!. Amazing! It's not easy getting to the links from that far back but I did find it so here is that link. My pictures from that far back often disappear from old posts but I will find them anyway and place in my second posting. Hoping you can find your photos. I noticed this morning that Zuiderdam was moving along in a southerly direction in the Red Sea instead of Aqaba, Jordan. I guess they've had to adjust their itinerary. There are a lot of U.S. Navy ships in the Red Sea right now. I hope they all stay safe over there. Have a great day everyone! Stay safe and well.
  12. He is going to be a tall one being over 6 feet already. I understand his being focused on his football team. We had a grandson on his high school football team, too. It's a big deal every week during the fall semester. DD was (and is) a school district teacher and went to all the games, and does that almost every Friday to this day. They like to show their support and the kids like seeing their teachers there. Of course we have Ren who is focused on his soccer team and is growing like your teenager is. He's 16 and 9 months and passed his Dad's 6 foot height. Of course some of his height might be that mop of hair on top of his head!! DH and I are short and are amazed our son reached 6 feet. We must have some taller ancestors! No problem tendering in from our anchored Royal Princess the first time we were in Guernsey. The second and third time were on Prinsendam like your trip there. Sharon @Sharon in AZ my condolences you and your Mom on the loss of your aunt. My Mom was youngest of a huge family and the last to go. Boy they really had big families back in the day! @57redbird wonderful news about NO PAIN! Amazing!
  13. Thanks Graham! Glad to hear you've enjoyed Guernsey as well! Good luck to you and Jim on your upcoming cruise. With your DH doing better now, it should be a fine way for you both to get away and be pampered. Not surprising to hear the teenager is growing like a weed, what with all the great nutrition he receives with your cooking skills. How old is he? What a darling trick or treater! I'm glad you were able to get through yesterday alright, being your DD DH's birthday. Hopefully it's easier as time goes by. Terry, great news about Tana improving, though slowly, from her pneumonia. Bless your household! It was nice hearing about the schools in your El Salvadoran port being let out for the cruise ship arrival. It was good to hear they were practicing their English as well. That happened to us during our first time in Qaqortoq, Greenland in 2011. Teens had clipboards with questions on it and would ask us to answer them, using their English language skills. And the daycare brought all the pre-schoolers to the square to see all the strange "tourists". Good times! Glad you like the book too! I've never seen the movie believe it or not. I think books are usually better anyway, don't you? Sorry to hear about the snow there. Those kids will have to work for their candy with weather like that on Halloween! Vanessa @JazzyV I hope you can get the book soon. It's stored on my Kindle so I can re-read it whenever I want. I remember the first time I read it I thought, is the whole book going to be letters between the main character and her editor/publisher? It's a unique concept but it works and you really get into it when the Guernsey characters begin sending letters too. It's hard to conceptualize life as they knew it back then.
  14. I'll post my photos of St. Peter Port, Guernsey now. These were from May, 2019 on the Prinsendam. We were also there in Sept. 2018 also on Prinsendam and May, 2015 on Royal Princess. The view from the ship and tender ride. The Castle Cornet, an old harbor fortress. Your view as you leave the tender pier. Salem Church Cute signs around town, but the second one needed a proofreader. You'd thiink they'd get the island name correct. Taken from the lawn at Candie Gardens, our beloved Prinsendam in the distance. There's always something blooming there. Our journey down the hill and one of the charming streets. Sunset on the Prinsendam that day, May 5, 2019, taken through the dining room window. On prior visits we visited other places around town so I'll check for some photos from then. I always enjoy this particular port and have been lucky to be able to tender in each visit due to decent weather. Not always true unfortunately for some cruisers. The September 14, 2018 stop at St. Peter Port on Prinsendam started out sunny but clouds arrived shortly after we got to shore. From the pier we turned left and walked towards the La Valette bathing pools near the Underground Military Museum. I'd be a little worried about bathing near those rocks, though. A nice view from over here though. We popped our heads into the Underground Military Museum but didn't want to spend our time underground so didn't go any farther than the entrance. The people of Guernsey were under German occupation during WWII. I've read the novel that describes the occupation twice now, and really enjoyed it. It's called "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. I highly recommend it. You'll understand the title when you get into the book. This port is a hilly one and on this second time here we found these stairs to move up to a different street. From the top looking down. Someone's gate which I find unique. Their view Look at this private property, called Grange Court. Some lovely residences. Our next stop was Victoria Tower which was erected in honor of a visit by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1846. Interesting that they let you borrow the key to go inside. The cannon is one of two German WWI cannons buried as the second WW approached in 1940 so that the invading German forces would think the island wasn't fortified. The two German cannons were excavated in 1978 and are back on display in the garden there. Next we walked through the Candie Cemetery (which runs alongside the Candie Gardens). Back to the ship! There's always lots to see here! Sorry Roy! I lost you after the first three photos but it's impossible to represent these wonderful ports in three photos!
  15. Good morning friends! A bit cooler this morning at 50 degrees. It will be a cloudy day with a high of only 60F, which is about 20 degrees cooler than yesterday. Tonight it will get down in the low 30's here so freeze warnings are out. Hopefully this is a short-lived cold snap. Yesterday afternoon was too sunny and hot to sit on the front porch so I escorted neighbor Brenda to the back deck where we sat in the shade while the breeze blew leaves off the trees. Several landed right on us. We had a good visit and hope to repeat our little get togethers often now that we're both home for a while. She said their Volendam cruise in Alaska was a highlight of their 5 month trip. Happy Halloween everyone! And congrats to the Texas Rangers for their win last night. Thank you Rich @richwmn for today's Daily and Fleet Report. If I had a pumpkin I'd carve it. No trick or treaters in my area though to see it. Anyone know how to increase my psychic powers? I should read up on that. Congrats to the Girl Scouts on their founder Juliette Gordon Low's day of recognition. I'm fine with the quote. NO thank you to the meal suggestion. What is a Fiscal Agent? Dixie will have the answer. I might take a sip of the chardonnay to see how I like it. And it was an important day in the religious movement back in 1517. Thanks to our gals Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope, and Ann @cat shepardfor their reporting today. Prayers said early today for all on our Care list, those innocent people attacked and at war, the release of the hostages, my family and friends in need of help, and anyone not on the list but still in need of assistance. Hoping Baby Murphy is getting along well on CPAP and that Tana has some relief from the pneumonia she had. Good wishes to Lorraine @cruising sister's DB during his surgery today. A salute to all cruising or preparing to cruise! Enjoy being pampered and we hope for smooth seas and good weather along the way. Thank you Vanessa @JazzyV for your lists each day! You do a wonderful job! Praying for an improvement in your pain situation very soon. The port is St. Peter Port on the island of Guernsey, UK. What a lovely spot to visit! It was our port twice before on December 30, 2021 and July 8, 2022. I'll post the links for your convenience in retrieving photos. I'm sure we'll see a lot since everybody loves St. Peter Port! Hoping everyone here has a very good day! Stay safe and well.
  16. Joy, I noticed some photos of a hotel in Belfast in my collection that might interest you. On our walk to the bar for Guinness that day, I saw someone hanging on the side of a hotel, sort of rappelling down it. It said Europa on it!! And a closer look at the brave guy at the end of the rope. It didn't look like a window washer set up at all. ?? Lenda @Quartzsite Cruiser your cake looks delicious! I'll take a slice of devil's food cake any day. Which reminds me DD told me yesterday she was making cookies for something at work (elementary school) Tuesday. Ghost cookies! I made her send me a picture because she happens to be a great cookie baker and often has friends ask her to make them for special occasions. She picked ghosts because they were the fastest and she's a pretty busy gal. Cute! I could eat a dozen myself...👻 The pumpkin cookies she's made in the past are really adorable.
  17. The third visit to Belfast was on June 9, 2017 on Prinsendam. We caught a peek at Captain Ane Jan Smit on the exterior bridge wing guiding us into the dock We did the usual shuttle bus ride to downtown, always dropped off near City Hall. We wandered by the Merchant Hotel again, the tilting clock tower, and saw an interesting building the Bittles Bar. How’s that for squeezing a narrow building onto a narrow plot of land? Here are a few of the interesting sights seen as we walked in the vicinity of Victoria Square shopping mall. Fourth visit was on Sept. 9, 2018 again on Prinsendam. Again they had the double decker shuttle bus to downtown, though if you needed a taxi there were British style taxis parked next to the buses. Once again I checked on the tree planted as a memorial to those lost on 9/11 in the U.S. Looking strong! It had been planted 6 years earlier on 9/11/2002. It was a Sunday and we saw a vintage motorcycle club had the old bikes on display for all to see on City Hall grounds. Some were from the 1930’s. Then since no stores opened until 1 pm we wandered down to St. George’s Market, sort of a farmer’s market. It seems everybody in Belfast was there because it was packed! Lots going on! In addition to what I show you here, there were fish vendors, butchers and produce sellers. We couldn’t have sat down to have a snack or refreshment if we wanted to because all seats were taken. And it was pretty loud in there, too. After taking a close look at all the displays we headed back to the ship on the bus. Thanks for hanging in there with me on all these photos, but I hope I showed you there's a variety of sights to see in Belfast.
  18. It’s nice to see the port of Belfast, Northern Ireland because I’m sure a lot of you have great memories from there. Or perhaps you’ve never been there before and would like a quick look at it. Our first time there was in 2011 on Emerald Princess after a Baltic cruise followed by a transatlantic back to the States. We were traveling with friends Susan and Scott. The ship’s shuttle to downtown dropped us off across the street from City Hall. We walked around City Hall grounds and noticed a stone commemorating September 11, 2001 with a tree planted just next to it. There were some flowers laid there and some small American flags placed next to the stone. Each time we’ve gone to Belfast we walk around the City Hall grounds and stop to see the stone and how big the tree is getting. A little sparse on the leaves here After that we walked to a famous bar called the Crown Saloon (nowadays known as one of the Nicholsons Pubs). It is practically across the street from the Grand Opera House on Great Victoria Street not far from City Hall. It seems everybody was there so since it was so crowded we went to a different bar nearby. There is a Robinson’s Bar and a Brennan’s Bar one on each side of Crown Saloon. Robinson's Bar We went in Brennan’s because Robinson’s had people waiting to get in too. Everyone but me enjoyed a Guinness (I don’t drink beer) and we enjoyed conversing with a group of ladies celebrating birthdays. Sorry this one is blurry. The second time we were in Belfast was in May 2015 on Royal Princess with friends Sandy and Bob. Due to high winds the ship had to wait all day to dock there. It was 6:30 pm before we were cleared to leave the ship. We took the first double decker shuttle bus to downtown. Again we saw City Hall, the memorial stone and the tree which appeared larger than four years earlier. That’s a good thing! You can read this one! Across the road from City Hall, Belfast Metropolitan College. This time we walked another direction, passing Victoria Square shopping mall. We saw St. Anne’s Cathedral and Albert Memorial Clock which is tilting. Then on the route back we came upon the Merchant Hotel. Some gentlemen standing on the verandah saw us stopped to take photos of the building and talking about it. They invited us inside to see some of the beautiful renovations done recently. It used to be a bank but is now a 5 star hotel. One of them said his name was Conor Houston (man in middle of photo on the verandah) and he said his father had headed the renovations from the Ulster Bank building to the Merchant Hotel. He even took us to the vault in the basement. There were many amenities available. He said he had gone to school and spent a lot of time in Boston and since Bob and Sandy are originally from that area they enjoyed chatting a bit. Conor also told us Belfast holds the U.S. in a special place in their hearts due to all that we have done for that city. That was nice of him to say. After visiting the Merchant Hotel, we walked back to the double decker bus and rode back to the ship. We were late to dinner (late seating) but no one was there so the waiters were happy to see us and hear about our jaunt around town. I'll continue with visits 3 and 4 in the second post. There's lots to see in Belfast.
  19. Good morning friends! 56 degrees here this morning with another sunny day expected and a high of around 80. Thanks Rich @richwmn for the Daily and Fleet Report. Neighbor Brenda, who is back from their motorcoach sojourn across the US and into Canada, wanted to have another coffee klatch (peach iced tea for me) on my front porch today. She thought it might be too chilly mid morning so said why not after lunch? But the porch will be sunny and rather warm this afternoon so we may have to head to the back deck for some shade. I'd better get the chairs and table wiped clean just in case. Should be interesting to hear of all their adventures this past summer. They even stopped long enough for an Alaska cruise out of Vancouver. Well Halloween is rapidly approaching as evidenced by Mischief Night, and candy corn. You only see candy corn at Halloween. I'd rather have chocolate!! Hope there's no mischief here or where you are either. Checklists keep our lives organized but isn't it strange how we have a day set aside for every little thing? I'm passing right by that quote! I think that menu suggestion has gone a bit far in the odd ingredients put together, but let's see what Debbie can find. I'm not a fan of mojitos or cabernet sauvignon so will pass. I'm sure the Bosphorus Bridge was long awaited and very welcome, back in 1973. Thanks to Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope and Ann @cat shepard for their F&B reports today! Prayers have been said already this morning for all on the Care list, for my family and friends in need of them and the list is long right now, for those where there is no peace and for the hostages taken. I pray for better news for all involved. 🙏 Three cheers to all celebrating happy events in their lives, and those cruising or planning to. 🎉 May all at sea experience smooth seas and fair weather.🚢🥂 Thanks Vanessa @JazzyV for your care and celebration lists every day! No report on DGS's soccer game this weekend since it had to be postponed. Apparently it poured rain Saturday and had been raining quite a lot this past week so the fields would be damaged even if it hadn't been raining. I believe it was another Texas team and not a big deal to cancel it. He was alone for the weekend while his parents went to LA for parent's weekend at elder brother's university. No report back on that yet. The port today is Belfast, Northern Ireland. This is the first time for that major port so no links again today. We enjoy the British Isles cruises so have seen it 4 times and enjoyed all the visits. I'll post photos in my second post. I'm sorry to say I didn't see any photos yesterday of Maloy, Norway so I guess someone will have to go there and report back to us. Thanks in advance to everyone for their photos today of Belfast. Have a great Monday everyone. Please try to stay safe and well!
  20. Cherry chocolate sounds good to me! I seem to remember those chocolate treats you get each night in the aptly named "The Restaurant". 😉 Welcome back! It has been a while. Thank goodness for your hunter cats! Oh boy! A new cruise to plan. Sounds a lot more exciting than the new driveway.🎉
  21. Wow, so many cats shown here today!! I can't think of a single cat in my immediate family. My siblings, children and grandchildren all own dogs. We have neither. Keep the photos coming. We definitely are seeing more cats today than Maloy photos!
  22. Oops! Sorry Amelia! You are definitely the boss.🐈 Nice cruise booking! Congratulations! I hope your friend can go with you. I remember the beverages in the Grand Salon. No need for bar waiters to come in and out. Enjoy your dinner this evening, and lunch in Halifax. Love it!
  23. So if I counted correctly that's 8 cats. You'd better get to Target early and get plenty of kitty litter on sale. Wouldn't want them to run out before you get there. 😄 Happy Cat Day!
  24. Good morning friends! A beautiful moon out there! The weather here is 56F and a high of 81 with sunny skies is expected today. Thank you Rich @richwmn for your Daily and Fleet Report. Looks like a good day yesterday for Georgia. Also Ohio State won and Michigan didn't play. I didn't watch football but I did look for scores this morning.🏈 And I see the Diamondbacks tied the Series last night, so Joy @Seasick Sailor must be sad.😒 Well, some interesting days for us to look at. Hermit Day? Meaning the crabs? Well I guess someone will have a fine day with their hermit crab. The big one is National Cat day and I hope all here with cats enjoy that celebration. The most serious one would be Psoriasis Day. That is a challenging condition and I wish anyone suffering from it well. The quote is too deep for early morning! I'll be interested in seeing the recipe for the chicken thigh dish today. No thanks to the cocktail or red wine. Hurray for King Cyrus "the Great" of Persia for freeing the Jewish captives in 539 BC. Many thanks to Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope, and Ann @cat shepard for their great reports every day. Prayers for those at war and the people lost on both fronts. Hoping the hostages can be found and released soon! Also the people who lost loved ones in the Maine shooting this week. Plus my DB, friends Scott, Susan, Bob, Sandy and Susan's DB Mark. May all our Daily friends find better health and no pain very soon, especially Vanessa @JazzyV and Tana. Prayers Baby Murphy is headed in a better direction and will be able to go home sometime in the near future. So sorry to hear of the sudden death of Matthew Perry. 🙏 Hurray for the Celebration list folks having happy events and wonderful cruises! Thank you Vanessa @JazzyVfor the great lists you keep for everyone each day!🥂🚢 The port this morning is Maloy, Norway, another first time destination. I haven't been to that port and adore visiting Norway so would love to see your photos! No links to help you out but don't worry, we'll wait! Thank you in advance. Have a wonderful day today. Stay safe and well!
