The lousiness of a stock depends on the price when purchased...I paid about $25/share when the markets crashed....it is worth almost double that now :)

Not to go off on a tangent, but we are Suite AND Platinum so we get everything. However, my personal opinion is that suite guests should have the FTTF perks included. Even though it would not help me in the least as platinum, I think that people paying the higher fee for Suites should have FTTF included.

If you order from room service, do they add the gratuity?
I usually have a bottle of Southern Comfort and Skyy Vodka waiting for me in the room :D

... To decrease service across the board to please those who desire less service makes no sense. I don't for a moment believe that is Carnival's motivation. Companies make cutbacks for one reason and one reason alone, money. They merely desire, when possible, that it appears as though they are doing their customers a favor. ...
I believe this 100%. While CC does not represent all cruisers, it is a significant sample size and we should be able to infer that the vast majority here prefer 2 cleanings a day.

We were on the Dream last week and were given the card by our steward. It's a check the box card with the option of morning or evening cleaning and there was no box for both. It also contained boxes for any extras you might need, like extra blankets or towels. Our steward did give us his personal card with his number and told us to call him if we needed anything.
Did you check just one box, or both of the morning and evening boxes?

...as I type this from my iPhone (as the entitled do). I personally think that almost everyone who can go on a cruise or goes on a cruise has moments of entitlement..."I'm entitled to throw my towel on a chair and keep it there all day" I'm entitled to jump in front of someone in the buffet line", "I'm entitled to NOT sanitize my hands so that others may get sick"...none of us are perfect citizens. If the worst thing you do in life is prop a balcony door open, you are not a terrible person

Here is the issue though...when we all started doing this years ago(yes i said "we" because I USED to do this) it was not really understood that it could cause serious problems with the other cabins in the area. I thought it was only my cabin that would be affected.
Once it became known that you could be raising the temperature of your neighbors because of the way the A/C system works, I stopped doing it out of consideration for them. That is also why I take the time to close my balcony door manually instead of letting it slam.
Anyone who props their balcony door open, knowing that it will cause issues for their neighbors, is being very selfish and inconsiderate.

Yes it is absolutely worth it, especially if you have never had one before! The only problem is you will never be able to go back to an Inside cabin again :p
-
Wish they would let us pick from a list so we get something we can use
Yes that would really be helpful...but i doubt they will do it because it will take more time to take care of everyone.

Unless you have pre-paid your tips, remember to add those in to your budget - 2 cruises' worth! :)
Not questioning your choice, but if it were me I would probably just do one cruise with no budget worries, rather than a B2B with restrictions.
It is VERY easy to spend a lot of money if you aren't careful!

There is a cruise critic feature article Dramamine VS Bonine

If you think the soda prices are high, take a look at the liquor section

Ours was already empty on Conquest last month.
That is good to hear, we will be on the Conquest in a few weeks and I always feel bad making the steward empty it out :)
-
It also depends on which port and what your activities will be :)
The key is to not take everything you want, just what you need...it is no fun hauling heavy bags around in the hot sun :p

Buy the Cheers! package, and hit your 15 drinks per day maximum. The pillows will be great! :p

This thread has a link to a great movie of the Breeze taken with a drone in La Romana

I just emailed my Shareholder information Wednesday and the credit was applied within 24 hours.
Here are the steps I follow:
1) Wait until the cruise is only 3 or 4 weeks away
2) Get latest PDF statement from broker
3) Email guestadmin@carnival.com with Name, Sail date, Ship, Booking number, and attach the pdf
This process works for me every time, and I have never experienced any delays as others mention. :)

We were given one of those on our last cruise for our honeymoon, my wife used it to buy some kind of lotion that was like $55, so we had to pay the $5 difference.
So in the end, you bought a $5 bottle of lotion for $5...those markups are brutal :p

$100 total to go from an inside to ocean view is a great deal! Definitely take it, and enjoy the view! :)

There are several sizes of suites: Junior suites (only 2 total on Conquest), Ocean Suites, Grand Suites, and Captain's Suites.
I assume you are talking Ocean or Grand suite? They are larger than standard rooms for sure, but only the Captains suite has multiple bed rooms.
Put the 20 year old in a cabin by herself so you can have some privacy ;)

We always take a taxi to the airport. it is a flat $27.00. and about 20 to 25 minutes.
But 5 people with luggage will not fit in a standard cab. I just did a fare estimate with Uber XL and it is 36 to 47 total. Regular Uber X is 18 to 23.
That flight is too early to chance any other form of transportation.

Also, it is much easier to carry a passport rather than a BC. I think it makes it a little faster to check in also :)

I think many people are missing the point. There is NOTHING ANYWHERE that says " All gratutities included" and there IS a "TIP" portion on the receipt. For some of us that usually means that tips are NOT included and we should add 20% (or so) to the bill. The fact that they do not specifically say "all gratuities are included" is obviously confusing.

Can you use your drivers license?
No, because that does not prove citizenship.

I am both Platinum AND have a suite in about 4 weeks. I don't think there are any suite perks that add to what I already get as platinum, apart from the room itself. We like the extra room so that will be great, but other than that there is no difference from us booking a standard balcony. :o

Thank you for doing the right thing and leaving it with the ship! :)
