Speaking of bourbon, I stopped into the local to get some cheap wine to bring on board and snagged a 12 year 1792 for $60, a complete and utter steal.

Accommodations: We are doing connecting Central Park balconies, this is my first time with a connecting room and the first time doing Central Park. At $1600 per room ($3200 total for all 4 of us) this felt like a steal considering the price of suites that offer similar square footage. We’re pretty close to the trellis bar, so I’m excited to have some music to listen to on the balcony as well as the ability to shout down my drink order.

Hello cruise critic community, it’s been about 8 months since my first ever live review and I decided to come back for more. Hopefully you appreciate a bit of snark flanked with positive vibes and a photo heavy review. This cruise will run the boring New Jersey to Florida to Nassau to cococay route. What is slightly unique is that this is a Friday to Friday cruise which means we get back and have a few days to readjust to real life before work on Monday. This is my 3rd time on oasis but my second ever cruise as diamond. I’m joined with the rest of my family, DW, DS (6 ish), and DD (1 year old) who all inherited diamond status instead of clawing up the ranks like I did. We’re also joined by some in-laws, but truthfully do you really care? I do since it gives me some free babysitting but I’m sure I can skip the introductions and you all will manage just fine. I promise that although this is a “family” cruise there will be more than enough bourbon, gambling, and other areas of interest to make this a worthwhile follow. I’m also planning on determining the correct concoction of Advil, Liquid Iv, Celsius, alcohol, and Dramamine to survive a multigenerational cruise, I’ll take copious notes and ensure you’re all welcome to the final formula. Feel free to drop questions below if there’s anything you want me to check out.

Alright cruise critic it’s been real, enjoy these “late night” shots I’ll post a bit tomorrow on the way home but this almost concludes the review.

Sadly no gambling happened on this casino comped cruise but ds and I had a great time. If anyone is on the fence with going solo with a 4.5 year old I’d strongly encourage it. It’s the right age to have a fun memorable weekend cruise.

Diamond is the most impactful upgrade to the cruising experience. These 4 drinks a day were awesome this perk is so freaking fantastic. Although we only did a single visit to the Diamond lounge it was relaxing and had some wonderful snacks.

Overall this has been a great trip. The key was nice for the early embarkation and the debark, but the only reason I got it was because it was 3$ more than the internet package. We didn’t do any of the shows or any of the reserved spots you get with the key.

Stateroom attendant made up for a lack of soap tonight

One of my Diamond drinks didn’t get used but then I realized there was a 100 obc that I for sure was not expecting. I’m not going to fight 15 when I was gifted 100 out of the blue

Dinner at Giovanni’s was amazing so consistent and tasty. We had the same server and he knocked it out of the park. tipped 20$ yesterday and a 50$ tonight he seemed rather taken aback tonight but it was well deserved.

So I believe I messed up getting the water package, we got 24 waters for somewhere around 28$ for the cruise. I brought two refillable insulated containers and we’ve been filling them with ice and water from the ship. I have probably 16 of my waters left and the only reason we drank them was because I didn’t feel like walking up 3 decks to fill the containers. next cruise I’ll skip the water package
