Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. That's what I am seeing today. TS does not look like a threat to Bermuda. I do not expect our itinerary to change.
  2. Certainly, Bermuda is not NJ. I pointed that out because we would be sailing out of that area and the adjoining seaboard. There's a weather system at play during that week. Weather prediction in Bermuda for our stay has changed almost hourly. It was predicting rain all week yesterday. Today it looks clearer. (NJ Area weather. Source: Forecast Bar)
  3. That's interesting. So, what you are saying is that we are on a cruise to Bermuda. However, if the weather is bad, they'll side track the island and take us to another set of islands instead of staying out at sea?
  4. This upcoming weekend. There are 12 days of rain predicted for NJ. Bermuda seems to be clearing up. The future weather forecast there literally changes by the hour.
  5. I just happened to think of Ray this morning and did a search online, expecting the worst after reading reports about his health over the past two years. This was the one place in my search that confirmed my biggest fear. I am very sorry to learn that Ray passed. I was always amazed at his talent and had fond memories of hanging out with him every day in Princess' Sanctuary where he would tell us stories about his times with Sinatra. Thank you for providing this update.
  6. I would assume a couple hundred other people would have the same idea during a rain event
  7. Fantastic answer. Exactly what I was looking for. You gave a description of the "vibe" of the ship and what kind of crowding to expect in areas that normally would not have that many people had it been a sunny day. Look forward to reading other experiences.
  8. We have an upcoming sailing that COULD potentially be rained out due to an emerging Atlantic storm. Of course, nothing can be done about it. One needs to go with the flow. So, what is it like during sea days when it's raining? I would imagine the outdoor pool area is empty. Does this mean the Solarium gets completely packed? Do indoor on-ship activities get particularly crowded due to the fact people are not hanging outside? Just wondering what the "vibe" is like during rainy/stormy weather at sea
  9. This is GREAT news. It almost sounds like my phone call. Without looking at my original post, I think I explained I had to call more than once and it involved being placed on hold and having the rep talk with a Supervisor. Don't know why it's so difficult for them to downgrade the drink packages given the fact that Zero Proof is less costly for them. I wasn't asking for money back for the reduction as the classic drink plan was originally included. In any event, YES, for us non-alcohol-consuming passengers, it's great to have the ZERO option that gives us a wide array of premium drinks at our disposal. We are going for the San Pellegrino and Vitamin Water. Have a great cruise!
  10. Thanks to both of you for the response. I am going to call the company doing the excursion (BDA Watersports) and get their opinion. Yes, you would think that they are not going to admit jellyfish exist, but if I put it in terms that this could be a medical issue if stung, I think they will be honest with me. I'm still going to do the first half of their tour (jet ski) in any event.
  11. First time in Bermuda. First time attempting to snorkel as part of a local jet ski package. All is fun and games until you get stung. Should I be concerned about snorkeling and jellyfish when in Bermuda this June? If so, I'll cancel the snorkeling part of the package. Thanks
  12. Oh, that's great! I'll make certain I get sent a clear photo with the barcode visible.
  13. Thank you -- both of you -- for your help this morning.
  14. Thanks for the clarification. So, I will have my GF send me a photo of her Passport and I will manually enter the information since I don't have the original in hand. As long as a driver's license is not involved (at the moment), it's all good.
