  1. Could be that. The agent I use is with Expedia.
  2. I'm reviewing my eDocs and a $25 per cabin onboard credit has appeared since my online check-in was completed. Strangely it does not appear in my trip summary under "onboard spending." Anybody else get this? Anyone know why?
  3. We depart tomorrow and I've now received four emails with a link asking me to "re-watch" the safety video to guarantee my good time on the cruise. My check-in status remains at 100% so it's not part of that process. Never had this in past sailings.
  4. After our first cruise, back in the olden times of 2000, we received plastic cards in the mail with our name and Latitudes number on it. Does NCL still do that? I 100% know I don't need it, but I lost mine. Had it in a pouch on the lanyard I keep my room key in on board and can't find where I put it after the last cruise. I'd ask for a new one if it's still a thing.
  5. We depart the 29th, so we still have to do it. Boo! (Even though we don't get to Canada until Oct 5!) Missed it by that much...
  6. Even though it says "land or marine port?" (I'm testing anyway, I don't trust anything I read between now and our embarkation. I don't want to have to go do an expensive last minute test because I misread something or NCL and Canada aren't on the same page yet!)
  7. I just finished the ArriveCAN forms, and it says: "Travellers who qualify as fully-vaccinated with Government of Canada accepted vaccines and any accompanying children under 12 are no longer required to produce proof of a COVID-19 test result before their arrival at a land or marine port of entry." Is this new? Or is it just referring to not needing to do a test on arrival in the port city, vs. testing before embarkation?
  8. We're departing on an Alaska cruise shortly, it looks as though we'll be inside the window where testing is still required. 😕 I used the eMed proctored tests pre-cruise a year ago and all went smoothly, logged in on laptop, short wait for a person to administer to become available, did the test, got results immediately by email and in the Navica app. I'm just wondering if it's all still the same? I don't want any surprises! 🥴
  9. I'd say that isn't a good risk to take. Sizing is often limited. If you're in the Caribbean now, maybe do some online shopping and purchase warmer clothes and down jackets that can be compressed tightly for packing.
  10. On my first NCL cruise there was a "Norwegian Night" in the main dining room. There was a Norwegian item available in each menu category. I remember having something that came with fresh anchovies and being reluctant to try it, but liking it when I did.
  11. Not that I've ever seen with these exceptions: On the smaller ships that do not have a separate "Haven" restaurant, Moderno or Cagney's is dedicated to Haven passengers for breakfast and lunch. On at least the Sun, Moderno has a pizza bar open to everyone at lunch.
  12. Turns out it was a 5-day, but still more information that I had before seeing them...
  13. @#&* we embark on an itinerary with Canada in it on September 29!
  14. @saltygoat I struck hold on one of the earlier season roll calls. A member called Sherrica created an album with photos of all the Dailies. Just go to her profile and under her activity you'll see the album she created. @Sherrica you are the best!
  15. Hi All: I wonder if anyone has been on the Sun on one of the Thursday to Thursday sailings this year? I'm interested in getting a peek at the Freestyle Dailies. There is so little info on Cruise Critic for this ship/itinerary and the roll call is so non-existent we don't even have a meet and mingle organized. Been a long time since I've been on this size ship, the Jewel class are my favorite, love the Pearl and Jewel. But I thought I'd ask about the Dailies! We're on th ship departing 9/29. It's way late in the season, so the weather is going to be interesting!
  16. Thanks for sharing! Information about the Sun this season has been hard to find. We sail on her 9/29 and hope the experience and low passenger count will be the same!
  17. Not "recent" but on the Bliss last fall, someone in our roll call had a cut that was awful. She went back and insisted someone else try to fix it and was still disappointed. And what she wanted wasn't that difficult or unsuitable for her hair type.
  18. We flew to LA and used NCL ground transportation just after the cruise restart. The transportation is on charter buses. No child car seats. And the terminal makes it very difficult to organize and board incoming passengers. Really difficult. A lot of waiting and watching full buses go by. I'd honestly recommend a car service like Execucar, especially with small kids.
