  1. Wifi on Britannia is working as I type, and assuming you read this then it posted. I only had issues on one day out of 13 when it struggled to connect. Left it a few moments and it worked. No real hardship, just slight annoyance.
  2. Last port call today. Copenhagen - shuttle bus provided and took a good 20 - 30 mins depending on traffic, I did it twice. Again was free to Select passengers. Mix of buses and coaches with separate accessible minibuses provided for those who needed. Unless you were a strong and keen walker you needed the shuttle. There was a local bus stop outside the terminal but the Metro station was a good mile / mile and half walk I'd say. Drop off was on Norregade near Sankt Petri Passage. A short walk and you were in the main centre. If you paid then bang for your buck this was by far the best out of Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn and Copenhagen. Kiel and Visby were devoid of shuttles, not needed in Kiel, Visby needed some I feel but see my previous post. Hope this is all of use to some. Maybe a compilation of such things could be a useful thread. I'm not sure how often pick up / drop off points vary.
  3. Different ship but we have been told to wear masks on board Britannia as of 18:00 this evening.
  4. Mrs RL and me have the non-alcoholic drinks package aboard Britannia, we get our money's worth from that each day in the shape of sugary drinks and the odd hot choc. I drink beer and Mrs RL has the odd cocktail but we don't drink wine so we decide to pay as you go on alcohol. We don't drink enough alcohol to make paying double worth it. We will break even for sure and still have on board credit left. Drinks packages are very marmite, people love or hate them, no middle ground really. One thing I will agree with is the comment about drinks cards, if they still did the Pepsi one we'd do that.
  5. Visby - No shuttle buses at all provided officially although one was alledgedly seen shuttling back and forth but I never saw it. Mein Schiff 4 was also in and had bagged all the shuttle buses including the Hop On Hop Off fleet. For the first time I've known we got a memo the night before advising of no shuttles and that the walk to town was 1km (signposted as 1.3km on the ground). It said the walk was uphill to town and would take 20 mins over a mix of paved and park type ground. It also stated coming back should be easier. It also advised those who weren't strong on their feet could struggle. Limited taxis could be available and would cost c15EUR. The message read as think, and think again if you can make the walk. On the ground the 20 mins was correct, it was 1.3km but you also have to negotiate a scaffolding built bridge. This is a basic bridge, obviously safe but Mrs RL did not like the movement nor the fact you could see through the structure. It also contains three flights worth of stairs each side and no ramps or lifts. There is an option to cross a busy road but not sign posted. It is uphill to town and a large crowd was doing it all day in both directions from both Britannia and Mein Schiff 4. It absolutely lashed it down on the way to town and the parkway path was wet and puddled. Worth bearing in mind when picked out clothes and shoes.
  6. Definitely trays in the buffet on Britannia, collected me brekkie with one this morning and me tea last night.
  7. Tallinn - shuttle provided and £4 per person each way. Select was free, Mrs RL and me were not charged and are on a Select fare. Journey time was 5 mins and drops off / picks up just north of the Mere Puiestee tram stop. Plenty of buses and coaches, buses certainly accessible to all but could only take one wheelchair at a time. Drivers very helpful and patient from my observation. Only thing I'd say is £4 for such a short journey each way would feel steep. Borderline though on walkable with ease. Still, not the worst I've done, Lanzarote wins that hands down for taking me one whole length of the ship.
  8. On Britannia in the Baltics and in summary thus far: Kiel - no shuttles, docked in the centre, leave the port, head right and follow the blue line in the pavement. No shuttle bus needed and none provided. Stockholm - shuttle provided and £5 per person each way. Select was free, Mrs RL and me were not charged and are on a Select fare. Journey time was 15 mins and drops off / picks up outside the Opera House. Plenty of buses and coaches, buses certainly accessible to all but could only take one wheelchair at a time. Helsinki - shuttle provided and £4 per person each way. Select was free, Mrs RL and me were not charged and are on a Select fare. Journey time was 10 mins and drops off / picks up outside Makasiiniterminaali. This is a 2-3 min walk to the market and 10 mins from the main department store. Plenty of buses and coaches, buses certainly accessible to all but could only take one wheelchair at a time. Cards scanned getting on bus in both directions. Always a bus waiting at port and in the towns / cities. Masks not mandated and no warned by most. As ever if you are tall and getting on the bus (rather than the coach) then mind your head getting into the back seats and also watch for luggage racks above in any seat.
  9. Helsinki buses are accessible if you get a bus rather than a coach on the shuttle. There was a mix of both today.
  10. It does feel quiet on here. No issues finding seats in bars or queues at the buffet. The sail into and out of Stockholm is worth experiencing in my opinion.
  11. First time poster but live from Britannia as I type. Kiel - no shuttles but town easily walkable. Just left Stockholm and yes buses took mobility scooters, only one per shuttle bus though. All drivers and staff were extremely helpful and patient, you will have no issues here. Will report back from Helsinki, Tallinn, Visby and Copenhagen. Launderette is open.
