Hello! We too are on this cruise right now 🙂 Boarding was pain free, although a lot of walking if one was older or handicapped? Was onboard by 12:00 and went to OV for lunch. Food unremarkable but the desserts were yummy.

He was saying the TAX was 9%, then add the tip (which is expected to be 18-20% for good service).

I bet many would not bat an eye at paying $10. a day more for better meals, which Celebrity could do wonders with considering the economy of scale.

Whataburger, please. (And the Pimiento Cheese sandwiches at The Masters are worth every penny of that $1.50, plus some!)

I suppose I shouldn't laugh at that but..... geez. I, on the other hand, don't mind paying a bit more for a better food. I'm italian... food is *important* for life and pleasure. I know folks who treat food as nothing more than subsistence for life. I just don't get it though.

So basically you're saying the MDR is no better than a chain restaurant? 😜

I bought 3 cards in advance of our cruise on Solstice next week and they were discounted. I have no idea what it is about though? Its a game, right??

Are the flights any cheaper when booked thru Celebrity? I always book our own, I like having full control over seat and section selection, as well as making sure I get my FF miles.

I'm holding my breath also, Boryis. I wish I had some idea if they aren't going to accept any of my bids as I get antsy and impatient, like a freaking kid.

I read someplace on the Celebrity site that you have to have ID to prove it, which of course we do as my husband did 25 years in the Army and retired. But truthfully we rarely get asked to show it. For Military, First Responders, Fire Critters...one of the best discount sites to get on with is the IDme site if it ever pops up for you. Lots of good discounts. They do run your credentials after you upload them and you are then in the system.

Cappuccino is espresso and steamed foamy milk. Any other "flavor" is a fou-fou coffee, and not cappuccino.

The letter they sent me allowed me to see the MoveUp bids I had made. Thanks again to all that contributed ideas.

I would never buy insurance from Celebrity. Its to their benefit to deny you, and from what I'm reading here the coverage is minimal. We always buy ours from a company on Insuremytrip.com. They cover the entire vacation-cruise, air, days spent before and after the trip, ect. Not just during the cruise itself.
