  1. Fabulous!! πŸ‘ I'm sure that wine will be the tastiest ever. Looks so calming.
  2. Congrats @dfish on finishing the furniture assembly and deck staining. You deserve more than this πŸ† and πŸ…!
  3. Congrats on both the butterfly πŸ¦‹ and avoiding the fire ants πŸ”₯ 🐜
  4. Thanks - I'll try it on my computer, I was using my phone.
  5. Thanks for this info on the poppy - it is stunning! I quite enjoy your backyard pictures - looks so peaceful and calming.
  6. That poppy is beautiful!! I have poppy pictures in my half bath. And apparently a spider web, so I guess it's past time to dust 🫣
  7. Once again, an interesting collection of days - I'll celebrate Reese's any day (there's a large chunky Reese's cup in the fridge waiting to be found by DH). Nephew worked hard on HIV prevention education while in the Peace Corp. Museums are fabulous - so much to look at and learn in them. I visited a wonderful museum in Europe that was located inside a church - it was like a "twofer" - museum and beautiful church at same time! Pass on the meal (wish I liked asparagus) and drink (although I do have some Blue Curacao), would love to try the wine (I was in So Africa in 2017 while fires were burning through many vineyards including Stellenbosch so it's good to see a wine from that area), not been to the port (thanks @StLouisCruisers for the great pictures). Best of luck @dfish w/the furniture assembly; I know you'll win and treat us to a pic of a lovely fire table etc al. I tried to book the Aug cruise last night @dfish but kept getting errors at the cabin selection phase, so I will have to call in; maybe it's sold out? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ 🀞@kazu the on the foot test results and you get a call soon πŸ™ 🀞the MavericksπŸ€ have a good night tonight to close out the series and move on to the next round. Good luck to all who may be cheering for a favorite in today's PreaknessπŸ‡ DH asked me to order mulch so he can work in the beds & plant the flowers we brought back from his mom's house - all stores I checked were either pick up only or have very high delivery fees ($35 - $69 for 10 bags), so it looks like we have a trip to make. Currently 70Β° headed to sunny 91Β°; today will likely be hard to breathe as we have an air quality alert / ozone action day. Strange that mowing is not mentioned on the alert; it usually is as gas powered mowers contribute greatly to poor air quality. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Prayers πŸ™ and positive thoughts for all. When reading about our alert, I found these pictures of the floods outside of Houston. As mentioned, Houston is very low w/poor drainage so it floods easily and frequently. Prayers πŸ™ for those impacted. During the floods a couple years ago, one of my workers who lives in that area took his boat out and rescued many people. A member of our recruiting team was rescued by boat during this flood; they're still in a hotel and have not been allowed back in yet to assess damage. πŸ˜ͺ
  8. Woo Hoo - Stars 🌟 πŸ’won in double OT in Denver!! So they're headed to Western Conf finals. Congrats and good luck in the next round. Mavericks πŸ€were off tonight so 🀞they're successful tomorrow night. Post season play is stressful - I ate double serving of strawberries, lol
  9. Thanks for the info; I like reading that as a professional you've seen successful use of them. The Dr did say there are temporary & more permanent ones so I think she'd do either if I tell her I want to move forward. She also said she could "pop them in and out like a wine cork" if I wanted them removed. I think I like the idea of trying the temp ones before going all in on the perm ones. But I cringe at the thought of anything in my eyes, so it's all causing me anxiety. I'm sure I'm just being a baby.
  10. Thanks but ugh. From close contacts & family, I would welcome even a thank you text. πŸ˜’
  11. I love that you reach out to your grads! I do think a lack of acknowledgement is a sign of the times - 30yo niece didn't send thank yous for 3 showers (wedding & 2 baby) and seemed genuinely confused by my disappointment. Same for a couple life-long friends and bonus daughter in the same age bracket - no acknowledgement of wedding & baby shower gifts. SMH
  12. Nice collection of days - congrats to all graduates πŸŽ“ So many books, so little time. Books are the best! The "meal" sounds lovely and @dfish pictures look yummy. Would try the drink 🍸 if someone else made it & left out the marshmallow, DH would like the wine, not been to the port. 1527-1536 was an important but difficult time for Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ 596 lives lost is a high price. Saw a few small trees down in the subdivision, but we did not have any damage from the storms; thanks @Quartzsite Cruiser for thinking of us. Does anyone have experience with Puntal eye plugs? Eye Dr asked yesterday if I would consider getting them. I had not heard of them and preliminary research hasn't provided enough for me to make a decision. The plugs would be in addition to the 4-step procedure she is doing. TIA for any info. Prayers @ger_77 that DH cold is short lived. It was 72Β° headed to sunny 84Β° when I checked a bit ago. Forecast shows sun through Mon so the backyard should dry out. Prayers πŸ™ and positive thoughts for all.
  13. Once again, great pictures. Looks like you really had nice weather - such blue skies. As soon as I saw your pink pictures, I instantly thought of Amazing Race.
  14. Kittens are soooo cute at that stage & size 😍 Maybe the "tough love" is why ferrel cats are so much "scrappier" than domestic ones. I might not be very cuddly if I started life getting kicked & bit by my mama πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ It won't be long before they're scampering around all over that porch. Enjoy!!
  15. Favorite dog we have had was a Border Collie mix. It was fun to watch him "work" in the yard, so pretty when they run & cut. He was a brilliant, delightful dog. Thanks for the reminder of how special Border Collies are.❀️
  16. Thanks for the positive thoughts - 2 1/2 hours at eye dr resulted in me reading an eye chart, no procedure done and being sent home w/more drops & wipes to help clean the pollen from eyelids plus 2 Rx called in. Told to reschedule in 2 weeks hoping my allergies would be cleared up. She said the procedure would not be effective and would be more painful due to the current condition of my eyes because of the allergies. Also told to go to up to 4x/day on the $85 drops and do the new $25 drops every 1 to 2 hours. I need another income source just to fund the eye drops... She also mentioned a plug that she could insert today or anytime. I watched the graphics she showed me & listened to explanation then declined. I need to spend some time researching and read reviews since I've never heard of it. This is in addition to the 4-step procedure she's already doing, not in lieu of. So I'm now off to drive 🏑 in the 🌧
  17. Oh geez - I think the need for bubble wrap continues.🫣 Hope it heals quickly w/no complications. DH frequently comes home with rather large dried blood "trails" and says he wasn't aware he'd done anything when I point them out. I'm sure it's a consequence of the blood thinner he now takes.
