  1. Good collection of days today - DH believes there's no such thing as too much garlic, so today must be his day. I like Mr King's quote (and his house if you get an opportunity to peak at it). Pass on the meal (only the sun dried tomatoes appeal to me), would try the drink & wine, although I am w/ @cat shepard about questioning bubble gum wine, not been to the port. Big day in history for Australia. So thrilled for @kazu to be headed to her cruise!! ⛴️ Thanks @aliaschief for sharing more great pictures - sounds like a wonderful night ahead. Full day of work as I finish a guide and prepare to hand off my work load. Also have to get anything I want/need off computer onto the external drive in case they lock the computer, which is at Mgr discretion. I put a couple cruises on hold last night as an agent will need to finalize bookings. They show "$1 reduced deposit" but at the payment stage I only had the option of paying the full amount or doing a courtesy hold, which is frustrating & baffling. Did not matter if I included HIA or not, I got the same results. Also did not matter the sail date - end of this year or anytime 2025, still only pay in full or hold. I just hope I can power through work and finish in time to call in. One of them I would like to add CO, so I did it as a GTY. I don't have anything booked for next year & having canceled 2 this year, I am hoping at least 1 or 2 come together.🤞 we shall see. This weekend is Figure Out Cat Care - sister usually comes by to check on animals when we're gone, but she's been very unreliable lately, so I'm hesitant to ask her. The dogs will go w/us, leaving only refilling food & water and possibly scooping/refilling litter box for the cat - easy peasy. My concern is that he is extremely social so being alone for a full week will be stressful for him. He uses the dog door, which is great and should result in less scooping/refilling the box, but I'm concerned that if he continues coming into an empty house every day, he may eventually not come back. If sister would be at the house at the same time every day and spend a little time w/him, I think he would know he would have human companionship and would be there. Of course, we can close off the dog door, ensuring he's home, but not going outside AND being alone inside I think would really stress him out. If he goes to the kennel, I think he'd be locked up for a week - they don't let cats out like they do dogs, do they? Maybe I'm overthinking it. This will be the first time in his 4 years of living that he's ever been alone.🤷‍♀️🤔 Suggestions are welcomed. Currently 61° headed to cloudy 66° w/🌧 🌦 tomorrow. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  2. Happy Birthday HAL!! 🎂🥳🥂 Thanks for the memories.
  3. You seem to have a solid grasp of the process.😊 And based on your "willies" comment, I think you have a fairly good idea of port conditions. 😏 The good news is, it WILL be behind you and you'll be onboard a BHB for a fabulous cruise!
  4. Thank you @JazzyV for the awesome pictures! Prayers 🙏 your insurance approves the surgery soon.
  5. Thank you @rafinmd and @Cruising-along for the great pictures!
  6. Interesting collection of days; pass on the meal & drink; would try the wine; not been to the port and would love to go, but airfare is cost prohibitive. Very much look forward to the pictures; thank you @StLouisCruisers for the ones you've posted. Thank you @aliaschief for the beautiful pictures. Dr that ordered yesterday's MRIs is out of town for 2 weeks, so the reports will be waiting for her when she returns. She told me if the show anything to ask my shoulder surgeon for a referral. Prayers 🙏 @kazu you get the news you want today at Dr appt and for @JazzyV procedure goes well for your BFF. Today is work all day. I'll finish a User Guide I've been working on and sit in on a webinar. Thank goodness I'm not hosting as my head is still pounding. Currently 70° headed to rainy 88°. Looks like there's a wet cold front moving in this weekend. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  7. We do need more choices, don't we? It was funny but not when that little car just kept spinning in circles. 🥺 The pork chops were not warm but they smelled good and after a brief re-heat, he ate them so couldn't have been too bad. I hope yours were good.😊
  8. Argh - Grub Hub app shows our driver is spinning in circles. No matter how loudly or frequently I tell Lauren to go the other way, her car does not point toward us. I fear DH will have cold pork chops...🤷‍♀️ or maybe Lauren's DH will have cold pork chops 🤔🥺 And no thank you, I do not care to order something from 7-11 so it can also not arrive.
  9. Thank you - they were the easiest I've ever done probably due to the great tech! Hugs for you and Pauline today as you remember her late mam's birthday.
  10. Those early show times were difficult to coordinate with dinner; I do hope they adjust them to a bit later. I did not attend any of the "camp activities" such as coloring or dot chasing, lol. The lectures seemed to always be SRO. I hope these help - enjoy your cruise!
  11. Not @Crusin71 (thanks for letting me butt in) - here are a few sea day Dailies for the return to San Diego from the K'dam Dec 21 - Jan 6.
  12. Hugs 🤗 @kazu please update us after you see the doctor. Here's hoping the Rx helps so you can go on your cruise. Here's an extra hug 🤗 and prayers 🙏
  13. We were in Messina Nov 7, 2023 on the NS. We did a Godfather tour which was interesting and beautiful, drove the Amalfi Coast and went to Pompeii and Positano. I've shared those pictures so here are a few of the port of Messina as seen from our balcony. We had company Bye bye Messina Messina was port #7 on our itinerary.
  14. Not sure about celebrating Blah! Blah! but someone will let us know why we should. Pie for a meal - yes please! Would try the wine, pass on the drink now that I know what it is, not been to the port; I'll check back to see the pictures I'm sure others will post. I did go to Messina Nov 2023 - will share pictures later. Big days in history. 2 MRIs this morning then a full day of work. Nothing exciting. Beautiful picture @seagarsmoker Not even 5am yet & it's already 72° - ugh. Headed to cloudy 84°. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  15. Yes, please - interested to hear first hand experience. Enjoy your cruise!
  16. HAL has very recently changed the process to show noon on all boarding passes. I have not cruised since that change went into effect. You can still do priority boarding since you have that. If you're not in a rush to board, especially since MDR will not be open, you may find lighter crowds if you wait a bit. If you decide to board toward the front, just be diligent about showing your priority status so you don't get herded into a group that has to wait. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
