Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I was on last weeks sailing. The YC pool was always occupied, but I wouldn't have called it crowded. At least while we were on the pool deck, there were only a handful of smaller kids (4-5) splashing themselves and others as all kids do. There would also always be a handful of adults in the main pool (another 6-8 maybe) and there would always be another handful sitting on the edges of the pool area (another 6-8). I would not have described the pool as crowded and I don't like any crowds.
  2. Our shower started with that Body Lotion in the shower, but about 1/2 way through they swapped it out with "Hair Balm" which I can only assume is conditioner.
  3. I can't imagine that this process was for everyone. But since we were YC and I had zero interest to leave the YC at that time, I have no idea what occurred in steerage 🙂
  4. On the Mar 23 sailing, our group was escorted onto the ship by Butler and taken immediately to our Muster Station check-in. Then all we had to do was play the movie while we unpacked, called the # and we were done.

  6. If they like milkshakes, make sure they ask the bartenders. They don’t advertise them on menus but definitely make them for the kids. There is not any soft serve ice cream in the YC…just an FYI.
  7. Since this is MSC I have no idea how mine will work when I get onboard. However, my Booking Confirmation shows a line item for the $50 OBC for each person listed. I am the only one with Silver Voyager club status, the other two are Classic. So for my booking I'm expecting that I will receive the $50 OBC for each person in the Cabin.
  8. If I’m recalling correctly, the women’s room is on the starboard side. There are two pergolas on that side outside of smoking. One of them probably 15’ from the restroom.
  9. If you are in the Royal/Owner Suites, can you choose which pergola location you want reserved for the duration of your cruise?
  10. Anyone currently onboard, or recently off, that had their port changed from Ocho Rios over to Falmouth? Looking for information on what they are doing about excursions. Are they keeping all the excursions as booked and just taking a longer bus/shuttle ride over to Ocho Rios, or are they cancelling certain ones? Did they happen to offer anything new in the Falmouth area if they ended up cancelling Ocho Rios excursions? Does anyone have reliable information as to when the Ocho Rios pier situation will be resolved? Thank you!
  11. So big brother is watching...good to know.
  12. We are booked in the Royal Suite Mar '24 and have a few questions for those that have stayed in that particular room. - Is it pretty much a mirror of the Seashore Royal Suites that have decent video walk through's on YouTube? - How is the jacuzzi tub on the balcony? Specifically as it relates to the following; fitting 2 people, is there enough hot water supply to fill the tub, is it painfully slow to fill? - Will the butler set-up the balcony table for room service orders, or do they limit what they'll put outside for you? - I know there are 4 pool deck cabana's reserved for the Royal and Owner's Suites, but is the cabana location specifically assigned to each room? We are in a port side room so hoping to get a starboard side cabana. - Without having the walk-in closet, is there a noticeable loss of space for clothes and storage? - How windy is the balcony area when the ship is underway since it's front facing and not fully protected? Any other things I should be thinking of/preparing for with that room type? Thank you!
  13. Are there "North American Grounded" power outlets near the headboard of the bed in the Royal Suite? From the videos on YouTube it looks like there are, but can't see them clearly enough to confirm. Trying to figure out if I need to pack an extension cord like I needed to in the regular YC rooms. We are staying in the Royal Suite next March and so excited for the extra space!
  14. Also to clarify, this didn't happen all the time. We were thinking that the YC should create some dedicated "kids time" pool hours. That way they kids/families can completely let loose and all the adults know to stay the heck away! Problem is there probably aren't enough kids on a recurring basis to implement something like that.
